Dont bother having a referral sent here; they'll never get it and will tell your referring doctor (after 2 months of trying to get an appointment) that they aren't accepting new patients (or at least that's what they told my doctor. That's not what their website suggests). By far the most unprofessional staff I've ever had to deal with in the state of South Carolina. I will be sending a formal complaint with the SC medical board for this establishment as well.

Horrible billing practices with this office. I spent several months going here with no single person from this office informing me that there was a $20 copay for each of my visits (3-4 per week). The office continued filing claims with my insurance and had no issue collecting the insurance claim money, but they failed to inform me that I owed copays for each visit. After months of therapy, I received a $700 bill for copays only. This is highly unethical billing practices as outlined in The DHA Program in which Tricare falls under. My fellow veterans, be cautious when visiting here. The company knows Tricare pays out quite a bit of money in regards to claims, so it’s easy money for Future Psych Solutions. Other insurance carriers will not pay as much as Tricare or Medicare pays for services here. Again, vets and military... be weary. My final thoughts... save your money and go to a more reputable place. 1 star for this place! Very unethical practices here!

The staff here have done more to help me with my mental health than anybody else outside of Almighty God. They are professional, knowledgeable, and demonstrate the empathy that patients need. Dr. Dubose is an excellent physician and counselor in his own right, but his fellow staff members are no less qualified and capable of providing care for those who need counseling. My own counselor, Ms. Lorraine Jenkins, is an outstanding example of the kind of staff that work here. Oh what a relief it is! The biggest headache in getting the proper help needed is battling the ins and outs of establishing care providers who communicate and understand your needs in a comfortable environment. Having relocated from DC, I wasn't sure I'd be able to find the care I needed in Columbia. I was wrong, it took some time, but I stumbled on FPS and won't look back. Therapist, Prescription Management, and advanced treatment....all in one place. Even in DC, the clinics offering TMS and Ketamine (great "reset" button for treatment resistant depression,etc.) would not handle the full spectrum of your care. You'll get what you pay for and a lot of smiling faces! Thanks Lily, Holly, Katie, and Stewart!

The staff was extremely welcoming from the moment I first walked in and at all times I felt like part of the family. I have been struggling with bipolar and drug addiction for over 10 years (dually diagnosed). I recently moved to Columbia from Philadelphia. I found myself in a tough situation mentally and was in need of a qualified doctor and team to assess and help me. I was able to see and be assessed by Dr. Dubose and his team within a few hours of initial call (not days, hours!) I initially spoke over the phone with Stewart, the office manager. He was very knowledgeable, confident, answered all my questions professionally and was the initial reason why I chose Future Psych Solutions. Great dude. I spent an hour with Dr. Dubose. He is very thorough, insightful, non judgemental, and an overall a warm, caring soul. We came up with a short term and long term plan together. He answered all my questions and I left the office confident that I found a doctor that cares about my well being and was invested in my situation health, and recovery. They are very nice; however, I have yet to have an appointment start on time. Every single appointment has been at least 30 minutes late, sometimes as much as an hour late. I have to take time off work for these appts, and it's very disrespectful to clients. At the least, they could call and let clients know ahead of time that things are running behind.

And at a judgement point, my primary says that it's "all in my head" and takes me off the meds I've been on for 6 years. Cold turkey!!! I pray this office can see me ASAP. Rx after Rx with no improvement, I went through DBT twice, saw a councilor every week...and still found myself immensely overwhelmed with depression. I spent every minute of every day with a sinking heaviness. Ketamine has been nothing less than life saving. The staff are very comforting. I GIVE THIS PLACE ONE STAR ONLY BECAUSE I COULDN'T PUT ZERO !!!! This is the most unprofessional establishment and a waste of money!! A JOKE! I should have listened and never seeked out care here. The staff was very rude and appeared confrontational among themselves They were unaware I was in the room before they quickly put back on the business face. I would NOT recommended getting any services from this business. Dr. Dubose started to act arrogant and rude when I presented information that must have "underminded" him. I felt belittled and judge based on my knowledge. Any input I gave about my treatment was never considered and his way (more money for me to spend) was always the best option. I don't feel it was based around my plan of care at all!!! It was made apparent that all he wanted was get every penny he could while recommending nonsense. Like a car salesman!! DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYTHING!!!

Had a great experience with Holly Lewis there, she’s wonderful. The reason for the one star rating is their office policies are absolutely ridiculous and dangerous. I have been on Pristiq for months now and they know this, but they are refusing to refill my medication until I go back in to see Holly Lewis. The only reason I am not able to get in to see her is because I lost my job back in November and with that I lost my health insurance. I cannot afford their $100+ out of pocket fee and their $75 refill fee. I am 22 years old with tons of debt and bills, I don’t have hundreds of dollars just sitting around. I literally have $1 to my name until next payday. Your office has caused me extreme mental anguish and horrible withdrawal symptoms from suddenly stopping Pristiq. I am absolutely disgusted by the lack of compassion and empathy your office has shown me. I understand not wanting to refill my controlled substances like Xanax and Adderall because of their bad reputation, but Pristiq? Really? I thankfully started a new job recently and once my health insurance kicks back in I will be finding a new mental health provider and requesting records from your office. Stay away from these greedy money-hungry people. Absolutely disgusting how you can put a dollar before someone else’s health and safety. Shame on all of you.

I had extremely high hopes for Dr. Dubose, but he really let me down by freaking out over an experience I shared with him that had nothing to with suicide yet he called the ambulance AND the police on me to take me to the hospital to be admitted. I feel that he cares more about protocol and getting in "trouble" with authorities rather than the actual recovery of the patient and what's best for them. I felt that he did NOT take into account my situation, thoughts, feelings, or what was best for me. He also lied by telling me he would pay for the ambulance bill if I agreed to go with them to get a second opinion, which I eventually did. I wasn't allowed to drive my own car and had to be taken to the hospital in the ambulance, but Dr. Dubose did not make sure I would have a way to get back to his office to get my car (whether it was because he thought I would be staying at the hospital overnight or not) and I was left to walk alone from Baptist back to his office at 9pm after getting cleared from the emergency room. Not only has he still, multiple months later, not paid the bill he said he would, but he also has NOT called or emailed or anything since I went to the hopsital for that second opinion to follow up with me. I do not believe Dr. Dubose genuinely cared about my situation or recovery at all, so I would be cautious when seeing him. Hopefully I'll never have to see him again after all the stress and turmoil he put me through in a measely 5 hours.

What can I possibly say about the staff (every single member) that treat me with such kindness every appointment? Where would my family be if I hadn’t called Future Psych Solutions 4 months ago because I’d failed to find adequate care for over a decade and the name of this practice just sounded ...right? Dr. DuBose and the FPS team are wonderful. From the first time I called, I felt like I was their only priority. Stewart and Lily are very attentive, and called to keep me informed while I waited for an appointment. When I arrived at the office, I was greeted immediately, and I didn't wait past my appointment time to be seen. Everyone is very professional, but laid-back and comfortable. This is not the typical stuffy psychiatric office at all! Dr. DuBose and I had a very thorough assessment interview. He discussed the different modalities he utilizes for depression treatment, and answered all of my questions. He is up-to-date on the latest research and treatments, including TMS and ketamine infusions. He is committed to treating depression successfully, and takes his commitment to his patients personally. FUTURE PSYCH SOLUTIONS INTERN REVIEW While at Future Psych Solutions I have had one of the best experiences. From the very first time I met all the providers and staff, they have made me feel like one of the family. They gave me total access to the inner-workings of a private practice and they are very transparent. They invite you in to sit in business meetings, marketing meetings, case assessments, and they encourage feedback. They do not want any bystanders, but they want you to grow, flourish, and stretch yourself outside of your comfort zones. Because this is a private practice, you get out of it what you put into it, and I was given the opportunity to see how different arms of the mental health profession operate. You get a inside look at different theories that you can observe through co-led sessions with your supervisors and other providers. You also get the ability to administer as well as learn about other assessments you can utilize in practice. Interns at Future Psych Solutions are a part of the practice and we try to contribute back to the practice that is trying to invest in us by giving us the needed tools to finish our educational pursuits as well as a possible home for LPC/A to continue licensure. I have seen first hand by hearing other providers stories how practicums and internships turn into a chance of being considered to be brought on as a provider. I searched all over the state to find a practicum location to call home and I am glad that I was able to find Future Psych Solutions. This is because I have gained the needed insight and tools that will forever shape my psychological endeavors. I thank all of my FPS family for making my practicum a success because I couldn’t have done it without each and everyone of you!

The office is getting together a walking club, they offers nice shirts, and plan on making more group activities, obviously at your own choice. They offer snacks and drinks. Future Psych Solutions I suffered from crippling Major Depressive Disorder/Generalized Anxiety Disorder for over a year before I sought help at Future Psych Solutions. I had taken medication prescribed by GPs in the past and I finally just ceased taking it, because it was not working. Then, my intelligence would not even kick in. Only those of you suffering with major depression will understand that interminable darkness. Then, my GP referred me to Future Psych Solutions. I met with Holly and I felt a ray of hope. Now, six months later, Holly has prescribed to me a new antidepressant cocktail, I like to call it and I am back among the living. My days are no longer simply endured. My anxiety is practically non-existent. So, this is the help I’ve been reading about that Holly provides? Yep. Although I am told that I am just getting my feet wet, I can assure you I am light years away from where I used to be, only six months ago. I cannot sing enough praise for Holly and for Future Psych Solutions. They even have a plan in the event this cocktail doesn’t suit me, a psychologist is available there, as well as new, cutting edge approaches for depression therapy. They even accept Medicare. What a shelter it is.
