Providence Center continues to save my life....

I have a mental illness. I need my meds. I called the psyche dept because I accidentally missed my appointment on March 26. I can't get more meds until I see my doctor. I asked if I can make another appointment and twice they transferred me to the office manager and I left 2 messages yesterday and here it is today. No response to those 2 messages. So I took 2 buses straight to the providence center. I went directly to the receptionist and she was nice. I asked to see the office manager and she said that everyone is at a meeting for 2 hours. Now I am getting stressed out. She can't make an appointment for me until I talk to the office manager. What the hell is that rule for? She said that that's policy procedure for all appointments. Where's the logic in that? Now they are making my problem worse instead of better.

The phsyc people from the receptionist to my therapist and nurse practitioner have all been wonderful.They have helped me alot and continue to. The emergency services was excellent Getting me stable and on my way. PCHC's services leave alot to be desired so far however I will see Dr. again before making a decision on staying or moving on.

Failure to follow HIPAA laws or even respond to requests to "Amend Personal Health Record" as required by federal law. Instead of helping and empowering you they lie, make-up things and do everything in their power to put you down. If you thought your traumatic experiences were bad, it will be worse if you come into contact with these people. Under HIPAA you have the right to receive a copy of you Personal Health Record (PHR) and I did. OMG and OMG! What a joke! Do they just make things up as they go? After seeing Mary Santateresa, MD a psychiatrist for 20 minutes (the record notes 30 minutes) she said I had PTSD and "bipolar disorder." I've never had a diagnosis of bipolar disorder--but they do this so they can try to cram medications down you to make $$$. Dr. Santateresa went on and on about my "smoking" and that I should continue my smoking cessation "counseling," etc., etc. etc. OMG doctor--what a miracle worker!!! I stopped smoking after that brief session with you. I'VE NEVER SMOKED IN MY LIFE!!! Is this another scam to get $$$ from somewhere by misdiagnosing people who come to you for "help"? Then the evaluation signed-off by Karen Chateauneuf, R.N. and the treatment plan with Cayla Cozzo. It said that they "reviewed the treatment plan" with me but the plan states where my signature should be (in almost a psychotic cursive) "Unable to Sign." You flat-out didn't review it with me because I was 1,000s of miles away. Liars! Two of the "best practices" in Mental Health are Trauma-Informed Care and Strength-Based services. Their idea of "helping" people in need and in vulnerable positions is the equivalent of stepping on your hands as you dangle from a cliff. They fail and refuse to follow best-practices, fail and refuse to follow the HIPAA rights of clients to amend records, fail and refuse to empower clients and fail and refuse to use facts in their reporting. They treat adults like children--very condescending. If there was a ZERO rating, that's what they'd get from me. AVOID this program if at all possible. If not, exercise ALL OF YOUR RIGHTS when dealing with them.

I went here based on doctor recommendation even after I read some horrible reviews. Left there in tears. I was basically told it was my fault my child was acting out. No support whatsoever. Person we worked with was rude and unsympathetic.

I hate this place not because of the therapist but because if their stupid scheduling and their lack of communication. I called to rechedule and they don't rechedule you they let your appointment pass and count it as a no show even tho you call cancel and rechedule. Then I Calle to rechedule again cause my daughter got surgery and they tell me I can't get another appointment because I'll have 2 no shows how can that be if I called to cancel. I wonder are they there to help or to give people more stress this place is a joke I don't recommend it I'm just going to find my self another place where they are good communicating and letting people what to expect from the getco. Over all real bad customer service.
