I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one to see incredible results here. Jimmy was outstanding in his treatments for post trauma after a car accident. EMDR is so effective I feel like it sounds like some miracle pill but the results and first hand and solid, besides the science behind it. I initially visited Nancy at this location who was very kind and listened with a great heart. Any doubts that Deseret in the name might affect my treatment as having came from a very different place and background were dispelled immediately. The staff prioritizes nothing but great treatment. Of many similar places, the last things the services here could be described as is dry or judgemental.

EMDR is the way to go if you've experienced anxiety/trauma or if you have PTSD. If I never had witnessed this for myself, I never would've believed it would really work. But I'm here to tell you, it is amazing how this can help you get past traumatic experiences. I was in a really bad car accident and would have panic attacks every time I was in a car. The first time I came to see Jimmy, I had to drive there. I was in a panic by the time I was there my hands were shaking and I was in tears. I've been seeing Jimmy for the past few months now, and I'm happy to say, I've been able to drive without any major issues and I haven't had any panic attacks. I still have a long way to go but I'm so glad I was referred to this therapy and I'm excited to know that my panic attacks will no longer be in control over me.

Amazing experience. I struggle with Anxiety, and I had some pretty obvious triggers in my life. I had no idea how to handle them. So I decided to get some help. I was referred to Jimmy by my healthcare provider. I was skeptical that anybody could make me feel "normal" again. Jimmy told me I was experiencing PTSD, and suggested EMDR therapy. I typically never write reviews, let alone, I didn't believe in Social Work. I was referred and highly encouraged to meet with Jimmy Noorlander. I had three separate appointments for my PTSD symptoms, (which by the way, were all due to four non-accidents (being rear-ended) in a 20 year period, with the most recent being May 2017). Jimmy was able to diffuse and eliminate my panic attacks and fear of driving, watching other drivers texting and others stopped (in heavy traffic) within 1 foot or less from my rear bumper. He used a technique that for me, only required 3 sessions. Jimmy has an incredible knowledge of PTSD/trauma and what is required to diminish and eliminate, in my case, my real fears and anxiety. Jimmy is extremely professional, positive, kind, caring, and passionate in his work. I would highly recommend him for any issues you might be facing and or experiencing. As I’ve said before; there truly are no words to describe how amazing Jimmy is and what he’s done for me. I’ve tried medication, meditation, exercise, etc. and since a horrific accident from 2014, I’ve struggled with sometimes crippling anxiety and depression. Jimmy is an amazing therapist. The technique he used on me was EMDR therapy & I had great success with it. However, what really made me pull more towards Jimmy over other therapists I had been to in the past was how easy & personable he is to get along with. When I'm discussing personal issues with someone about my life, I want to feel like I'm talking to not just my therapist but a friend & that's exactly how he made me feel from the first session I had with him. Feeling that personal connection with him really allowed me to open up to him & dive right into to some very personal things & feelings that I normally would feel uncomfortable telling someone who I barely knew. That level of comfort & trust right off the start & also having him help me through some things that were very difficult to process on my own with his use of EMDR therapy was life changing. I was in a car accident last December and needed help to get better. I mentioned to my doctor that I was terrified to drive and always thought someone was going to hit me. I only drove if I had to, always took the back roads, started shaking just walking to my car and avoided being near any other cars. Sometimes I'd cry while I was driving. The doctor said it sounded like PTSD. I always thought that was something only soldiers in war had. My doctor said I could be helped with my problem. He recommended Jimmy Noorlander at Deseret Counseling. When I first met Jimmy I felt very comfortable and trusted him. I did the things he had me do and gradually I overcame my fears. I cried a lot during our sessions, but gradually that stopped and I felt very confident about driving. I didn't need to cry at all any more.
