I've seen two different people at Riverbend over the years. They were okay; however, I can't tolerate one of the admin people anymore. Her rudeness and condescending attitude have upset me too many times and I am going to take my business elsewhere. I would suggest you do the same. Thankfully I am well enough, but I worry for those who might be looking for a counselor who aren't. For a mental health service to have someone so full of malice at the phone seems to border on malpractice.

They expect you to work with children who have zero life experience, talk to them, open up to them as if they have any clue of what you are going through. They are always short staffed and probably employ the lowest ranking graduates.

Their benefit staff is absolutely ridiculous. Youd be better off struggling to get benefits on your own. Dont bother signing over your NH easy to them because then it's essentially useless and you're in the complete dark about everything.

This place has some sort of monopoly for what they do in concord, and they know it. I got more help in 1 month after leaving that nightmare, than I did for over a year dealing with their crap. Took almost a month to actually see someone, then another 2 months after they handed out a handful of pills (which I still don't understand why they put me on them) then... I got to see someone who thought I needed to go up on everything even after telling them I felt worse. Honestly if you have a choice, take the OTHER option!! Overall; they're mostly uncaring, over capacity (they don't care cuz they get paid for your anguish) and incompetent... If you're reading this... Good luck

The admin staff is not trained effectively. Communication is poor, and the admissions staff was defensive about the fact that I had to call back twice due to miscommunication. The second time I actually went to a scheduled appointment at the address listed on the website--also where I had received counseling earlier this year--only to find out they had moved. When I called admissions, their reaction was to blame me for not knowing their location had changed. While the responsibility for effective communication of major changes like that falls on the business more than its customers, I don't really care who's at fault. I just needed help. Instead I got humiliation and blame. Customer service always requires patience and good social skills, but that is especially true of a place that's specifically dealing with people whose mental health is already poor.

There was a tharepist that was very out of bounds and pill pusher as far as I care they can burn to the ground they made more of my trama then my past did i truly give it 0 stars because of that tharepist

I lost my insurance because Riverbend failed to send paperwork to the state when requested. I attempted to address this twice with my case manager and once with their benefits coordinator, and received no help. received a bill and, when I asked about it, was told there was an issue with their billing system. Trusting my case manager (like an idiot) I went to several more appointments at her insistence. I received another bill two months later and, when I asked about it, was told their billing system was having issues. Well, it must be working now, because I'm told the $1500 bill I received is accurate because I didn't have insurance at the time. Insurance I lost because of their incompetence and tried to get back. Riverbend is a great place to go if you want a bunch of incompetent morons to screw you over. Otherwise, steer clear.
