I came to Therapy in Motion for extended physical therapy in 2015 when I broke my pelvic bone and in 2017 when I broke a metatarsal bone in my foot. The care and treatment I received from the therapists and staff was excellent. The therapists listened to me, tried a variety of treatment modalities, (some I'd never heard of before!), and provided great encouragement. In addition, small details were attended to: instructions given to me for home exercises were clear and specific; the friendly and helpful office staff made scheduling appointments and insurance filing easy.
Also, Therapy in Motion is home to an excellent diagnostician, Cindy Merrick. I worked with Cindy both times and was amazed at her ability to diagnose what was happening to cause pain and limit movement. Once Cindy made a diagnosis, she proposed a treatment that was just what was needed. Though I was initially hesitant when she suggested "dry needling" at my first appointment in 2015 when I broke my pelvic bone, the treatment completely eliminated a certain pain and it never returned. After breaking my metatarsal bone in 2017, I continued to experience pain daily even after the bone had healed. Cindy detected a stiffness in my toe after watching me walk. She prescribed iontophoresis treatment and recommended wearing a metatarsal pad in my shoe. It made all the difference! In my experience, Cindy is simply the best at diagnosing and treating physical therapy patients. She listens, cares, offers creative solutions, and possesses an uncommon determination to help her clients get better.
