Nothing good to say, so far I am waiting for them to return a phone call. I think 2 months is plenty of time to accomplish this simple task. If you need counseling, look somewhere else.

Hannah Guffy is an exceptional therapist who has the gift of making our children feel safe and at ease. She gives practical insight and strategies to help them cope with adolescence and this ever more complex world. We are thankful to be in her care.

My wife called to get info from this practice. Although they returned her call very promptly, they were incredibly unhelpful to her and told her they didn't have a therapist that matched what she was looking for, although on their website my wife could clearly see that they did. My wife feels as though she was discriminated against because she wanted therapy without a religious base, and said so. That is when the woman returning her call became unhelpful. Very disappointing considering the positive reviews. We were hopeful about this office. I wonder if some of the individual providers here know that the office staff is turning away potential clients based on religious discrimination??

I have been coming to 180 for over a year now. I’ve seen Phill as well as Julie. I think the lady who posted the bad review may have been in a bad state of mind and set a session up around the holidays… I have been coming to 180 for over year now. I’ve seen Phill as well as Julie. I think the lady who posted the bad review may have been in a bad state of mind and set a session up around the holidays… The therapists here are great and work as a team. There’s only one office person, so perhaps the person who posted it on a day that the receptionist may have been out sick or something. I think reviews are more fair when you’ve been coming to see therapists for a while versus one visit and one bad experience waiting. I have recommended this therapy office to quite a few friends. I highly recommend this therapy center for anyone who is looking for quality therapists who really care.

I normally never give people low reviews because I try to be understanding. However, today is an exception. I was referred to One Eighty Counseling in Cary by my amazing doctors office because I have been looking for a counselor to go to in the area. I have been in contact with Once Eighty Counseling multiple times within the last week and a half. I spoke with Jennifer at the front desk multiple times in regards to me coming in today at 9am to see an intern. I was told to come at 8:45 am to do paperwork. I showed up and signed in at 8:45 but no one was at the front desk so I sat in the back room alone for a while until I saw a someone walk out from the hallway. I told him I was there to complete paperwork for my apt. at 9am. He gave me the paperwork to fill out. I filled it out and waited. Two other clients came in and were seen by counselors there while I waited. I left at 9:30 am, after being there since 8:40 am like I was told. No one asked me who I was waiting for or why I was waiting. I was not greeted. I had to be somewhere at 10:30 am and I was told I would be seeing someone promptly at 9am. It was a waste of my time and time to me, is more valuable than money. I called and was transferred to an individual in the Garner office. I was kind and respectful when telling her what happened. I asked if there was a way I could have my next session be free of charge, since no one showed up for my scheduled first session. She said that isn't possible ( it would have been just $10 since I was seeing an intern) and that we could get me rescheduled. There are plenty of other wonderful places in Cary that provide better customer service. Horrible communication, waste of time, and they don't stick to their word. I am disappointed but I wish them well.

I have been a patient here for almost 2 years and worked with 2 counselors. All employees that I have interacted with were really polite, maintained patient privacy, and are always nice. I highly recommend this practice, and love working with Allison!

I have been coming here to see Jenny for almost 2 years, maybe it is over 2. She is very professional, warm and caring and has helped me tremendously. I would recommend her and this practice to anyone.

Matthew Simcox

Terrible experience for my family member. Received no feedback from his "counselor". There was no communication to help my family member to learn to deal with any issues. My family member would talk for 15-20 minutes and the counselor would end the session without offering any help.

Joshua McDaniel

I would definitely recommend their services to my friends and family.

My children go here and see Victoria Butler. She is awesome. She takes time with the children to help them feel comfortable with her before she dives into counseling. While talking to them and helping them feel comfortable, she asks questions, they play games, and she lets them discuss anything they want to talk about. She does a lot of active listening to understand what problems may be underlying that the child doesn't come out and say, but says through other things they are doing. The front office staff is always willing to help, and they are always very nice. I highly recommend this practice!!

Originally, I came here to discuss coping mechanisms for dealing with my wife who suffers from a personality disorder and for ways of getting her the help that she needs. I wanted to try and to confirm that what I have been dealing with is borderline personality disorder. I have always reacted to her emotional dysregulation in a maladaptive manner, and I wanted to figure out how to properly deal with it. Ironically, this place became a place that is now part of my wife's arsenal of abuse and crazymaking (I do not know how else to describe it.). I sought out the services of 180 Counseling on my own. However, even a momentary absence raises the suspicions of my wife (I'm cheating, according to her), so of course she sought out where I was going (It is not hard. I am a stay-at-home dad. My wife makes all the money, and she monitors every move I make. Imagine living like that); she then began receiving counseling here (Ok, fine.); she then discovered who I was seeing (Seriously?), and then she and her counselor made an appointment with my counselor for marital therapy (What?). Patient privacy? Guess not. Seriously? Should it not have been a red flag that my wife is trying to track down where I am receiving counseling and with who? Nope. Instead they have counseled her, allowing her to be the victim and me the abuser. What reason would she search out where I am getting counseling other than a distorted self-image that craves control and power? If you or a loved one is suffering from a personality disorder, then steer clear of this place, especially if you suffer from their emotional and psychological abuse. This place is filled with enablers.

I have had experience with 3 of the counselors at 180 counseling in the Smithfield and Garner offices. They are great. My daughter was counseled by one of the ladies and they had a great way of integrating the counseling skills into "games". My daughter thought she was going to visit a friend instead of going to get counseling. I have seen 2 different counselors there over the years and they are both GREAT!!! They have a great personality and a passion for helping others make their lives better. I would recommend them to anyone. There are multiple counselors here so if you don't get along well with one of them it is very likely that another counselor would fit well with you.

Erin McDaniel

I am highly impressed by 180 counseling! I have never met more professional, experienced, or caring therapists. If you find yourself in need of their services, this is definitely the place to go.

Hannah Nealey

I refer many patients to 180 and they all come back to me saying how great their experience was. They are all top notch there.
