Hopefully he’s changed. I went to him in the mid 90’s. It was my first time ever in therapy. I went voluntarily. I found him in the yellow pages. Yes, this is going back some time and I never forgot the experience. He sat behind a desk (a no no in therapy) and had piles of file folders framing where he’s looked out of at me. The phone would ring and he’d say, “I have to get this because it might be my daughter.” She was in college at the time. He’d have a short conversation and then rehash it with me. I was struggling with some things and the call was an interruption for both of us. I was going to school to earn a degree at the time and realized this was the wrong way to do therapy. Flash forward many years later, I’m a therapist and I found that this experience has caused me to check myself to never do what this psychologist did to me. Again, hopefully he’s changed, but other reviews I’ve read state he not only takes calls during sessions, but also answers texts and emails. Robert Marzilli - you’re unprofessional and likely unethical in your practice. The APA should be aware of your practices when clients are in your office. Your website is poorly designed and amateurish. It lists values anyone would already come to expect in a therapist. Time to retire.
