Been coming here for 8 months for Depression/ Anxiety but also to talk about a specific problem- but has definitely exposed my past life entirely. Carly is so helpful and has great ways to help me cope with situations. I have to bring my toddler son every time and she has never had a problem with him- and the office have toys to keep them engaged and quiet. Sessions last only an hour and I understand they have other clients, but the frustrating thing is that there have been a few times at the end of the session, I feel I was just talking to a bartender and not getting anything figured out or what I should do. But it also I guess prepares me for my next session and is usually brought up in the beginning. I will continue to see Carly, she’s so down to earth and I’m grateful to know I am in a safe place.

I was brought up in a house where the men were expected to be tough, independent, traditional and emotionally "in control". My therapist has lovingly helped me to redefine that role of masculinity for myself. It is difficult to put into words just how greatly I've benefited from her counseling. I think the first thing I learned was that I can be open and willing to accept help – I can change. It has occurred to me that therapy, like working out, is something you have to be patient with and must work continually towards in order to stay fit. My experience here has been incredibly positive and influential. It's not always easy, but my therapist has given me the tools I've needed my whole life to become the person I should be. Life's a struggle, and I'm not there yet, but I'll get there! As for the space itself, it's immaculate and warm. I've always felt like I've come to the right place every time my appointment ends. It's a relief and realization of what to do next. I cannot recommend a more affirming and loving practice. There's always work to do, but you shouldn't go at it alone. Simple Modern has helped me help myself.

Heather is a great marriage counselor. She made sure she was understanding us and we never felt like we were "on the clock". And most importantly we never felt like we were being judged. She helped us come up with helpful resolutions and helped us know how how to keep them going after we were finished seeing her. Her location is easy to find and pretty comfortable. Even my husband like it. I thought her price was pretty reasonable for other marriage counselors we looked at, too.

Heather is fantastic. She's an amazing listener, she provides quality advice, she gives you strategies to manager your challenges. I've never met someone who can connect with such genuine care and compassion. She can also be tough, she pushes you to take responsibility for the things you can change and doesn't let you take on things that shouldn't be your problem. My life and relationship were significantly impacted in the most positive way possible.
