Renee at Life stone Counseling Center in Midvale excels in listening and then allowing the healing to begin. I can trust Renee to be what I need, when I need it. Sometimes, without knowing it, I need positive visualization, sometimes EMDR, and sometimes I just need someone to listen and then tell me what they hear I am saying . . . usually it is something good I have overlooked like, really accomplishing something. She reminds me that I am remarkable. I highly recommend Renee at Life Stone Counseling Centers. In addition, the phone and office staff are pleasant and easy to work with.

I recently brought my son to Lifestone because he was having anxiety issues that were causing mental and physical problems. I gave them a letter documenting all medicine he was taking for ADD and I included that I was aware he smoke weed (we are very against it) because I wanted them to know everything possible to help him with therapy. Well, they turned us in to child protective services. CPS found no problems with us (we were in horrible concern for our child) and told us what Lifestone did broke the law. This cause more anxiety for both my child and our family. I am sure they have some great therapist but the director/owner is the one that pursued this without ever meeting or talking to us (parents). It is pointless to get therapy if you are not honest with the therapist. A little freaked out and very disappointed and offended.

Don’t go here. They refused to waive the $100 cancellation fee when I tried to cancel my appointment today (first cancellation ever) even though I just had surgery and was not well enough to go. Doesn’t matter that I’ve diligently been to every appointment and that they have mistakenly overcharged me on my copays (I’ve yet to see the refund), there is no compassion. They keep your debit card on file to charge the cancellation fee. You’d think they would realize their terrible customer service just cost them all the appointments I had scheduled for the next several months that I subsequently cancelled but no. I think they should spend my $100 on a calculator.

The rooms for visits are also cozy and feel like a den in a home. There are no desks and the environment is low lit and they offer you a drink upon entering. I had gone once before. I made an appointment 2 1/2 weeks ahead of time and then found out I had to work both my jobs that day so there was no way I could make it. I asked if I could reschedule when I called (a few days prior to appointment) and the lady on the phone was going to cancel my appointment if I didn't say (again) that I only needed to reschedule. She wasn't very helpful and quite rude and told me that the next available day I could have an appointment would be beginning of July, over a MONTH in advance. I ended up just canceling my appointment and probably will not return.

As a therapist myself I went to this location for a training. I was overall very impressed with the feeling of this therapeutic center. They create space for adults as well as being very child friendly. You can't help but have a feeling of safety and warmth. As far as the therapists at this location I can't speak to their abilities but I can say each therapist is unique and different, it's important to find someone that fits YOU and your needs. EMDR which is a specialty of this center is a trauma based therapy which helps a person make connections between events, emotions, and the body. I have the personal belief EMDR is something everyone can benefit from and has personally changed my ability to have more freedom in my own world and perceptions.

After calling many therapy offices, I knew Life Stone was the one to go to once I talked to them. With asking a few questions over the phone, Kristina was able to recommend the best fitting therapist for both my son and I. She is very knowledgeable about each therapists specialities. Everyone in the office is cheerful, helpful and professional. I actually am excited to be coming here. Thanks Life Stone.

Was referred to lifestone by another therapist. The receptionist is very sweet but I feel scammed. I went a total of 8 times and each time we would talk and said we would do the eye movements next time so it could help with my PTSD. Next time came and nothing happened. The only advice I received was to count to ten. Which I find insulting since I could've talked to my wall to receive the same results. I had financial issues for a couple of months and couldn't go but instead of reaching out directly to me, the guy (therapist) reaches out to my work therapist and threatens to call to have my FLMA from my job removed since I am not coming in. I told him my situation but it left such a bad taste in my mouth that I never went back . Thank you for causing me so much anxiety due to that. I have proof that this happened by the way. Due to this experience I am now turned off by the idea of a therapist.. please avoid this place if you can

Went here a few times. Paid the invoice immediately when the counseling was done, now suddenly I get a bill for $60. Counselor was alright but this company is clearly after only one thing, money. I sent them a message more then 24 hours before the appointment but they clearly don't check those, then I called the morning of and let them know I wont be coming to the appointment later in the day. I asked her to verify I wasn't going to be charged anything extra and she said I am good. Now I get this bill for No reason. I paid all my bills immediately, this is a warrantless bill.

Life Stone has some amazing qualified therapists who can relate to the patients experiences and addictions and successfully provides a safe place to grow and share in order to have a purpose in life without drugs and alcohol. Having a support group with a domestic violence therapist has given me tools to take care of me and love me. DBT is another type of therapy that has given me ways to deal with PTS. Everyone at Life Stone cares and takes the time to help each person individually even through all of the group and individual sessions.

The female that i spoke with accomplished what she wanted by not allowing me to get my assessment done today. Congratulations to her. I mentioned along the conversation that i feel drug evaluations are a waste of my time, since my offense is marijuana related. I guess this is where she got in her feelings. It would be silly for me to get mad at her, when i can just go somewhere else. Good day everyone.

We took our 18-year-old son here to get counseling, our insurance provides 100% coverage for counseling and mental health. We verified that they accepted our insurance, and after several visits like $300 dollars’ worth, and NO NOTICE WHATSOEVER we were told they don't accept our insurance anymore. We received absolutely no invoice EVER, only a few phone calls. They sent my son to collection over $300 dollars!!!! I had to tell the collection agency that I received absolutely no invoice ever, and to this day still haven't received one. I called the billing department left message after message and no return answer to resolve the issue. fortunately for my son and life stone counseling center I'm paying the bill so that my son won't suffer any more than he already has dealing with the irresponsible folks at Life Stone!!!! I do not recommend anyone go there for any reason what so ever!!!!!

Called in to set up an appt. and was told to come in at 6pm only to find out thats when they closed. The female that i spoke with accomplished what she wanted by not allowing me to get my assessment done today. Congratulations to her. I mentioned along the conversation that i feel drug evaluations are a waste of my time, since my offense is marijuana related. I guess this is where she got in her feelings. It would be silly for me to get mad at her, when i can just go somewhere else. Good day everyone.

We took our 18-year-old son here to get counseling, our insurance provides 100% coverage for counseling and mental health. We verified that they accepted our insurance, and after several visits like $300 dollars’ worth, and NO NOTICE WHATSOEVER we were told they don't accept our insurance anymore. We received absolutely no invoice EVER, only a few phone calls. They sent my son to collection over $300 dollars!!!! I had to tell the collection agency that I received absolutely no invoice ever, and to this day still haven't received one. I called the billing department left message after message and no return answer to resolve the issue. fortunately for my son and life stone counseling center I'm paying the bill so that my son won't suffer any more than he already has dealing with the irresponsible folks at Life Stone!!!! I do not recommend anyone go there for any reason what so ever!!!!!
