I am highly satisfied with the treatment I received at Suncrest. The team of people are fantastic and I felt genuinely cared for. I highly recommend Suncrest to anyone who wants to make a difference in their life.

Suncrest played a HUGE step in my recovery, im still getting help but i think im doing better then the first time i came in, when i got there i was scared, embarassed and full of guilt i still feel some of this more at times less at other times. coming here was one of the best things i have ever done, from the first person i met with, Paige was amazing she was patient, compationate, and very understanding!! i didnt feel judged at all and i could tell that she truly wanted to help and was willing to help, as hard as it was to open up to the therapists, i did and again didn't feel like i was being judged at all. i have been working with several therapists either one on one or in groups since June and that may not seem like very long but to me it does cause i have been working hard every day, to get better. some days i really wish that things were back to normal now, but i also know that this is a process and its going to take time, I will be honest, some days still suck big time but, im getting there i take things one day at a time. the therapists that i have worked with are amazing!!! I truly believe that it i had tried to do this on my own, ( which i was going to do it that way in the begining, ) this process would have been a hell of alot harder, i am doing better because of them they have all helped me so much!!! i have developed friendships with alot of people that will last a long time, they are like my family away from home :) I love Suncrest cause it is my safe zone i can come and talk and not worry about what im saying and know that what i say isn't gonna leave. I will truly miss them when im done, hopefully that wont be for a while but they have truly helped me with alot!! I will never be able to thank them for everything they have helped me with, and just saying thank you just dont seem enough. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recomend coming here for help for whatever they ROCK!!!! :)

I have some experience with therapy, was at Suncrest as a client for awhile, I have also been to other therapy centers, and there is a lot about this place that should concern people. 1. There Intensive Outpatient program is chaotic. You get seen by WAY too many therapist and as a client you get burnt out fast. 2. You will get charged $100 for 45 minutes with an intern. It is fine to see an intern, but go somewhere else where you get a discounted price. Discounted rates to see interns is the norm in the therapy industry. 3. While I was sitting in the waiting room, people were being called by name, and therapists were talking to their clients in the waiting room about private information. This is not acceptable! Confidentiality is not something that should be played around with and it is against the law for a therapy company not to protect it. 4. It just isn't great care. Some of the therapist are good but overall the quality of care at this counseling center is poor. There are WAY too many new therapist at this place. 5. I went somewhere else after Suncrest and realized what I was missing out on by being there. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH ABOUT THE SPECIFIC CARE YOU NEED. A therapy company that claims to be a one stop shop should be a concern for those wanting the best chance to overcome their challenges.

Terrible, terrible place. During our first visit, the therapist started 15 minutes late, and ended 15 minutes early. So I got half of an appointment for the full price. She didn't offer any advice or things to work on, but insisted we needed to see her three times a week (who's made of that kind of money?!). The therapist showed no care or compassion during our session. She clearly was only concerned about making money. She was even a recommended LDS Family Services therapist. DO NOT come here.

I couldn’t be happier with an event that Suncrest Counseling recently sponsored! Suncrest brought the renowned psychiatrist, Bessel van der Kolk, author of The Body Keeps the Score, to Powell, OH, and I was struck by how kind the Suncrest staff were. From start to finish, the two-day workshop was well run, organized and supremely enlightening. Rod Jeppsen, President of Suncrest, graciously emceed the sold-out gathering, making sure attendees had multiple opportunities to speak with Dr. van der Kolk. I highly recommend ANY event Suncrest Counseling offers!

In my church capacity, I had some complex cases that needed help in regards to marital issues, addiction, depression, and anxiety. Suncrest had qualified therapists to meet the needs of my congregation. Through their balance of medication management, counseling, therapy, and teaching “coping skills,” I have found great success through the expertise of their qualified counselors and therapists. In fact, in my opinion, Suncrest truly goes above and beyond the call of duty. One therapist spent 45 minutes on the phone to help me better understand the needs of those suffering from depression and anxiety. Suncrest’s “addiction counseling” was excellent for pornography and alcohol addiction issues. A number of members of my congregation have not only saved their lives but also saved their marriages because of the excellent service Suncrest provided for them in this area. Suncrest’s therapists give me a monthly update on those members that are receiving counseling so I am able to support them as well. Their marriage counseling has been superior and helped stabilize the marital relationship of at least 3 couples. I highly recommend the services of Suncrest Counseling. Sincerely, Bryan Arnett

Suncrest Counseling is one of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. I have had more hassle with them rather than help. If I could give them a negative score, I really would. To start, I had my evaluation. This is first meeting you have with the counselor to determine what will be required, it is an hour long. The counselor showed up 15 minutes late and cut me short. I only got a 30 minute session. They wrote my recommendation and never sent it to the courts. When my court date arrived, they stated that they had nothing. I called and called, my attorney called and we never received anything. Finally, they stated they were faxing it to the phone number rather than the fax number, fine… Simple mistake. Second, towards the end of my classes, I had stated that I only have one more left, they told me I had 3 more classes left, I asked them how they figured this and they stated the court documents state 16 class hours and 2 hour 1x1 sessions, totaling 18 hours. I fought that, since my court documents clearly state, a TOTAL of 16 hours. The receptionists said I had to contact the court coordinator, who never answers his phone nor emails in a timely matter, it was constant phone tag. After fighting with him, he said I needed to show him where it says the TOTAL of 16 hours. I asked him doesn’t he have the documents since he is the court coordinator? He said no. How does that make sense, if your client is here per the court and the court coordinator is in charge of your program… shouldn’t he have the documents stating this? Finally after proving to him, he adjusted this. Next, after my final class, I received my Certification of Completion and asked them if they would get this to the courts, the receptionist says yes, you are completely done, you do not have to do anything else. Third, about two months later, I received a bill for $300, saying that I have not paid my classes. I, of course, called to fight this being that I paid for all my sessions prior to the counselors, no answer. They called me back 3 days later, after calling multiple times, saying there was a billing error. “We give our court clients a discount, we didn’t realize that you were a court client.” Fourth, a year later, I received an affidavit stating that there is a warrant out for me, because I never finished my classes. As soon as I received it, I knew exactly what it was. They never sent my completion to the courts, again, causing me more hassle. For a business to mess up once or twice for understandable reasons, fine. However, FOUR times is ridiculous. Please avoid Suncrest as much as you possibly can.

Suncrest Counseling is a fantastic counseling center. I was seen for migraine headaches, as well as deep anxiety. The outpatient day treatment is A LOT of work. You see many therapists at the beginning to figure out who you fit with, and what type of therapist you like. You can pick and choose who you want to see again. Picking a therapist is like shopping. You need to find who works well with YOU, who will push you in the ways that you need. After a few sessions I switched my lead therapist, because I wasn't ready for the push he was trying to give me. That's okay. You can set your own pace, and see whomever you want. All the therapists here are qualified. They will give you a plan, and ask you to come in so many times a week. They have an overall plan for clients, but if you feel like it's too much money, or feel like it's too much, say so! They're not just out to make money, but they are a company. If you're looking for help, this is a great place to go. Take charge of your own care, and find a great therapist. Also, the weekly art group here is phenomenal!

I was EXTREMELY depressed & suicidal when I began at Suncrest. They saved my life literally. I love all of the Therapists and there is no judgement, only caring and concern. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who has an addiction, depression, anxiety, traumas or any other type of event that a person needs someone to talk to and get help understanding their situations and offer solid advice to cope with life.

Before Suncrest, I had no hope left. I was frozen and unable to make positive changes in my life. The day program helped me find myself again. Not only did I learn and grow during the program, I was also taught skills to help me with life after I left. I consider the people at Suncrest to be my heroes. For the first time in my life I hold a steady job and I even started nursing school back in September! I can't say enough good things about this amazing place! If you are searching for hope, they will help you find it. Suncrest has forever changed my life.

After spending twenty plus years searching for a therapist who had the training to diagnose my mental health problems accurately I enrolled in Suncrest Counseling's day treatment program. Many people believe that their therapist should "fix" them with little to no effort on their own. If this is the help you want you should find somewhere else. I wasn't given a quick fix. What I was given were tools, training, confidence and love. Some of the people who have tried Suncrest get irritated by the numerous therapists they met with. What they do not realize is that each therapist has a unique way of approaching treatment for each individual and for each group. Meeting with several different ones gave me not only the opportunity to fine tune my treatment according to my own needs and personality quirks but a wide array of ideas and theories to learn from. Suncrest understands the importance of well rounded therapy which includes mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health. Each of these things need to be in balance in order for us to heal from trauma or to deal with any other life issues. I cannot begin to tell you how unique this idea is. Very few therapists are willing to help with spiritual embalance but it is an integral part of the Suncrest Program. I owe my very life to these amazing people. I will never , in a million life times, be able to repay all they did for me. I have, just this week, graduated a happy, confident person with the knowledge, tools and abilities to work my way through anything life throws at me in the future. I thank God that he found a way to put me in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. I am more than willing to talk to anyone who would like to hear first hand, the sucess I found at Suncrest. Thanks to all of you, my husband has a wife, my children have a mom and grandchildren have a granma Judy. My love to you all.

Suncrest helped save me when I was going through the most difficult time of my life. I needed more than just occasional office visits so Suncrest was perfect because they offered intensive full - day therapy. I met with several therapists each day, participated in group therapy, along with sessions for neurofeeeback and EMDR. Rod, the director of Suncrest, is one of the most generous and kind people I know. I went to the program lacking any personal support system (no family and just a few friends) with no way to pay Suncrest because I was student teaching and still in grad school. Rod took me in anyway and told me that I didn't need to pay a thing. He said once I got my first teaching job that we could reevaluate my ability to pay. Until then, I'd never been extended this kind of unconditional generosity and support. Suncrest truly cares about helping people heal and take back their lives. Rod was an angel to me in a dark time, and I hope that someday I can pay it forward to someone else. Thank you, Suncrest, for taking me in and helping me rebuild my life. I'm more grateful than words could ever say.

Suncrest helped me when I needed it most. I went into their outpatient program a suicidal wreck. In two short months I feel stable again and have a bunch of tools to help me confidently face the world and heal my trauma (while continuing therapy.) the out patient program offers many different activities, depending on what helps you most. They have massage, bio feedback, neural feedback, group therapy, individual sessions, yoga, and the list goes on. You can try everything out and see what works for you. Everyone I met was kind and genuine. I didn’t feel like they were just in it for the money. It’s a place of strength and support. I will never forget the amazing people I met in group who helped me on my journey. Also- Rod is pretty cool. He text me on my first day to see how it went and called me when he found out I was finishing up the program. That is definitely the extra mile!

I loved being at suncrest! I had an amazing team of therapists in the IOP program. Even though there were a lot of tough days and days they really pushed me it was all for the better and it did help a lot in the end. I’m not done with therapy yet but they helped me get to where I am now and that is a big difference thing. Thank you all so much your all amazing!!

For more than three years, my experience with Suncrest Counseling has been nothing but professional and positive. I continue to be impressed with the quality and range of therapies and programs they offer. Suncrest’s team of therapists, doctors and even office staff are not only some of the best, but they genuinely care. Their entire organization comes from a place of heartfelt integrity, professionalism and the highest ethical standards of care. Thank you for making a difference in my life.

You may think you are in a safe space but you are not. They kowtow to fear and rush to judgement. Stay away from this office!

This is an amazing counseling center with very kind compassionate professionals! Rod Jeppsen is outstanding in his field of psychology and understanding the human heart mind and spirit! We attended a Marriage workshop organized by a fabulous therapist; Debi Gilmore, who has also surpassed in her ability to teach and guide and touch hearts in a way nobody else has! We learned so much in how to get to the core emotional needs of our partner and learned tools to listen and be more romantic to increase more intimacy communication and understanding. Every couple needs to go to her workshop!

Life-changing. The vital thing I needed to go from being in UNI for suicide to leading a HEALTHY, happy life! I owe my life to this place and I truly believe that this is the #1 place to go for help or any sort of therapy (they have such a wide range) in Utah. I have recommended friends and family who will say the same. Thank you Suncrest!

I am in a position where I refer a lot of people to counseling. I fell into Suncrest's marketing trap and referred numerous patients to them. I was not impressed with with the services. Almost every individual I referred to them went through multiple counselors, due to high turnover, and were seeing therapists that had limited or no experience addressing their complex issues. I would avoid this place if possible.... Also, notice that all the positive reviews for this company were posted only a few days apart. Normally you see this when a company post their own reviews. I cannot confirm this but seems questionable to me...

The receptionist is nice but I can't say that for everybody. I'd go back though.

The office staff is very friendly. Always greets you with a smile. The therapist my daughter is seeing has gone above and beyond what she needed to do to help my daughter. I highly recommend Suncrest to my family and friends because of the great experience my daughter has had with them.
