I don't know who owns this center but I been waiting to get an appointment for the last 2 months and they don't want because they say that my child has a primary insurance on his file. But they are not active anymore. They don't want to try to summit to file the claim to the Medicaid And they dont want to answer the phone because they know whose calling them. Because they dont want to deal with you anymore. They are avoiding services to my child.

My experience at the Austin Psychological and Testing Center was a great one. My child's third grade teacher suggested that I have her tested for ADHD. I checked with United Healthcare and this center was recommended. (I highly recommend you check with your insurance provider regarding upfront fees and in network providers for testing services first). I was happy to have found this center. The therapists tested my daughter for approximately 4 hours and made her feel very comfortable and even allowed her to get a quick snack/water break. They spoke with her and they spoke with me during the testing day. My daughter's test results were emailed to me roughly 4 weeks after the test and they were comprehensive and explained a lot. You may have to call to verify the test results were emailed to you; somehow the test results ended up in my spam. Dr. Ahr and her staff explained ADHD testing and diagnosis in a proactive, manageable way. She even recommended specific ADHD parenting coaches for me that were local to the area. I asked a lot of questions and didn't feel rushed in our followup meeting. The front desk was clear about payment terms and what they would bill me and my insurance before services was rendered (please always ask about that too :) ) My review for this facility and its staff is a 4.5. I would give it a 5, but it took me a minute to finding parking (as I was running late, of course :)).

It's been around a month and I haven't so much as a even had a confirmation of my inquiry/request being received. I've tried calling, emailing, etc- Unfortunately, it seems the next step in my wellness is to have an assessment done and my provider told me to go here. You all are interfering with people's lives by your silence and grandiose dismissal

They kept my husband here for 5 hours of testing without giving him any indication that it would take that long; he had to call his work and tell them he couldn’t come back for the day. They could have mentioned this when he made the appointment or at least when he checked in, but I guess they think it’s okay to hold people hostage without anything to eat or drink for 3/4 of a business day. At the end of his visit, the front desk staff casually told him that our insurance might not cover the testing and that we could owe over $800. Again, this is something that would have been helpful to hear when he made the appointment or when he checked in. They said he would get his results in 2-3 weeks. Today, more than 4 weeks since his testing date, he called for an update. They told him that he did, in fact, owe the $800+ they discussed and that they “don’t release results without payment.” So I guess they were never going to call and tell us that? They held my husband hostage for testing, so I guess it should be no surprise at all that they’re holding his results hostage, too. Save yourself the trouble and run far away from this train wreck of a business. It’s unethical and predatory.

The doctors and therapists are great. The front office. Not so much. We had testing march 21. We've been waiting for results and desperate to get help for my young grand daughter. The office never contacted us that we were missing paperwork after a month. Our dr called about results. May 19. Oh. We didn't finish two pages. We got them. Did them. Faxed the next day. Nothing. For another two weeks. I called. The front office sAid; oh. Well you should have called us! So I had her email me; I did it online. Emailed it right back!!! It's been another two weeks. The dr responded she would get it done right away. Within a week. Here we are. 10 more days. Nothing. Seriously??????? We desperately need diagnosises and therapy suggestions for an 8 year old that is spiraling quickly. How can they do this to a poor child who has OCD and rage so bad she's hurting herself? We've needed help for over a year now. Especially now!! This summer!!!
