My son suffers from neurotoxicity due to prolonged exposure to chemotherapy. This has caused major learning disabilities- academically, emotionally, and socially. My son warmed up to “Dr. Ben” in no time at all. For the next week every other sentence was Dr. Ben this or that - true super hero status for our son!! He explained the complexities of our sons condition in a very detailed manner with recommendations for not only our son but for us as the parents on how to handle him. He was very warm and welcoming to my husband and me - listened to our worries and concerns- and more than once asked if WE were ok...and we weren’t even his patients! We live out of state and we’re able to take our results to our school district, their psychologist was so impressed by the detailed recommendations and frequently commented that we need more doctors like him everywhere!! I highly recommend Dr. Ben to any and everyone! He is truly an amazing person and a godsend to our son!!

I've seen dozens of psychological reports but none as poorly put together and erroneously compiled as the one by Dr. Christiansen's office. Not sure if it is him or his staff but, either way, I found it unprofessional and unreliable. I believe there is value in testing but I would try an office with better communications on participants roles, including the end expectations and sharing of results prior to determining whether you want to participate in the expensive testing. At this office, testing and results were not accurately explained or reported, resulting in a complete waste of time and money!

We were referred to Dr. Christiansen after my son's concussion. As a mom, I was very appreciative of his candor and honesty, but even more grateful for his ability to connect to my teenage son and help him to be a more active participant in his recovery. For anyone dealing with concussions, especially those who have not had a fast recovery, I wholeheartedly recommend him.

Originally took my mother to see Dr Christiansen following a car accident she suffered a brain injury. Cognitive testing revealed that she was in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's disease. Although my mother is not easy to deal with Dr Christiansen in his staff have always shown her great dignity and respect.

I would never recommend this so called doctor. The guy is egotistic and rude. His staff can't get a damm fax job done. Guy can't even get the proper paper that the insurance company asked for, and refuses to correct his mistakes. He also belittles people when he gets called out on it.

Dr. Christiansen has excellent rapport with all three of my children. He has been open and honest, and very thorough in their testing. His references to other providers for additional services have been excellent. I highly recommend him and his office.

Dr. Ben helped me a great deal with my relationship issues and job loss. He was very honest and straight to the point. I wanted to get better and not have anything sugar-coated. I would highly recommend his services. Thank you!

tl;dr: Dr Christiansen is dishonest, and charges for things that were not asked for or performed. He really likes himself though, including giving himself 5* review here. I asked my doctor for a low cost test to evaluate if I have ADD. He said I had to go see Dr. Christiansen. I met with Dr. Christiansen for 10 minutes and told him the same thing. I said that it isn't really important and that if it costs very much then I don't want to do it. He said ok they have an evaluation for me to take. I did the evaluation and then went back to review the results with Dr. Christiansen. In his lobby he has a condescending sign that says "If you are 15 minutes late then we will cancel your appointment and still charge you the $200." I was 10 minutes early, but he was 17 minutes late. I noticed because of his wonderful sign that made me feel so welcome (that is sarcastic Dr. Christiansen). When he came to get me from the lobby he walked out and said "Hey....you" He forgot my name! I called him on it and he completely missed it. The report was very obviously auto generated. We spent about 15 minutes reviewing the report. Dr. Christiansen spent most of that time talking about himself. He told me several times that he is on a lot of different boards that people find surprising. Maybe he thought it would impress me. It didn't. When I got the bill in the mail I was blown away that it was $1400! That is not a low cost ADD test if you ask anyone. Especially since the doctor spent less than 1 hour with me. I called the billing office and talked to them about it, but they said there is nothing you can do. I have been working for months to get resolution. I have talked to many people in trying to resolve this. They all say there is nothing they can do because Dr. Christiansen won't bend on the price. I will never visit the Tanner Clinic again because of their complete lack of customer service and incompetent service that I received from Dr. Christiansen and other doctors there. They give you the run around and charge you thousands of dollars, but don't do anything to actually help. Also, side note on the review stars: Ben Christiansen provided a review and left himself 5 stars! Way to keep it honest Ben. Nothing quite like skewing your results. At least someone thinks you are doing a good job. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but the complete lack of care and disrespect I have been shown have motivated me to do it.

I was having some concussion symptoms repeatedly, and was referred to Dr Christiansen. One of the first things I told him was that I had a high deductible health care plan, and keeping costs down was very important to me. After talking with me for all of about five minutes he decided that I needed to undergo their full evaluation. I guess this must be his one size fits all treatment. He also wanted to schedule me for some more office visits leading up to the evaluation but I declined those. Turns out I should have declined all of it. For about 5.5 hours of working with a technician in this evaluation, I was billed $2600. $2600 to a guy who told them keeping costs down was of utmost importance. My insurance company did negotiate the rate down a fair amount, but I am still left with a substantial bill all for an auto-generated test report that says it appears that my brain is functioning normally. On top of all this, it's required to come back in to the office for another paid visit to have the Dr read the report off the page to you. Because of the exorbitant costs and the seeming lack of any individual treatment I cannot recommend this doctor to anyone else.

Awful experience. First off, he was extremely condescending to my husband and I. We took it with a grain of salt. But then once we started having insurance issues, it all became more clear. He didnt follow his contract when going through my insurance ultimately cou terr billing me. After straightening out what was going on with my insurance, I am still fighting over a year later. Incorrect claim codes, my ins7rnace has sent 3 letters to get it corrected and they haven't. They refuse my refund/credit of money I over paid. It's all he said she said. I have no problems with any other dr from tanner clinic. We see several. But we had nothing buy problems from this guy. Beware.

Dr. Ben is fantastic with my children! His staff is always excited to see them and treats them like family when we are there. I have found Dr. Ben's brain evaluation so helpful with my one daughter that I ended up scheduling evaluations for my entire family! The results of this brain testing is like a road map to success for your kid! We cant say enough good about our experience here! Thank you Dr. Ben!

My experience with Dr. Christiansen has been excellent thus far. He has been very forthcoming and helpful following my stroke. His deameanor is very pleasant and I feel comfortable when we meet. I look forward to my continue interaction with him and his staff.
