Great experience, and a great help for me and my wife.

I have been going to Charity for couples and individual sessions for over 3 years. I really appreciate her attentiveness, unbiased nature, creativity in problem solving, empathy, progressiveness, and her experience. Thank you!

Jake Pratt

I was only able to make a few sessions due to my work life but she was very helpful. If i need more I'll go back to her.

Donna Orcutt

Taught me to be a better communicator about my feelings, which helped me save my marriage. Also helped my husband with same issues. We could not be happier. Thanks SO much for the guidance. Would give 10 stars if I could!

Rachel Thomas

I've been in therapy with Charity for 9 months, and I've never had a therapist that I've been more comfortable with. She's helped me so much, and she takes the time to listen and help me work things out. I highly recommend her!

PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE SEEING THIS WOMAN!! Look on health grades and Facebook for several other bad reviews. I would not recommending going to see Charity for marriage counseling. We went in for individual sessions and then together for a joint session. She was 10 minutes late to our appointment which I found very unprofessional. We left her office much worse than we came in. She tried to do a lot of damage to our marriage. My wife and I agreed that she tried to turn us against each other. She totally dodges the big picture and focuses too much on small issues. We won't be going back. After our disastrous 1 hour session, she over charged our credit card by $50. I will be making a claim to our credit card company as we did not approve any additional charges. I believe counseling can help your marriage, just choose your therapist wisely.

She was great. Tremendous help. Would recommend!

Chelsea really listens. She helped regain my independence and courage to get back to my life

I searched and went to several places before finding Charity. She is by far the best in my opinion, she listens and give feedback and asks questions that make you reflect on yourself and how to make improvements. I don’t think I could find anyone better than her for me.

A counselor, at best is supposed to help you see where your problems lie, and lead you to see them, so that ultimately YOU may do the work to fix them. They do not hold your hand, baby you, give you false hope. The best counselors give it to you straight, and help you to unravel the why and what of your issue, and then make careful suggestions to help you fix the HOW and WHERE you got there, and you go from here. Charity Danker and Evanescence Counseling where there for me at a period when my wife and I needed guidance. Eventually, we took the tools we received and went upon our way to solve our problems. Some did get solved, some did not. But we continue to work on our issues and are works in progress. As for the nuts and blots of the business: There were times we had to wait on her to see us ( other sessions ran long, family issues) and times she had to wait on us ( traffic, as we drove from Moore to NW OKC to see her). Sometimes she was in the mood to hear us; sometimes we weren't in the mood to hear her. We still did the work, and we didn't have but one minor billing problem when we were there ( in fact, she still owes us two sessions we paid for and never collected on),so we would recommend her as a capable therapist / counselor to help you with guidance to get your issues on track for YOU to successful deal with them.

I really don't think that someone who hasn't actually been to Evanescence Counseling should be writing reviews. I have been going there for a while now and it is great! The office may be small, but it is comfortable. It has corner windows with a great view and I find it very relaxing. I have confidence in my therapist. She is caring, sensitive, and funny. She is professional, always on time, and ready to help me. I find our sessions beneficial. If you are looking for a therapist who is both honest and real, she is it.

I’m happy with the service Charity provided. I wanted a therapist I could feel comfortable with. I was able to let my guard down and be completely open, honest, and vulnerable in all of our sessions. She was always attentive, knowledgeable, and gave great feedback. I appreciated her willingness to be flexible with scheduling appointments and every time I contacted her she got back to me almost immediately. It was a great experience and I will take all the things that I learned and apply it with me everyday.

I didn’t see Charity for very long and I have to say it was wonderful! I felt like she listened to me and confronted me when I needed to be confronted. She is incredibly intuitive and caring. She was more than willing to work around my schedule as well. Thank you for your gift!

I'd only been to one other therapist and I didn't go back. I have seen Charity both on my own and with my wife off and on for the past 4 years, that should tell you something. Sometimes your marriage needs an outside ear and voice to help you see things from a different angle and for us, Charity has been that voice and ear. Thank you Charity, the things you have taught us have improved our relationship and our lives.

Charity is awesome. It took me three tries before I found someone I could talk to comfortably. She listened and genuinely cared to help.

when my husband told me he had found us a new counselor I was skeptical. Our last counselor always left me feeling horrible about myself. Constructive criticism or making one come out of their comfort zone I get but feeling bashed that’s not helping an already stressed situation. Charity genuinely cares about her clients. So when you truly believe you are in the right and she informs you (without judgement) that you are not you don’t feel beaten up. She makes you think about what led you to that conclusion. She listens to what you have to say or how you are feeling. You never feel like you are talking to a stranger her personality is warm and inviting. Which always makes you feel like you stopped off at a friends house just to vent and get some sound advice. I love how she stresses communication which is mine and my husbands biggest issue. I’m sure she needs a counselor after seeing us! So if you want some staunch uninviting face behind a notepad your time is up kind of person she’s not your gal. If you want someone who you feel like she invests herself into her clients is warm friendly open honest and inviting she’s the one! Thank you Charity for being there for us!

Beware of this counselor if you or your partner is anything but neurotypical. She ignored all warnings we gave her about my wife's condition and validated all of her delusions. We both found when she was alone with us that she tried to turn us against each other and our marriage and sex life have not recovered in the last year since we went and saw her for five+ sessions. I'm angry about it but I was ready to let it all go and try to work on our problems with a better therapist, but she keeps spamming my email to leave her a review, so here you go. 0/10 would not ruin my marriage again.

The worse off you are, the better you’ll get. I’m a challenging patient to work with because I’m highly intelligent and stubborn! I was pretty in debt to others as well as my self, I learned I had subconsciously bankrupted myself. Charity taught me how to see myself living joyfully and free. She gave me simple steps to take each session. When I did my homework my family, friends, and others treated me differently, as a result, good things showed up in my life. I learned when I change the world changes for good. I will continue working with Charity because I want to live in a world without limits, and full of compassion.

Charity was great counselor for us! Very professional. Charity was able to help us learn how to communicate effectively with each other. Comfortable office and a nice central location. She always made us feel at home. She makes it easy to open up and discuss the deep issues.

My wife and I have been seeing Charity for almost a year now individually and as a couple. We also attended one of the group sessions and absolutey loved it! As a man...being vulnerable has been a challenge on some levels for me but in private and group sessions I feel very safe to be me and share my struggles. The energy, positive support and lots of laughing really helps me open up. I feel re-connected to my wife on so many levels and can’t wait to attend the next session. Charity you have a lovely way of opening me up, assuring me it’s ok to be me, helping me understand how to navigate myself and my wife and challenging me when I need it. We love you! ❤️ MW

We started Marriage Counseling with Charity a few months ago. For me, the best part is that she is able to process a lot of information in a short amount of time and bring the most important parts to the center for both people to discuss in a neutral environment and without judgements. I also really appreciate that she suggests new ways to connect and engage because if we are being honest, we can talk about our problems and it does help but the real moving forward seems to be a choice to try in a new way that you never have before. The clarity I feel by the end of each session feels so good. Charity is very direct in the very best possible way. And although our sessions are couples based, I have undeniably benefited as an individual too.
