Worst practice I have ever encountered. Amanda is not a skilled professional at all. My husband and I were not impressed by her skills at all. Their billing office is incompetent and is still trying to collect money from us that they insist that we owe them. If they were organized professionals that knew how to conduct a business we wouldn't be having this problem. They also have zero phone etiquette. I wouldn't take my goldfish to see these people. WORST EVER.

I went there for over a year and saw Jean Berry and She was exceptional and helped me in so many ways. Jean apparently moved on from this ridiculous practice and the owner is now trying to price hike me with a counselor with less credentials and experience than Jean. The owner also didn't call me, I had to call multiple times after I was unable to reach my therapist. The owner is rude, inaccessible and only interested in money. It's a loss for them that Jean is gone.

The owner and office was amazing! I appreciated the professionalism and how I was treated with kindness. Asking for help is not always an easy thing to do but if you’re going to, i definitely recommend this center. A+

The neurofeedback eased my anxiety to manageable levels, improved my sleep ( I woke up less often in the middle of the night) and gradually, during the course of my 20-session treatment, instilled in me a sense of lightness and optimism, peace, and release. In fact, I found the sessions so beneficial that I did a second round of 20 sessions. I would highly recommend doing at least 2 sessions per week for the most effectiveness. I felt a very striking difference in the weeks I had one session vs the weeks I had two.

I was at a very low point in life, depression, stress, mental restlessness and anxiety where controlling my life, affecting my job, and my relationships with family and friends and it was getting worse. When I started therapy and started to explain what was going on there was some misunderstanding when it came to my experiences, but once those went away, and over time and trying out neurofeedback therapy I started to notice positive changes in my life, most notably the ability to relax, and the ability to manage my stress. I was aprehensive at first with the neurofeedback part of therapy, but with some research I wanted to give it a try, and it worked. I wish I could have continued on, but had some insurance provider issues which caused me to stop. In the end I'm glad I went here, and if it wasn't for the help I revieced the outcome would have been horrific.

Would definitely recommend this counseling center for your mental health needs.

When I began seeing Amanda I immediately sensed her genuine acceptance and desire to help. Her expertise as a very skilled therapist has helped me to trust again and reach my goals by providing me with coping skills and guidance. While her insight and proficiency in talk therapy helped me very much, she introduced me to neurofeedback.I was skeptical at first, but I'm so glad I trusted her.My anxiety has improved greatly! I highly recommend Amanda and her team! I couldn't ask for a better therapist!

When I began Neurofeedback with Amanda Levinson in March of this year I was in constant pain 24 hours a day. I had had 3 spinal surgeries in 2015 and as a result I suffered from terrible neuropathy in both hands. I can't say enough about my results and my experience with Ms. Levinson. I am delighted with the progress I am making, There are many days when I am totally pain free. I will continue to work on this issue and others until I am literally told to leave. Ms. Levinson is a wonderful therapist. She is extremely knowledgeable, supportive, kind and very patient and understanding. I love working with her. My life gets better every day because of Amanda Levinson and Neurofeedback. Give it a try, I promise you have nothing to lose and so much to gain. Thank you Amanda and Neurofeedback because of you my quality of life is greatly improved and I am forever grateful.

I recently went to this practice and worked with Amanda. She was attentive and helpful. From the moment I entered, she made me feel like it was a safe place to talk.

B-E-W-A-R-E!! The first issue I had here was with balances (not alone it seems!). I received an email on Thursday April 19th for a balance due that came back from the insurance company. Simple enough, as I've worked for insurance companies so I understand when the deductible hasn't been met and it is owed. I was emailed this at 3PM. I had not responded because I wanted to speak to my husband first on what we could afford, as finances were tight. On Friday April 20, I was shocked to find that a monetary amount of $150 had been withdrawn from my account to pay towards this deductible balance WITHOUT my knowledge. Now HOLD ON one moment. If you try to call Amanda and are upset you can't get a hold of her, she'll remind you that they have a 24hr return policy. Note closely here that Amanda COULD NOT give me the same respect in waiting 24hrs for me to respond about MY FINANCES. She decided, NOT ME, that $150 was a good amount to randomly pull from a clients bank account without them knowing or without their approval. When I brought this up she denied she hurt my finances, said I was the one that was angry with her, copied my EX-husband in an email and barred me from ever returning to the property because I called her about her taking money out of my account and she thought I sounded "angry". She then asked my Ex to continue taking our children there, and while he did I was in the dark on my children's therapy! I wrote a review on her facility (right here where I'm doing it again) and she said to me "you don't know how that review can hurt a business, hopefully you can rectify that". Now let's get into my Ex-husband, and their co-parenting counselor Jean Berry (who according to Psychology Today, does NOT have her license yet). We attended sessions with Jean Berry to try and resolve our conflict, however in order to resolve the conflict I needed to be able to express the emotional, physical, sexual and psychological abuse I sustained with my ex-husband and that it would NOT be that simple to "just get over it". I tried and tried to explain to Jean everything that he had done. It was INCREDIBLY difficult sitting on the same couch with this man. She asked us for individual sessions because of our high-conflict. Jean made me feel like I could open up and tell her things, she even sounded like she believed and sympathized with me. I came to find out through my attorney talking with Jean, that actually Jean thought I WAS LYING, I WAS PLAYING THE VICTIM CARD, AND THAT I'M STUCK IN THE PAST. I felt so violated and my trust had been shattered. So I went to a REAL psychologist after what Jean had said about me, and was diagnosed with PTSD from my domestic abuse history, and my ex-husband is a trigger. Jean Berry sat me on a couch with him, looked me in the eye every time I spoke assuming I was lying, and blatantly dismissed the trauma I was enduring not only sitting next to him at that moment, but everything else he had done to me in the past and she couldn't make the connection. How you're a therapist trained on PTSD and weren't able to make that connection is baffling. Amanda copied him in on an email directed towards me, once again causing me more trauma ( that thanks to A REAL PSYCHOLOGIST I now understand how, why and when it's triggered -- it's the ex that abused me, incase you're still wondering Neurofeedback). The #metoo movement started because women were afraid to speak out about their abuse. They're afraid to speak out because of people like Jean Berry. This is supposed to be a place to 'heal', and all it did was turn two therapists against me because of finances, a google review, a have them question and prod my children without talking to me about what is going on, believed everything my ex-husband said and took his side, and were ready to testify against me in a custody case. None of this had anything to do with me being a mother to my children, by the way, but they were ready to attack. Stay far, far away from this place.

Over a year ago, I had a series of unfortunate events occur in my life. Common sense told me it was time for me to make some changes. I was on a downward spiral. I was depressed, tired, overwhelmed and in a horrible place. That is when I made the call to my Employee Assistance Provider. The representative gave me a few counselors to choose from and this was only because of the area I wanted to be in. I had three names and I reviewed the website for each one. My first call was to Neurofeedback and Counseling Center. From there I set my appointment and the moment I met Amanda, I knew it was exactly where I was going to stay. First I want to say, when you walk into her lobby area you feel a sense of calmness and relaxation. I always joke and say i'm just going to reserve a time to come and nap in your lobby area because it is exactly the peace you need after a long day. My appointments are usually after work. BTW, she is very flexible with her scheduling. I'm not encouraging you to "reschedule" often but in the event that you need to, the link she provides takes you right to her website. I have had to do this and she gets back to me as soon as possible. Amanda is very friendly and down to earth. She likes to laugh too! She also a professional, trust me when I say that. I feel very comfortable talking to her, saying exactly what is on my mind at that moment. We begin our session, and she always asks what do I want to talk about. Just that question alone speaks volumes, because anyone seeking help A) Always has something on their mind and B) This helps to give you some control over your session. For someone like me who is a complete mess at times, it's almost a way for me to try to organize my thoughts before my appointment! She has helped me identify my challenges, things I can do to overcome these obstacles, but always in a positive light. She encourages me to take care of myself and helps me understand that I am someone who matters. Each session is different and we walk through it as if we were just friends having a serious conversation about life. She will address with you any topic you feel comfortable discussing. Personal, professional, family, stress/anxiety, alcohol/addiction, or if you have something funny to tell her please don't be afraid to! She'll laugh with you! While I am still working on my issues, with each session I walk out of there feeling so much better than I did when I walked in. I am rating her practice as 5 stars. Amanda is truly a gem!

I was very pleased with the results of neurofeedback therapy. My child has ADHD and a processing delay and this helped her. In addition to this type of therapy my child received talk therapy as needed. We had a difficult year and Amanda helped us.

Through the counseling services and neurofeedback that I have received at Neurofeedback & Counseling Center of Pennsylvania, I have really been able to see a huge difference in myself because of all of the changes I have made. I am getting to know myself, and I feel like I have gotten a second chance at life! Thank you for all of your amazing work, Amanda!

I would not recommend this practice, very hard to reach reception and schedule an appointment and they do not follow up on messages left. Staff not professional ended up going somewhere else to continue treatment as a result. Would NOT recommend this practice to anyone.

Jamie Levine

I had a great experience! I felt understood and it was very helpful. Definitely recommend!

I went here for a year. Been tossed around to different therapists. Their communication sucks. I kept trying to get an appointment in with my busy schedule and they would just not get back to me. The hours were great. But the good therapists would leave and do their practice else where. I would not recommend this place.

Kelly Kearn

Beware. This practice is a scam. Save your money. Go to an ACTUAL therapist to talk through your issues. If you don't heed this warning, be prepared to drop at least $120 (if you have a $40 copay) before you even begin an actual "treatment" which consists of watching movies with no feedback whatsoever from Amanda the "therapist". Even though during your second appotment there is a comprehensive report printed out from her software program (she bought after she got her online "certification") you will not be given a copy of it to review. You won't be provided any insight as to how you are doing or your progress until you supposedly go through all of your paid sessions. And god forbid you might have to reschedule within 24 hours. Not only will you be charged for that session, you also be charged a $100 fee on top of your session charge. That's for a RESCHEDULE! Completely inflexible. Save yourself precious time, money and frustration. Avoid this place!!h

I can't recommend this practice enough. It's been a great choice for me since I started seeing Amanda in regular sessions earlier this year. I was having a flare up of generalized anxiety and depression symptoms brought on by a few big changes in my life. I'm a big believer in cognitive behavioral therapy and talk therapy as well as seeking out a good therapist for times when you just need a little help and outside neutral perspective. Through the course of my work with Amanda, she's helped me learn many helpful skills to stop negative self-talk, embrace change and not be afraid of it, calming techniques, and the importance of self-care. I would definitely recommend her for one-on-one talk therapy. I've also never had a problem scheduling appointments and Amanda is always very clear in explaining her billing/insurance filing process. I appreciate that.

I am so pleased with the help I received to address some taxing issues. Jeanne, my counselor, and the staff at the Neurofeedback center are helpful and kind. I highly recommend her and this office if you are in need.

Nadia Mulder

Amanda was great! I left every appointment feeling better! She explains everything that you will be doing in an appointment before you start any type of therapy and why your doing it! Very helpful!
