This is the greatest group of therapist. They are professional yet make you laugh and feel comfortable. Very welcoming facility. I would never consider going anywhere but First Settlement Physical Therapy in South Charleston. Great staff, great front office, knowledgeable educated staff who focus on your speedy rehabilitation. What more could you ask for. Can't praise this facility enough.

Hello good people, my name is Larry, if your looking for a good place to heal and get better and your willing to work hard and push yourself, listen to and follow the advice of your therapist you and your family can watch you improve and get better. I had a stroke a little over two years ago, I was able to take OT and PT for over a year and my quality of life for me was most improved. I worked with everybody in both departments and found all to have outstanding healing and giving energy, big thanks to Cara and her excellent OT team. And to Tim and Jordan’s wonderful PT team. Special thanks to Diana and Ali. so if you need a good place to get therapy and improve your quality of life check them out.

I quit after 2 visits. The PT Therapist who assessed me was great. The PT Aides, who actually did the therapy were a joke. They constantly talked to one another, loud disco music played all the time. They popped gum, and were not focused on the task at hand. Unprofessional and immature staff.

They injured my neck further and when I mentioned the Injury was now a grinding/popping sound in my neck that I didn't even have prior to going, they promptly released me in worse shape than I was before going go PT. Awful facility.

My 3 year old goes here for PT and the staff is wonderful. They do an excellent job with him and have really helped him not only with why he is there, but also helped with his social skills. He loves it there and his aide's have always done an amazing job with him. Would absolutely recommend!!!

I came to FSPT for occupational therapy before my atypical shoulder surgery. The Occupational Therapists at FSPT are excellent. Everyone on the OT team is extremely skilled, knowledgeable, compassionate and very personable. Each member of the OT team contributed to my care and brought a unique perspective to my case. A special thanks to Jesse Davis who worked to prepare my shoulder for surgery. I returned to FSPT for OT after my surgery to regain movement and strength. A special thanks to both Cara Vandale and Evie Ververeli for their post surgery OT care. The OT team has contributed greatly to my overall recovery.

Absolutely love this place!! I had extensive shoulder repair surgery before starting therapy here. I have been treated great by all staff members. They are extremely knowledgeable in their profession, but able to put treatment into terms that is easily understandable. I was apprehensive about the pain that I would incur during treatment, and they have worked with me one on one until I could get past it. Overall great experience, I have felt at home (comfortable) since I walked in the door. Highly recommend for anyone needing Physical Therapy treatment.

The lady at the front desk was friendly and she took care of me with respect. She was not upset because I was a little late she smiled and said that’s ok I will get someone with you here in a minute. Then a staff member came over asked me to go into a room .Then she asked several questions about how I was doing and how she could try to help me. She listened to my complaints and worries and she told me how to try to handle them. After that she started to measure my body parts .To see what the difference is now and what it will be when they are done with the treatments . There’s more but you should come and check it out yourself to know what it is Thank you all

I am going to therapy at First Settlement and I really like it. I am going to the Marietta,Ohio facility. The staff are all very nice and helpful,they answer any questions I have. If you need therapy First Settlement is the place to go.

FIRST SETTLEMENT ORTHOPEDICS DOESNT GIVE A CRAP about anything except HOW MUCH MONEY THEY CAN SCAM FROM YOU AND YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY I almost didn't go here because I thought they were owned by First Settlement Orthopedics which is one of the most hateful, uncaring, greedy groups I have ever seen and only cared about was if I could pay. I had a broken wrist and even though they were "on call" when I went to the ER in Marietta they wouldn't see me unless I paid $500 up front because I have Ohio Medicaid. I obviously couldn't afford it and they told me to go to the emergency room at Camden Clark in Parkersburg First Settlement Physical Therapy is TOTALLY independent from First Settlement Orthopedics. I have been to First Settlement on two different occasions after ankle surgery. My husband also went there after hip replacement. The staff is wonderful to work with, very knowledgeable and caring. Everyone works well together providing a group effort on the therapy needed to get the most beneficial results. Jessica was quick to pick up on my difficulties and able to adjust therapy for my benefit. The friendly atmosphere somehow made therapy fun. I wouldn't consider going anyplace else for therapy. Too often we don't take the time to thank those who've really helped us and made a difference. Thank you to the Staff at First Settlement!

My son goes to First Settlement for PT due to an issue with his ankles. The staff have been very resourceful and energetic when it comes to finding different activities to suit his needs. Everyone knows his name and he looks forward to coming 2 times a week!! The aids are always upbeat and attentive. The positive energy and motivation flows through the entire facility. I have witnessed ALL AGES leave with smiles on their faces. They have a wide range of resources to fit any and all PT needs. By far the best physical therapy I've ever had. First Settlement's physical therapists and physical therapy assistants are more knowledgeable, empathetic, and hands-on than I've experienced in the past at another facility where I felt like a number. Everyone knows my name and my story, and they don't address every particular kind of pain with one prescribed set of stretches and exercises. Very tailored and effective therapy, and I would recommend this place to anyone who needs physical therapy.

I have been coming to FSPT for almost 6 months and they have been awesome. My shoulder was frozen and the rotator cuff had shut down and they have helped me immensely. I basically have full range of motion now and just need to build up the strength in that arm again. I have been to other PT places for other problems and FSPT is right up there with them. The therapists are all very skilled and knowledgeable about what I need to do to get those muscles working again. They watch carefully to make sure that my technique is correct, and they are all very friendly, so even though it hurt to do the exercises they made it an enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend FSPT to anyone who needs PT.

I had knee replacement surgery in November 2017, and selected First Settlement for my therapy. I definitely made the right decision, what a great place for therapy! The staff are one big family unit that helps each other out as well as the patient. My therapist, Allie Oxley, was super nice, encouraging, and very professional. She is very knowledgeable regarding the proper recovery procedure. I was greeted by friendly office personnel as soon as I entered the lobby and they were very accommodating in scheduling appointments. I never waited more than a couple of minutes before Allie came out to take me into the gym. The gym is an open atmosphere where everyone gets to know you and follow you through your recovery. When needed, I will not hesitate to select First Settlement. Thank you Allie and Staff.
