It saddens me to say that I agree with the previous respondents sentiments (Mr. Slay) regarding Ms. Okafor. She erroneously and incorrectly told my fiancée that my insurance does not cover couples counseling. As such, she advised that she and I would have to pay out of pocket should our sessions extend beyond those that were allotted by my employers EAP Program. I had to consequently ensure my fiancée and Ms. Okafor that my insurance does indeed provide coverage for couples counseling as I had used it in the past. What's more, I am well versed in my policy coverages given that I have had the exact same policy for 10 years. Ms. Okafor displayed an extremely negative, fallacious, narrow minded, callous, accusatory, and condeming attitude during the course of the session. As a case in point, she spent more time talking during the course of our session than we did. What's more, she repeatedly interrupted us as without apology as we attempted to convey our thoughts and sentiments as to why we were there and sought her counsel. My belief is that Ms. Okafor's underlying sentiment was more or less to see us part as opposed to helping us navigate through and overcome our issues. With all of that being said, I would encourage any and all of my fellow colleagues to steer clear of Ms. Okafor's practice as you will walk away feeling worse about your relationship.

Not very professional. Seems to become too emotionally involved in your problems instead of remaining emotionally neutral so that she can actually perform as a "therapist". Very opinionated.

Ms Ravita is really great...shes a very good listener and gives very good advice. I am very thankful I was referred to her.

Thankful for the car and concern she has provided my daughter. I am not her patient but when expressing concerns die my daughter she always aid in giving me a peace of mind that helps calm my fears. I have never had an unprofessional experience when communicating with her.

Absolutely horrible! She was referred by the city, so had a preview of what my wife and I issues were. Very judgemental attitude, often making faces like she was perturbed, and at the end , with an attitude, suggested someone else help us. We actually felt WORSE after meeting with her, not better. Save yourself the aggravation , and trust that there are better therapist out there.

We are so thankful for Ravita. God has blessed her with an awesome gift to listen and offer guidance. She is not your average cookie cutter counselor/personal coach.

May I say that Ms.Ravita put me in my place once or twice during our sessions. I commend her for how she handled my sometimes, much louder personality compared to my husbands. She allowed both my husband and I to talk and gave us both an opportunity to express ourselves. She was blatant and honest and gave it to us straight.
