We've been with Aspen Counseling for 6 months and I have been very impressed with the level of care and respect from our counselor. We see Ryan for child therapy and the growth I have seen has been tremendous! I was really nervous to send my child to therapy but being able to meet Ryan before we started therapy sessions helped calm my nerves. I was able to meet Ryan and decide along with my son if he felt comfortable talking to him. I was very relieved after that first initial visit. Over the months I've seen so much growth as Ryan has helped by giving both me and my son ideas and tools on how to navigate through some very tough times. I have been very appreciative of all the care he has provided to us!

I had Kaecee as my therapist over a year ago and I wanted to walk out on my last session because it was that bad, she told me that I was never going to get away from an ex boyfriend, also told me I was a failure and that I wasn’t really trying, for a codependent person that’s hard to hear that and it makes you want to be with that person and makes you think why am I even trying then. I had other appointments and I cancelled them and never came back. A therapist is one that should listen and give skills to their patients not down grade them.

I cannot recommend this place more highly! It has helped my family so much. My two boys and I worked with the therapists Tim, Ryan, and Kenzie. All three were amazing. Ryan worked with my youngest who was only 7. He made my son feel really safe by talking while spending some time playing. They would make goals to work toward & it really helped my son’s confidence. Ryan took the time to explain things to me so I could understand how to best help my son. Tim helped my pre-teenage son. He helped him understand that his emotions after our experience are normal & how to respond in healthy ways. It made a huge difference. My son is so much happier & is more willing to discuss his feelings with us. He would even tell us when he acted out inappropiately that he was sorry & would tell us how he was feeling. This was HUGE for him! I worked with Kenzi and she was so kind and patient with me. I never felt any judgement. I chose this office because it was a close drive to our house, but it’s so great it’s worthy of a commute to go here. We all are still working through issues, but I know we are at the right place.

The office managers are super helpful and accommodating. They are great about about communicating well in advance if there are any scheduling conflicts (honestly I can think of just two in 3 years), and they are always willing to work with my scheduling needs as well. Tom is a fantastic counselor - I recommend him to everyone I know. It's not just a job for him; he really invests in your well - being. This is the only counseling center I've returned to on a regular basis in 15 years. Considering they are voted #1 in a Utah County year after year, I doubt you could go wrong with any counselor. Highly recommend.
