Horrible facility. Supposed to help those most in need, but refused care to a friend because he had a balance owing on account, even tho at the time he registered he was told it wouldn't cost him a thing over what insurance paid. Uncaring and unprofessional staff -- These are the most desperate of patients, and to refuse treatment should be criminal !

Methadone and saboxone clinics for recovery from opiod addiction.

I am only giving 1 because I can’t leave a zero stars review. I scheduled time to come in after hours 2 days before and verified with 2 people. Originally told I could have a female therapist for my daughter, called a few hours before that a female wasn’t available. Then show up at the scheduled time for Jeff the therapist to be 30 minutes away because he didn’t know we were coming. Hands down worse place for mental health services! More of a headache than a help! Go somewhere else! I found another therapist who got us in same day! Save the headache... go somewhere else!!!

We can't even see them because they refuse to see patients outside of Davis County. They are 95% of the resources on my list for my area. I live one county over which is like 10 miles away if that. Bad way to do business. Would not recommend. Will be contacting my insurance company about this facility. *Update Called my private insurance provider who then called this facility and was told this was a misunderstanding. I use the same private insurance that is also contracted to do state insurance. With State insurance you have to stay within county. Great. So I call back and tell them I have private insurance thinking this would resolve and confusion. Nope. Read the same line a second time. We see Davis county residents. Horrible. No wonder you have such horrible reviews.

Wonderful staff. I LOVE my therapist Brett. And I loved my therapist before him who had a baby and chose to stay home. If you're interested in EMDR there are a group of therapists here that do that!

I thought it was going to be all good and they were going to help me but when I called In to get some help they just said "well do you want to talk to a crisis worker, I don't really know what to tell you to help you get through your withdrawals, or know what to tell you" and that was coming from the the nurse? Wait you're the nurse it's supposed to be helping me and you don't know what to do to help me out?

This place is hit or miss. Be aware that this is the psychiatric agency the state Medicare/Medicaid systems use. The counselors show their wear and tear from this. I have had absolutely inexcusable experiences here (my counselor would fall asleep when I was talking). But this place had saved my life a couple times. Basically, if you need help and you don't have insurance or a better option, this place is better than jail or the hospital. However, if you have the option or luxury, do some shopping around. Most of the good counselors here are booked into the end of time or aren't taking clients. For new employees it's trial by fire. I've seen some rise to the occasion, some get burned.

If I can leave 0 stars I would doctor didn't even show up to my appointment for my son took work off for nothing. They supposably left a message saying that they weren't able to make the appointment that I scheduled 2 weeks ago! Super disappointed!

Most unorganized clinic I've ever been to in my life. I told them I needed a therapist that specializes in children with ADHD. We went and met the therapist for an hour and at the end he said he wasnt accepting new patients and he tried to schedule us with another therapist! Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

They will bill you extremely late and not notify you of costs. I was told that I was fully paid up and paid my bill every time I went in only to be hit later with hundreds of dollars in services. I would not recommend going there as they will not be honest with you

Honestly the worst part about this place is the front desk "customer service" I am kind of having a crisis and trying to reach my doctor and they send me to everyone else except my doctor! I love my doctor but i seriously dread having to call in because the front desk really do no do much to help. Bare minimum! Thanks for your help

The people here only care about your money. The staff is full of artificial personalities and clerks that have no regard for your well being, just collecting a payment. It has been over a year since my last appointment and I am still receiving bills in the mail after having an office administrator tell me my account had been paid in full after my last appointment.

I've been using dbh for well over a decade. It is true that they are after your money and they have fake attitudes and don't care. From my experience this is the case with all of Davis Hospital. There seems to be a high turnover rate for employees. Maybe it has something to do with management. I am now under commitment to them and forced to use their services for another 6 months. 10 month update: I was informed I am no longer under commitment against my will, but will add that while I was for about 12 to 18 months they had the police come to my home, get me out of bed and take me to the hospital to administer mind dulling and subjectiveness inducing medications and stay there for weeks against my will. They did this at least 4 times. I live with my mother, who is 74. She is a very gullible and subjective person. DBH people (and the Layton police) have used psychological tactics (like hypnosis) to manipulate my mother and have me committed. They have also used her as a lever to ban me from my home. They have her convinced that I am handicapped and crazy and feed her fears. I really want to take legal action against these sick maggots.

Unfortunately, I have to say that we did not have a good experience here. The first appointment with their mental health services was good, however, the second appointment, the therapist was very late and no explanation was given. I called to talk to the therapist same day but it was 4:30 pm and they told me that it was almost time to close so they will transfer to the voicemail however what I got was a hang up. I called back on Monday (today) and I did talk to the therapist which she was rude about the incident, she tried to justify what happened however, her response did not sound genuine. She sound upset instead of apologetic. We are switching therapist :( or find better service somewhere else...

I tried for over a month to get an appointment. No one answers phone no matter what time of day, and when they do pick up you are re- directed to voicemail where people NEVER call you back. I feel jerked around by this company and beyond frustrated. If they cannot mange making a simple appointment I can't begin to imagine the incompetence involved with actually having a doctor in that place.

This is the most important review you will read. As you read this keep in mind I went here on my own for help. This was a choice. Now, knowing that, read and learn. The auxiliary staff is amazing. The councelors are amazing. This program could change your life... as long as you stay away from Dr. Lang. He took over my medications. He had me on alot of them. My counselor had discussed with me her diagnosis relating to depression. Dr Lang never once mentioned her opinion. I went to this facility for a year. Never once did he discuss the councelors assessment of me. I was on medication that made me worse. One gave me a seizure. By the time I quit going I felt and was sooo sick. The final straw was going in for an appt 2 weeks after my father died. In all my life I have never been treated so appallingly!! My father had just died and this bastard starts pulling out things from counseling sessions from months before and making accusations that were so off base and out of line. No concern about my well being after a huge life trauma. Not one word of condolence. Lots of condemnation. I had stopped taking a couple of his prescriptions cold turkey as I felt like I was getting worse not better. Perhaps this pissed him off enough to treat me like garbage, which I didn't deserve at all. And especially considering the fact I just sat with my father while he took his last breath and went through his memorial service. Perhaps the "doctor" should have read a note about my DIAGNOSIS from the counselor. He only had interest in cherry picking anything on the negative side. He never once gave me encouragement. Anyone else in the facility will always give you encouragement and they will be kind and understanding. While I was sitting there listening to Dr Heartless make false accusations( using old notes as though it happened a few weeks ago) knowing I was not in the wrong here and he was waaayyy out of line.... I decided "when I walk out this door I am never coming back. He had no right to treat me this way!" He had sent me out the door with prescriptions. I never filled them. I immediately quit taking everything he prescribed. I was going through massive grief and deep depression, but I never took another pill from his scripts. I went home and through out every pill I had left from him. I went to my primary care provider. Told her what my councelor had diagnosed. She prescribed me ONE medication that replaced about 4 or 5 of his combo. I was feeling the effects after just 3 days on the new med. It was like flipping a switch how fast I felt better and my life became better. I have just faced a shoulder surgery and facing 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. I have another one or two surgeries still to come, all to take place over 10 to 12 months. Thanks to my primary care provider I am facing this with a smile and a positive upbeat Outlook. I am not kidding when I say that or say that if I had stayed under the care of Dr. Lang, there is a good chance I would not be here today. You can trust pretty much everyone at DBH, just see any other Dr you can for the medical part. Watch for their standard reply to appear. As if filing a complaint will erase the pain and suffering Dr Lang caused. As if a complaint can make Dr Lang apologize to me, which he probably owes lots of apologies to people.

I wish negative numbers were possible. Awhile ago, a family member was in need of help. We called and were told because we had insurance they could not help us or refer us. Hope things have changed or are changing for the positive.

They treat people very cliche. They also use nearly all A.A. tactics. You don't have to pay to hear what they have to teach you. I feel like I was treated as a number not a person. I would also like to add that I was a self admit, quit drinking on my own and it took them a month to get me medication for it. If I were to relapse it would have been very likely to happen during that time. I feel they have too much clientel from the court system to treat individuals trying to better themselves.

I have never dealt with a more unorganized and incompetent group of people in my life!!! It took over a week of being passed around from department to department to get an appointment set up, because they don't just transfer calls, they have to email each other! Then they would NOT listen to me about my coverage. I found another office to go with and just canceled my appointment.

My child had behavior issues and we were new to the area. 15minutes after returning home CPS was at our house demanding a private interview with my child. I didn't think too much of it because I hadn't done anything wrong. So we continued using them for years. I later found that their computer system is directly linked to CPS. If you need files for court or records they cost 50 cents per piece of paper. And they can censer the files however they want. They were frequently late, cancelled, or called to remind me of appointments that were not made. After 4 years of interation my child only became worse. I later tried a child psychiatrist miles away in the city. My child was on meds for 3 weeks and was all but cured. DBH in my opinion is a dangerous fraud utilizing systems stuck in the past. If you want to be the result of cps investigations because of tantrums try them out otherwise just go out of your way, pay a little more, and find yourself a legitimate child psychiatrist. They will get one star for 'sticking with my child'. As not many other people have been able to do that

I am part of the mental health program that davis county provides, in this program if you mess up you can get put back in jail and no matter how hard you try to rehabilitate yourself if one person from here says something to the judge, literally anything. he will bring you one step closer to kicking you off the program. every time i come here i see a therapist. i talk to the therapist about what is going on in my life and by disability. the therapist cannot accept that i am uncomfortable with talking about my disabilities and would rather go at my own pace with it. he has threatened to tell the judge that i am refusing to cooperate and that if i keep it up i will end up in prison. im trying my hardest to get my life on track and the therapists here do not help. if i tell them anything then the judge will hear about it. hippa is supposed to protect me from this as it is not illegal for what i did. it is just simply frowned upon. which is just being around someone before they got arrested and the person who was arrested is actually innocent. innocent until proven guilty is not something that registers with these people. i fear for my life and my saftey and freedom when i visit this therapist.
