I called 5 days in advance to cancel an appointment. I was unable to speak to a staff member after multiple attempts and had to leave a message. Well I never received a follow up call from the office and have no received a bill for a "no show". I called the office and let them know the time and date I called to cancel my appointment and the staff was rude and dismissive. I have yet to hear back from anyone at that office. I would not recommend this office to anyone and will be sharing my experience! We have family who have been going to this office for years but wont anymore!

Excellent place!

Yomi Ross

Well, i have not gone yet, but just by the customer service they provide through the phone, you already gotta know the place sucks. Sara is very rude and unprofessional, she works there and my advice to her is to make herself an appointment for anger management and anxiety.

This place has been the worst thing to ever happen to my girl, I've lost the love of my life to Jessica Carter. Ever since Taylor started coming here they have just thrown medications at her like a dying cancer patient. Go back 18 months and see what all shes been on. She has been prescribed 110 xanax this month. That's her biggest problem. She just had them refilled yesterday and took 7 xanax between 6pm and when I counted them this morning. Last week she took 40+ xanax in 4 days. I'm not even going to mention the pristiq and other meds. I held her 3 days and helped her through withdrawls bc she ran out of her 75 xanax in about a week last month. She quit cold Turkey and was a completely different person for 11 days. Now since the 24th shes been prescribed 110 xanax. She lays around. Shes lost her job and I'm at the end of my rope.. She doesn't have depression, she has addictions and withdrawls that she calls depression when shes out. Crossroads, Jessica, someone, anyone please help her before it's to late.

Crossroads has dramatically improved my life through my physician’s insight and remedy for life’s issues. I travel from Virginia to Greensboro because I feel that strongly about the care and compassion I receive. Thank you to Clay Shugart and the entire team there.

Dr. Jennings is the best!

Nathan Franks

I can only speak for the PA there, clay shubert or something like that. The guy is a very odd indivdual who is extremely disorganzied. He is also a quack who diagnosed me with Marfan syndrome literally 30 seconds after just walking into his office. I had been stable on my meds for 15 plus years and he started questioning EVERYTHING since i was a child. He wanted to discontinue this med and start that one. I gave him another chance at a follow up and be literally questioned everything again! Like it was a new visit!!! He also interrupts you almost everytime you try to talk. COMPLETE waste of time and money. I now know why he was the only one that has spaces in his schedule. I dont know how this man has a job. Unprofessional, disorganized, poor patient interaction, and very very questionable medical Knowledge. I would give 0 stars if i could

Teresa Hurst Dr. Glenn Jennings and Fred May are truly a joy to work with. The others are good and helpful too.

I have been going here about 6 months now and I love it. I have been to other places and never really felt comfortable but with Jessica Carter I feel very comfortable. I don’t dread going to the doctor I actually like coming here. I would recommend to anyone. Jessica carter is wonderful.

Rude and unprofessional on the phone. They do not know what they are talking about. Did not get back to me in a timely manner and do not care about new clients. DO NOT GO.

Philip Claggett

This office requires a $100 deposit before you are seen, even if your deductible has been met. It took me 7 months and a phone call every other week to receive my refund. Beth in the office was as helpful as she could be. However, the true problem was Cone Health. They had no sense of urgency with the fact they had $100 of my money. I do not understand how a office can require a deposit and not have a more efficient way of distributing refunds.

I do not recommend Dr. Cottle.

NEVER had a problem with insurance . . . not sure what the other person was referring to . . . everything has been upfront and honest. But you do need to do your own homework . . . anyway - been a HUGE help for my child. We were able to work with our doctor to adjust and readjust as needed to get medications right!!! THAT is so important as a parent! Our doctor takes the time to listen to parents AND our child to be sure everything is going well physically and psychologically. A life savor for our child AND our family!!

Clay Shugart is an idiot. I went there for help he made things worse putting me on meds changing meds every time he would do this my insurance made me have prior authorization he didn’t even know what that was I assume, it took him 21/2 weeks to finally get it right by then I had gone through withdrawals and I wasn’t about to start them again. I finally quit going and nobody from that office have called me or anything to see how I was or to see why I quit coming. Worst experience of my life

Kathy Apple

Clay Shugart literally saved my life. After over 10 years of being stuck in a black hole of deep depression and attempted treatments from various doctors, HE was the ONLY person to give me medication to bring me out of it and lead a normal life. Clay thinks outside of the box, and that's what I desperately needed. If he moves away, I will follow him! The office staff are all very helpful and there are two ladies in particular that I enjoy seeing at my visits. This is an A+ facility.

I’ve been seeing Teresa Hurst, PA-C, for over 2 years. Very compassionate doctor, very concerned with my health. Recently started seeing Holly Ingram, LPC, in addition to seeing Teresa. I’m more than pleased with her services as well. Never seems to rush me, always has time to listen and discuss issues I’m having. Would recommend Crossroads and these two professionals to anyone.

Teresa Hurst, PA-C is wonderful. She literally saved my life over 2 years ago.

The best thing my family physician did for me was refer me to Crossroads. I have been seeing two of the therapists there because I suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Both have been great to work with and I always feel better after my sessions. They really care about their patients and they are a Christian based practice, which is very important to me.

More concerned with my insurance and getting a $100 deposit over the phone that is not refundable for 6 to 8 weeks (even though my co pay is $40).

I see a PA there named Teresa Hurst and absolutely love her! She really listens to what you say and you can tell that she genuinely cares about you.

Had initial appointment scheduled for 0800 & told to get there @ 0740 to complete paperwork, etc. We arrive and no one there- wait until 0825 because provider does not show up to work until then. He then calls in my daughter who he knows nothing about as he is reading her chart trying to look at information we brought, does not even attempt to get to know her- talks over her head & is very impersonal. Never apologizes for being late even though we mention how this has started off on the wrong foot. After 15 mins I decide enough because he is not even attempting to interact with her and get my daughter and leave. I think he is more suited to the inpatient side and would not recommend Dr. Jennings to anyone. Just really unprofessional all around.

Ginny Love

I've been seeing Dr. Carey Cottle since 2017. My anxiety was out of control. I was literally physically ill daily. Dr. Cottle was kind, patient, and helped me get to the right dose of SSRI for me. In addition he is very easy to talk to and asks about my life even though he is not a therapist and doesn't have to spend that time with me. The front desk staff are always kind and smiling, Beth in billing/insurance is very knowledgeable and helpful. My only complaint is the one time I saw Gary Shugart, PA, he was extremely disorganized and unprofessional. A person suffering from severe anxiety needs reassurance and calm, not a bundle of all over the place doubtful decision. Honestly, I don't know why he remains a part of this wonderful practice.

Jerri Harrell

Dr. Andy Mitchum is a truly caring, compassionate and devoted psychologist. His calm and reassuring demeanor is one that allows clients to feel at ease while working through difficult issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Andy Mitchum!

Lynette Dillard
