Been with them for 10 years and always was not only were they flexible if date needed to be change but protect all HIPPA information but with appointments there’s not long waits to see a staff member. Very caring staff

My pharmaceutical insurance provider, Southern Scripts, is impossible to deal with. They asked for 1000 different forms, and authorizations, and Drs notes in support of the medications our Drs had prescribed us to the point of ridiculousness. At one point 3 members of my family were being denied daily medications because they were so insane. The young ladies at the reception desk in Manchester were not only kind and considerate, but they took complete control of the situation for me and coordinated their prior authorization dept, with the Drs, and the idiots at Southern Scripts, to make sure we all got what we needed for medications. They went above and beyond and did it with a smile. So would I recommend The Counseling Center in Manchester? Hell yes! Many times over

This place was terrible. Horrible communication. I would call during regular business hours and absolutely no response. I called to cancel my appointment and tell them I’m changing therapists and not only did they not answer the phone, they also did not respond to me with a phone call or email. The therapist I saw was great for the first meeting only. The second meeting made me feel like she didn’t even glance at her notes from last session before meeting with me. She forgot about major things and when I told her personal things, she would only respond with “wow” or “okay”. It was like talking to a brick wall which I can do for free at home. Awful practice. Don’t go here if you can avoid it.

I've seen several psychiatrists and psychologists in Manchester, Nashua and Peterborough and have only had one somewhat negative experience. In all other cases, the doctors and therapists have been attentive and highly professional. I have recommended them to a family member, so I obviously believe that they are exceptional. My current psychiatrist nurse practitioner is outstanding

I called during regular business hours NOT during they’re lunch either, called for 22 mins straight for intake and not one person will answer the phone EVER! , not the first time either and called both manchester and nashua office literally one after the other. Besides that they”re ok.

UPDATE: Jan. 19, 2017 I'm revising my review and increasing the star rating based on responses from The Counseling Center. After an email complaint and my review here, I received prompt response back from Rebecca @ TCON, who was very professional and showed genuine concern over correcting their issues with the prior authorization department. She expeditiously worked to resolve my issue, and also laid out what their corrective plan was in very plain terms, all of which was greatly appreciated. I have to say that her responsiveness was excellent and has restored my faith in the practice. Like I said at the outset, all of the doctors I've worked with there have been wonderful, and if they get these more administrative issues fixed, they are a top-notch practice in my mind. ---------------------- All of the doctors here have been wonderful - this review is not about them. However, their "prior authorization" department who handles sending prescription prior authorizations to insurance is absolutely terrible. They are completely unreachable by phone and never respond to voice mail. I have had to pay out of pocket for prescriptions because they can't seem to process prior authorization requests in a timely manner, and have spend waaaaayyy too much time on the phone leaving messages, calling my insurance to see if they've submitted anything, etc. I *hope* someone at that office is reading these reviews, because I've complained about the issue numerous times to numerous people there, and yet nothing seems to change. It's a real disappointment for an otherwise very nice practice.

I am so thankful to have found a practice that is focused on providing the best care for their clients. My provider is empathetic, patient, and caters sessions to my needs. They figured out about an hour before my first appointment that they don't accept my insurance after all. I had been recieving tons of robo calls to remind me of the appointment over the week and a half since I first scheduled it, only for them to find out at 8:45am on the day of my 10am appointment that they do not in fact accept my insurance. That should have come up in my original conversation with the intake department when I provided my insurance, or else at some point sooner than today. Thankfully I didn't have to pay any late cancellation fees, but I found this grossly incompetent and incredibly frustrating. I'm trying to find help and all I got here without even stepping foot in the place is anxiety and defeat.
