I dont understand these bad reviews! I owe Dr. O so much, he has helped me pull myself out of the gutter and maintain a healthy life style. Unlike most Dr.s I have used, he went above and beyond to help me when I had nothing. I cant begin to explain how much this man and his staff have done for me. THANK YOU MIND MATTERS!!!!!

I currently go to the Fort Worth location and I couldn't have better things to say about Dr. Adebogun. He has attended to me in the most kind manner while ensuring that my medications are working harmoniously. He does regular bloodwork and is always attentive of where my levels are at. On top of the medication and perfect care, he ensures that I'm taking care of the side effects as well. He's very easy to open up to! Being honest with your provider is the best way to get the best care and he makes that possible. He responds to messages as quickly as he can and will schedule an emergency visit if needed. I couldn't ask for a better physiatrist.

I hate to see all these bad reviews, this is the best Psychiatrist I have found in the area. After taking my wife to 5 different providers all of whom made her worse and could care less Dr. A has helped her tremendously. I also go to the nurse practitioner myself, Dr. A and the staff are caring and very knowledgeable.

What can I say Mind Matters has been a life changer for me. For years I struggled with finding the right Psychiatrist. Then I went to Mind Matters. Dr.Oladele Adebogun I cant praise this man this Doctor enough. He helped me with my depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADD, and my mood disorder. He is the most intelligent doctor when it comes to medication in psychiatry. Even when my medicine stopped helping he recommended TMS therapy which permanently changed my life for the better. My depression anxiety and negative moods were suddenly gone. Not only did he save my life but he also saved my sisters who struggles with Schizophrenia. His staff and all employees are amazing people when I go to my appointments it’s like seeing family. I’m so grateful to all of them.

This place is excellent. Very nice staff and did not have to wait very long to be seen. Dr. A was a great listener and explained in detail what medications would help and how they would help with what I was being seen for and was accepting of my input on what has worked for me in the past. I've seen a few other reviews that weren't very favorable but I can attest to having a great experience and would recommend this to anyone on the fence about where to go for treatment.

I would recommend Mind Matters Psychiatry to anyone. Dr. Adebogun is both caring and thorough in his approach in finding the right medicine combination for your condition. He and the rest of the staff made my transition from another office to Mind Matters much easier than I expected. Since I started seeing Dr. Adebogun we have found the medication combination that has been the most effective treatment for my disorder. Every appointment he carefully goes over each medication I am on, and this is important for people taking multiple medications or/and people who have overlapping psychiatric disorders. Additionally, Dr. Adebogun is well-informed on vitamins and other approaches than medicine or other approaches used along with medication. Finding this doctor and this office was a true blessing.

Dr. Adebegun is excellent in what he does. very good in getting the history of his patients. He has Excellenct understanding of how medications work and how to overcome major side effects. he will wirk very well with you. I highly recommend him.

The office staff, especially Ashley, are the most rude and unhelpful people I have ever dealt with before. The A.D.D. med I was prescribed was great, but over $200 a month. Due to financial hardships, I asked if I could get a substitute that would be cheaper. What was prescribed for me is so new that my pharmacy (Walgreens) told me they do not have a way to order it at this time. After 5 days of attempts to reach someone in the office with no return calls, I finally was able to speak to Ashley. I was told I didn't need to be switching back and forth and I can wait until it comes in. Obviously I was not going to be able to switch to the cheaper medication because my pharmacy can not even get the new drug.. she told me I had to wait until they were able to order it. So, basically she wants me to go weeks or months until the pharmacy has access to order it, because she didn't feel like doing her job and call in a refill for the original prescription. Every person I spoke to there, including the receptionist when you walk in, are very unhelpful and uncaring. Worst experience with a physician's office I have ever had. I will never go back or recommend anyone go here!

I went here once. The "psychiatrist" was a waste of my time. Paid about $200 for the visit. I believe they took a drug test from me (not sure why). Now, I see an insurance claim for $11,502 for a lab that does drug testing. If these two are connected, I will be seeking legal action on both places for trying to rip people off. Update: I found this place did send a urine sample to Southwest Labs. Also found Southwest Labs came up on a site about Insurance fraud. This doctor's office probably gets a kickback from the lab after they've ran up the insurance. Don't trust this place or Southwest Laboratory, LLC. They give you a mandatory drug test so they can make money from either patients or insurance companies. Calling AETNA to report this info and filing with the appropriate complaint bureau.

Dr. Adebogun is amazing! He has helped me so much for many years now. He is my number 1 choice in psychiatrists! I love him because he is only an email away and will squeeze me in any time I need to be seen. He always makes sure I have my medications filled.

I have had nothing but a good experience at this location. I do not accept change well and they have been very comforting. They have talked to me every step of the way. I have heard more than once. "I am just a passanger and you are driving" They want to work WITH you and not control you. Office staff has also been very nice and friendly. They have answered the phone every time I have called within a few rings. There is a separate portal you can talk to Dr. A through if you need him or assistance. Each time they have responded to me and been very quickly to take care of my needs or answer my questions. No complaints from me!

A R.

Staff is always friendly and welcoming. They take care of my needs with ease! Please give them a visit!

I spent nearly three years with this practice. I had a lovely nurse practitioner who legitimately tried to help me and who helped me crate a great treatment plan that effectively treated my ADHD, PTSD and depression. She suddenly disappeared from the practice and my case was taken up by the psychiatrist, Dr. Adebogun. He immediately changed my treatment plan and obviously did not read my chart because he prescribed medications that he would have known not to otherwise. When I tried to communicate with him, he would talk over me and get visibly irritated and agitated. When I had some problems that required additional care, he insisted I needed to admit myself to a hospital. I went to see my psychologist to discuss his recommendations. When she called him, he apparently didn't like it. He told me to do what he said to do, despite my psychologist who has known my family and I for ten years, assuring me that I wasn't wrong in thinking I just needed a little extra help.He gave me an ultimatum: I must do what he says whether I, my psychologist or my family likes it or not or he will "terminate treatment." He said that since I had said I was "A little confused" about why he failed to respond to a refill request that I was obviously ill. I was simply being polite about the fact that he dropped the ball. TLDR: Issues ultimatums. Doesn't read charts. Talks over patients. Fails to refill promptly. Gets angry and malicious when crossed. Understaffed. Overpriced.

Suren Xavier

Dr. Adebogun is the best. He has the knowledge and expertise in his field. He has literally helped me get through high school, by perscribing Me the correct medications for over 4 years now! I highly recommend Mind Matters!

bitter. I have listened to this advice, and he gave me medication but i get medication that was expected to be renewed 15 days ago. I went to CVS and they have messaged me multiple times and i have called mind matters office over a week without a response. CVS has faxed them and i have called them over 2 dozen times on different times to check if the phone lines... and whats worse they closed thursday/friday without any explanation... THIS OFFICE IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT I NEVER ONCE WAS ABLE TO REACH THEM BY PHONE! IN THE MONTH AND A HALF I'VE CALLED THEM!! NEVER AGAIN.

Maegan Corona

Not entirely sure how so many people dislike this place. I understand that in the medical field (psychiatry in particular) not every place is a right fit for everyone. However, I truly love this clinic. Their office staff could be more friendly but Matthew is amazing. He’s listened to me and the things I want but also has given me realistic expectations. He’s always fast to respond to portal messages. I also see Taylor. She’s simply amazing. I really feel like this clinic is such a great fit for me and I’ve had nothing but great experiences. I’m glad I didn’t let the reviews detour me because this place has been life changing.

"Wear confidence, it is the height of Fashion" May You Be Happy! May You Be Healthy! May You Be Peaceful! May You Be Protected Always! "When you hate someone, you think about him a lot. He becomes a long-term tenant of the heart. Keep in your heart only those who love you." Do not let people’s opinions of you mold your destiny. Let unhappy people have their unhappy thoughts. Continue on your path courageously. if we could just slow down and pay attention to each other. When trust is shattered, when a hope is dashed, when a love one leaves you, before doing anything, pause your life and rest. Simple messages speak directly to the anxieties that have become part of modern life and remind us of the strength and joy that come from slowing down.

Alex Udabor

The location is great, the environment is peaceful and inviting, and the staff are super friendly. The doctor is very compassionate, empathetic, passionate, and definitely knows his stuff. Would very highly recommend.

Michael Talamantes

Fairly well, the people there are timid, not rude. The only issue I have is the scheduling methods, I've been calling their offices every day for a week now and no one is picking up or the doctor isn't there to talk. If they could get that straightened up, I'd give it 4 stars.

Katherine Mastropiero

Robert Owens

Not only is the front office not friendly. The doctor is extremely unwilling to listen to the patients needs. I cant say that for everyone there. Josee is very nice and caring. I could only hope that everyone cared as much as her, but they don't. This office cares about $$$$$, every piece of furniture in there is extremely nice wish I could say that for the total care.

Craig Kalman

Dr. A is great. He is very easy to talk to and is very helpful and knowledgeable. The problem is with the staff and service at the office. I've been there in the past for a few years. The staff over the course of a few years can appear very uncaring and slow to move on anything. No sense of urgency or no customer service skills. The review about the staff are accurate. No question. But the best part of that office is Dr. A. He is great. It's a shame that his staff is so weak and doesn't know how to run the office. Maybe training is in order?

John Davis

They are very attentive to your needs. You can even schedule appointments on Saturday if you can’t go during the week. They know what they’re doing and they are very convenient.

Staff doesn't answer phones, ever, unless you repeatedly call then maybe. Cancelled an appointment more than 24 ahead of time and office manager gave me only 1 warning, cancel again & won't be seen. Overcharged my copay amount. When I called to speak with BREE, she informed me the insurance was verify 2 days before appointment. Called insurance to confirm, and BREE provided wrong information including a reference # for the call. Insurance told me last time insurance verified was 8/9/17, aside from it being verified today from BREE. So, in order to recoup my overpayed copayment, I have to wait 30days. Why are most doctor office seem to be like this more and more? Don't answer phones, argue and lie about inaccurate information and no apology?

J Williams-

Went, loved it but had to end it today. I love Brittany Haymond but I Had to wait almost 2 weeks for a letter from her. She prob forgot and I get that so no issues there because I was able to Talk to the office mgr. she got it together for me same day and said it would be ready in a few mins if I wanted to run by to get it... went there the next business day and it wasn’t ready. Had to wait for it to be printed and had to wait for something else dealing with signing up for the therapist. I had my 4 year old with me and he had to use the restroom.(this is where my “quick” run in went wrong). I Went to ask the receptionist how much longer it would be because I needed to take him to the potty. She threw her hands up at me and told me to calm down cuz she’s “getting to it”. This was the second incident. The first was her collecting money when I told her I met my deductible and advised her to call my insurance... I tried to arrange going to a different location just to avoid this receptionist but the flower mound location is too far from where I live so I cancelled all my appts and will seek help elsewhere.

McKenna Hyde

The building itself is clean & has art in the lobby that is pleasing to the eye. The staff here is great & they genuinely want to help you get the care that you need. As someone who has invested their time in finding the proper care, I can say that this place is worth it. Well done!

Farag Salib

Dr. Adebegun is obviously gifted docotor. He has very attentive and caring staff as well! DR. Adebegun is truly TALENTED in what he does. I wok in medical field as well and I know how to come up with unbiased assessment. I truly and highly RECOMMEND HIM.

Ash Lee

They kept pushing one drug that my insurance would never approve, they kept asking me to drive over an hour to get samples till it did get approved (3 months and counting). They put me on a drug that made me physically sick, so basically I was without meds and became sducidal. I call in a panic begging them to suggest me a place to go... and they told me to “send a message through the portal”. I literally just told them I wanted to kill myself. Thankfully I called Mesa Springs ( which I found on my own) and they talked me down and told me to come in. Best choice I ever made. Mind Matters isn’t helpful to YOUR needs at all!!!

Cleaning Mavericks

My son has autism, his medication needs to be adjusted, he's physically attacking me. He's been seeing someone here for years. this is how my phone call went with them: "Hi, I need to try to get a last minute appointment, we need to talk about changing medication, my son is violent, he had to be physically restrained, this just happened. When can you get us in?" "is he in a crisis?" " well, not really, I mean we're safe, his room is safe, but he needs his medication changed, like now, so I guess yes." "well we can't see him if he's in a crisis, you'll need to go to the ER" THANKS! No ER doctor or on call pediatric psychiatrist would understand my kid as well as the doctors who have been seeing him for years..... good to know that a psychiatrist doesnt help if you're in crisis. We'll be finding a new psychiatrist.

Worst office and the office manager is useless. I called 5 tines and left a message for a call and she doesn’t care to call back. Everyone is rude and the doctor doesn’t listen to you. I wouldn’t go back just knowing how little you mean to this office. If the manager could at least respect you enough to give you a call back it could help. This is the worst office ever!

Taylor Bishop

This place has completely changed my life. I was in a absolutely horrible place when I had my first visit, severe anxiety, huge amounts of depression and completely overwhelmed by my adhd and my inability to manage it...I was completely out of control and I was really ready to just give up because I couldn’t handle it on my own any longer. Dr.A changed my whole life and view on my life. He genuinely CARES ABOUT HIS PATIENTS, he’s extremely PASSIONATE about what he does and you can feel it when you walk in. Do you know how hard it is to find a doctor especially a psychiatrist that truly cares about you! He doesn’t just throw prescriptions at you and he will be HONEST with you, if he believes a medication is dangerous he will be straight forward with you and tell you no. He does not want his patients to become dependent and or result in addiction from prescription drugs and he’s so very careful about what he prescribes you, that’s a blessing to have a doctor that really makes sure he gives you what is right for YOU! It’s so easy to be honest with him if something isn’t right or working like it used to and finds a safe healthy way to figure out the perfect medication or combination of medications for you and gives you other ways to work on your problems aside from medication because it’s more than just taking medication to fix a problem. He is highly highly talented, extremely intelligent and a genuinely wonderful person and it’s obviously from the first time you meet him. He listens to you and you can tell he’s really listening and taking in every single word you say. And on a side note he also has awesome style!! His glasses are fabulous, I noticed them the first time I came in. In conclusion with his help my entire life and perspective on everything has changed, I have passion again and I’m HAPPY! Before coming to Mind Matters I couldn’t even tell you the last time I truly felt real happiness, and it’s all because of this amazing place. I couldn’t thank him enough for all he’s done for me. I hope reading this leads others struggling in to Mind Matters. I can promise you these people will transform your life and you will so thankful you chose this practice.

Cheryl Nielsen

I like Dr. A, the staff is okay. My complaint is that whenever I have an appointment, 90% of the time I have wait 1hour or more to see the doctor for 5 minutes just to get the same prescriptions I have been on for a year now. Other than that I really like this place.

Alaysia Tillerson

Been with this place for years! Def would recommend for anyone!

Kathleen Gallagher

I've been going to mind matters for years and it is truly an outstanding place. Since I've been going there I've recommended three of my family members and they all love it.My daughter who also goes to my matters mentioned it in her College psychology class and a number of other students were like yeah I go there too it's really great. Trying to survive in this complicated world is very difficult and I just thank God I found a safe haven like mind matters

Reagan Kroger

Doctor Adebogun is incredible and has helped me a lot would recommend to anyone

It was my first time at this place and the receptionist was extremely rude to me. Did not feel welcomed as a first guest at all. I did not pursue my appointment and I would not suggest going here.

Everyone there was unfriendly, Especially Dr Adebogun. My first visit was good with Dr Alvin, He spent 45 minutes with me asking a lot of questions and seemed somewhat involved in the conversation. I was dealing with a lot of depression but was trying to give me all these different meds if know aren't effective for me personally. I'm 35 years old and I know what medications work for me. He did prescribe me my anti-anxiety medication but at a lot lower dose. A week later I was so depressed and in pain I took a lethal dose of my seizure med trying to kill myself. I was admitted to ICU at JPS hospital then transferred to a Mental Health Facility. They managed to stabilize me by the time I was discharged. I felt great. I returned to MM and saw Dr Adebogun and he was very rude, didn't listen, and was trying to get me out the door as fast as possible. I started to argue with him because he would not prescribe my anti-anxiety medication, which I can die from coming off cold turkey due to seizures and convulsions. He said he'd been talking to me for 45 minutes when I looked at my watch it had been 10 minutes. I also asked for a refund since he didn't help me at all and didn't write a single prescription. He Laughed at me and said no. I guess he needs the money to buy 32 inch computer monitors and a nice couch that he won't let you sit in. I would never recommend Mind Matters to anyone, especially the head Dr, Adebogun.

Ariel Olson

I have read a lot of bad reviews and have to say that you need to remember that this is a Medical practice. You have to trust and follow the plan they set for you. They have a great staff and Psychiatrist trained at Meninger Clinic, and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. A and his staff truly care about their clients and their care.

Elisha Ononye

There are a few words that can describe my visit to mind matters, serene, comfortable and genuine. The staff were friendly and welcoming, everything down to the furniture made me feel at home, even more so Dr. A who is a very compassionate man and cares very much for his patients. He was attentive, patient and encouraging. I couldn't be happier to have visited Mind Matters!

Sarah Murray

I have been seeing Dr. Adebogun for years. He is by far the best doctor for mental illness. He honestly cares and will help you achieve a stable mindset. He watches all your medications closely and answers any questions you may have about them. If you are looking for help with your mental illness and not to receive unneeded medications you should give this doctor a try. The staff is very friendly and always glad to help.

Stephen Coleman

Have nothing but GREAT results from the treatments and counseling I've received. Staff is terrific and have made me feel like their only priority when I'm in the office.

Erica Riley

Wow! Amazing front desk staff. Very professional. Dr A. is exceptional at pyschiatry. Less depressed just speaking to him. He LISTENS. Looking forward to my next appointment. Thank you, Mind Matters.

Erik Peterson

The worst care I have every received. The office manager is a complete joke and is incapable of doing her job. Do not use this doctor or his gaggle of idiot

Haritha Yalamanchili

We had our initial appointment in late August with Dr. A and was asked to schedule a followup counseling appointment. At the time of the appointment, I was told that the counselor would call me. It's been over a month, called twice, left voice messages. No response. The staff is completely unresponsive and uncaring with no concern for the patient. They act helpless saying they could do nothing. It is strange that they care to make this place fancy with such low quality staff and a counselor with no basic integrity to at least return phone call and notify of their unavailability.

Competency. Consistency. Compliance. I did not get adequate care because of a lack of these three things. I have been looking for a new provider for a few months now. My name is Garrett. I am a person. I was a patient. I was let down. Competency: The scheduling at this office is hard to work with. Appointments ran 30min-1 1/2 hours late. Time with Dr. A was often rushed, curt, and my medications were poorly managed. After expressing I could not afford or wanted to try expensive brand-name medications (that even with manufacture coupons would still be expensive), tried ancient generic medications (Doxepin, a suboptimal medication from the 1950s), augmenting medications that either did nothing or made things worse, I was told to try a suspicious machine that used electromagnetic pulses. A nurse will happily write you a script for Klonopin and send you on your way but that is a grave sacrifice to in-depth care. Seeing Dr. A meant missing half a day of work, skipping a class, or cancelling so many other engagements. It was stressful looking at a calendar to get help. Consistency: I was tossed around by three therapist and then a nurse came along when their office moved from Forums to the 2499 office. I felt let down that my first therapist left with no referral for a new therapist. The group therapy was full of teenagers and they could not make a referral for adults. My second therapist, wife of Dr. A, now only works the front office and we had some awkward sessions. They were the most beneficial, but she dismissed me for a clerical job. The third therapist was incredibly young and inexperienced. Her secession rambled on with little direction. I had better therapy talking to a coworkers or a bartender. The nurse is sweet but would not be help in any deep seated problem I wont discuss on the internet. The front staff changed often and I lost confidence in any therapist they could offer. Compliance: What makes me the most bitter and should concern every parent or patient was the lack of compliance. Healthcare should strive to prevent illness, treat it, and maintain health. Healthcare needs to make sure the patient is compliant if it is apparent the patent's life is in danger. I did not receive this. I can only assume that they assume I have moved to a different office or I am well or that I am doctor shopping (but, hey, who cares? They dont seem to check on these things). I have not gotten any follow-up calls about my well being, if my medication is being taken correctly, and if anything new has happened. I cannot blame them for my behavior, but knowing my health condition they are to blame for a poor patient relationship with me. If they had asked, I would have expressed my condition is worse. That I am in pain. That I feel like it would fall on deaf ears. Great place if you want a prescription for Vyvanse (you just need to fill out a short ADHD survey and now I struggle to function without it. Too bad appointments are hard to make here for refills) or a trendy brand name medication if you can afford it. Will not prescribe Lunesta or Ambien because the fear of sleep-walking or etc. is too great. Will prescribe larger quantities of your daytime benzodiazepine for you to take at night (oops, tolerance build up. Too bad I cant afford Belsomra or Silenor). Offers a cool, but expensive, gene-makeup lab test you can do that could help them throw more medication at you. Treatment is predictable - go through all the SSRIs or anti-psychotics until one sticks (guess what, medications like gabapentin are being tested for bi-polar. If you can prescribe Doxepin for off-label use for insomnia then why not something that isnt over 50 years old?). If all else fails you can sit in a stylish dental chair and have pulses beamed into your head. Its like acupuncture, but unlike acupuncture it doesnt do much. I was quiet about this issue for too long. I only now had the courage to talk about it today. You are your strongest advocate. You, not a doctor alone, are the strongest advocate for your child. Think: the 3 C's.

Maryanne Megaly

BY FAR THE BEST CARING DOCTOR AND HUMAN BEING I have ever met in this industry. For the first time in years I felt I am in a good hands. His history taking is great. He pays great attention to your health details. Dr Adebegun is very talented and has a great sense of humor. He always listen to my symptoms, complaints and try to figure out the best medical approach. BIG SHOUT TO HIM.

Ashley Napoli

I had always gone to a PCP for my anxiety & depression. Then... I found Dr. A. BEST CHANGE EVER. I highly reccomend Mind Matters!

Tess Cane

Dr.A is nice. Really good psychiatrist

Talina Brown

All I have is good things to say about mindmatters. Since I’ve been coming here, I’ve only had outstanding service from Dr. Adebogun and his team. Dr. A is phenomenal in his line of work especially when it comes to his patients. My first appointment with him, he was very understanding of me, he helped me find the right medication that my insurance would cover and while doing so, was patient with me. Dr. A knows what he’s doing and that makes me feel relaxed and at ease. I highly recommend him.

Katie De Nicola

The audacity of your employees is appalling to me. The way that you treat your patients is absolutely disgusting. You are dealing with people’s mental health and treating it as if it’s all a joke to you. Not only will I be in contact with the Better Business Bureau in regards to this issue, but my attorneys will be in contact with your office.

Kristen Hallinan

Front desk staff is very rude and won't answer questions about the practice. We are new in town and I stopped in to find a provider for my son. Girl in front said you can go find our information online with an unfriendly attitude. I think we are dodging a bullet by finding another practice.

Kelli Owen

Great doctor and great staff. They don’t judge you or make fun like a lot of doctor offices do. They also get back to you and don’t ignore you. Counseling is great too. I have been going here now since 2016. I am much better than I was in 2016! This doctor is very understanding and real. The name of the office is true too. MIND DOES MATTER!
