My son is having a good experience here. He has come out of his shell a little and notably talks more openly to others after three years of severe agoraphobia. There have been a handful of billing mistakes by the office, but they’ve managed to straighten them out. Overall it has been a good experience. Allison Huntley is my son’s therapist and is kind and compassionate.

This review is in no way reflective of the provider's ability to provide counseling, but the scheduling system. One week ago the provider had my son mention to me that we needed to get more appointments on the books. This week I attempted to schedule more with him still having another appointment on the books. Because of the way they schedule my sons provider is completely booked until June at least. That is two months away. I was told their system has no way to warn clients this is about to happen, and that it happens all the time. If you are providing mental health services and it happens all the time why not fix the problem. It doesn't seem like it would be good practice to continue to allow this to happen. If I had known I would have found another provider or made sure to schedule further out.

Glynis, what an amazing woman! She's fabulous with our entire family and helping us hike up these mountains in our life right now! Listens and is the most soft spoken person I've ever encountered, which we all love! Thx you so much for everything you do for us! We couldn't ask for a better person to asst us♡ Update~ Although Glynis is no longer@Firefly and has went on her own, I wanted to thank the office for being so helpful with our record transfer back to Glynis as requested and professionalism. All the positive energy and vibes are felt and very appreciated.

The turn around in me and my children's lives is simply amazing. I expected to be in therapy with my children for years but after only 2 months the change is astounding. My confidence as a parent is the highest it has ever been and my children's confidence grows each and every day. Karen has literally changed the trajectory of our future with the tools and support that she has provided. Kinanaskomitin (I am grateful) for the life changing support that we have received.

If I could do a negative star rating I would. Do not take your children or yourself to this counseling practice. Their employee turn over is constant, and the moment rapport is built between a therapist and a client, the client is changed to a new provider due to their inability to keep therapists. They give no consideration to the best practice in terms of allowing clinicians who are leaving to assist in the transition. They bully their employees to the point where they quit. There are only a few licensed clinicians on staff to begin with. It's really sad because this practice could be so helpful to the community.

After almost a year with this company, I think the clinicians are great! And that is why we continue here. I think the running of the business has a lot to be desired. Payment has been a MESS!! We pay out of pocket every appointment. Card is ran, receipt is given. On multiple occasions we’ve come in to find out there is a balance owed from 3+ weeks prior (we come in weekly though) because something didn’t go through right or it wasn’t updated in their books correctly. Keep every receipt you get because likely you’ll be needing to look back through them but even then you may have to get bank statements, and spend a couple hours matching everything up on your own to verify if there are in fact any missing payments.... even though your card was ran every single time you were there... I agree with another review that scheduling is a mess. If a client works into a set day/time routinely that should be their spot until they notify otherwise. It should not completely fall on the client to make sure they are scheduled 3 months out all the time to hold their spot. This is something the business should make sure is done and make calls if needed to schedule further out so clients don’t end up losing their day/time for two reasons: 1. It’s just simply good business 2. It’s extremely important that those going to counseling, especially kids have consistency!! Ultimately, if you know these things going into it, you’ll save yourself a lot of frustration. The counselors are ultimately what people come here for, and so far we’ve been happy with them.

I'm attempting to begin services here, and i will say im discouraged by how hard it is to reach anyone as a new client. i dont have regular ability to asnwer phone calls, and i do not like that the only way to set up as a new patient is to either leave a voicemail, or submit a form, in which your staff will respond to in a few days. as someone with a lot of anxieties, especially regarding numbers i do not recognize as ive been stalked and harrassed in that format, its very disheartening to have to go through that hoop. i dont see why i cant just talk to a staff member over the phone when i my self call you guys and set things up :/

I have been a client of Michelle’s for six or seven years. She is the most ethically minded, passionately empathetic, and genuinely real person I have come across. Her abilities as a clinician are incredibly strong and she is also one of the most well read people I know. She knows her stuff and excepts a standard of knowledge for anyone providing mental heath services. She is out of this world good at her job and while I’ve not had any sessions with anyone else at Firefly if Michelle hired them they are the best out there. I’m currently in the maintenance phase of treatment and Michelle has been there through some pretty major milestones in my life. With her help I’ve become a much stronger person, and as a mental health provider myself I aspire to be as competent and connected as she is. Kudos to Michelle and her staff.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I walked out mid-session and terminated further services here. They made a decision without confronting me first and it was not in my best interest. It actually put me in a harmful space. I do not feel safe sharing any personal information with this company.

It takes about 6 months for a child to develop a trusting relationship with a counselor. We knew this going in and were not concerned when things started off slow. After six months we find out that the counselor is leaving the state. Honestly, why take a new client when you know you will be leaving so soon? Not only was it essentially a waste of six months, but now my son is nervous about opening up again (and can you blame him?). I spent 300 a week to build a relationship just for it to be torn down the moment trust was built. What's saddest of all is that my eight year old son, who was already having a hard time making friends, is now retreating even farther into his she'll because of all this.
