My son had very very bad anger outbursts to the point I thought I was a bad parent and there was no hope. I went to see Dr zedek and was very iffy about having my son on medication, after a few months of finding the right dose. I have a kid that iusnt breaking things and hitting, his teacher says he is day and night!! And we are even in counseling too! Give me a great Relief that my son is back to his normal self!!!

Dr. Zedek knows what he's doing with the medication combinations he prescribes, pinpointing what you need for what you're experiencing. Knowledgeable and shares his knowledge. He even has a great coupling with therapy within his office as needed. I'm feeling much better on what he's prescribed and the therapist whom he assigned me with. Really grateful I've come across him and the great therapist Alba when I did. Great psychiatrist.

Edit: We have been going to Dr. Zedek for awhile now. At first, we were always seen fairly quickly. A few times lately, we have been at least 45 minutes waiting in the waiting room. I have other children and when I anticipate a certain time limit, it is difficult for them, me and others in the waiting room to deal with lengthy waits. Also, we were told we would be dropped as patients if we did not make an appt for every month because he had many other patients now to keep him busy. Just giving our experience for those who want to shop around for doctors to see who may be right for them and their family members. (*****The review that I submitted below was done after the office staff asked if I would write one since I said we were happy with this new medication, which means they KNEW I would write a positive review...I am unsure if they would ask all of their patients the same thing...it seemed a little contrived and bias for their benefit by screening who they ask to write a review. Then, they brought me into one of the waiting rooms and gave me a laptop to sign into my google account and write the review right there in their office before I left. That is how the below review was created). FYI. I have tried multiple doctors and medications. Until now, I was not able to find a solid solution for my son. Dr. Zedek prescribed a medication that has increased my son’s quality of living and as a Mom, there is not much greater blessing than that. I have already told my friend about the success I found with Dr. Zedek.

I was afraid I'd social interaction. Since seeing Dr Zedek, it's been life changing. I've become outgoing, confident, less panic attacks and episodes. I even got a promotion at work. I have seen Dr Zedek and he is one of those Dr.s that won’t let you finish what your saying because he already knows the answer. At least he believes he does. How can he give me meds when I haven’t said anything yet??

I have to be really honest. This is the worst psychiatrist I've ever known in my 10 years of going to them. Here are some facts; between my first visit in December 2016 to June 2017 I lost 33 pounds without trying and he didn't even notice even though I was weighed on his scales. I was on a drug called Seroquel. By May of 2017 I had already suffered 3 blackouts the required hospitalization. In both May and June, I asked him to take me off that drug and he kept telling me to give it another month. In July I suffered my 4th blackout and was admitted into a mental hospital where they switched it from Seroquel to Depakote. They also eliminated another drug from my Arsenal. Unfortunately, Seroquel wasn't out of my system yet and I had my fifth black out two weeks later and this time I broke bones in my face knocked out a tooth and chipped a tooth. 8 days of rehab and back to his office in September and told him of the drug changes and he got upset with me that I didn't show up in July or August. How can I make my appointments when I just spent the last two hospital visits totaling 13 days. The kicker to the story is my anxiety was struggling because Seroquel has a sedation affect and he told me he couldn't do anything for me but if I wanted he would put me back on Seroquel. I told him at that point that I would get another psychiatrist and after a moment of silence it says to me don't worry I'm not mad at you. Wow! I was warned by a few nurses that had relatives that had gone to him and did they end up being so right. I have now found a new psychiatrist by April of 2018 I have shown remarkable Improvement. In my eyes, this is not a psychiatrist but a insurance billing machine. There's more but if you haven't got it by now you're not going to get it. Thanks

In addition to Dr Zedek being one of the kindest and genuinely concerned physicians I have ever seen, and I’ve been seeing a therapist for 15 years before switching to this facility. The office staff is the friendliest and most efficient I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The wait time is the lobby is never more that 2-3 minutes. Payments are priced quickly and appointments are scheduled with zero problems. The girls at the front take my call directly should I be running a little late and I’ve never reached an automated system. I truly believe seeing Dr Zedek has changed my life forever and I highly recommend giving therapy a try if you feel like you or a loved one needs a little help.

This place is absolutely garbage, I went here waiting two weeks for my scheduled appointment, I was so excited to get some help, to get my life moving in the right direction, just to get kicked out while I was filling out my paper work in front of the entire lobby, it was embarrassing and it caused me so much stress, all because their two staff members up front made a mistake with my insurance! Absolutely pathetic! I thought that the ratings of this place would reflect on my experience, not even close! This was by far the biggest let down that I’ve ever had! I suffered from severe depression, bipolar and anxiety for years. I let it go on untreated till it reached a boiling point. I felt as if I was losing my mind. My family suffered because of my out bursts and manic personality. I finally decided it was time to seek help. It took me about a month to finally settle on a Doctor that I felt comfortable with. The first time I saw Dr. Zedek he took the time to figure out what I was suffering from and was able to diagnosis me with the above mentioned. We figured out a game plan together that I was comfortable with. It did take some time and patience but after 6 months I feel like a totally different person. I am now able to control my emotions and mania. In 6 short months I have felt better then the last 15 years. I cant thank Dr. Zedek enough for what he has done for me. I truly wish there were words to describe my appreciation for Doctor. Thanks Dr Zedek, you have literally been a life saver.

Every aspect of thinking about my day was simply trying to strategize what the fastest way to get back to sleep would be. I felt like I was a shell.l that simply resembled a human being. A shell that was on “autopilot” to mimic what I felt like a “functioning” person looked like and what they did. I was so utterly depressed and desolate that I didn’t know if true happiness even existed, or if the people that looked happy..were just fakers like myself simply putting on a more convincing charade. When I saw Dr. Zedek...I told him what I had been hiding for so long. I teared up with a mixture of relief and hope when he told me he could help me..that he had seen my situation before and that he had a plan. I have been seeing him for a while now..and I can say that I have a life again..I have hopes and dreams and I get excited about the day ahead of me. Everyone I know can tell something’s different..they can’t put their finger on it..but they can tell. I can’t thank Dr. Zedek enough. For being so knowledgeable..for listening to me..for everything. I now have the medicine and prescription's that are allowing me to succeed at work and deal with your every day struggles in life. I highly recommend Dr. Zedek. Do not go to this office. They are not professional. After calling discuss and verifying my insurance i was guven an appointment 3 weeks away. When i finally come to the office i waited to be told they dont take my insurance. This is something they should have known before i came. And the staff is not friendly.

I would recommend Dr. Zedek to anyone looking for a doctor who genuinely cares about thier mental health. Finding a doctor can be difficult and time consuming. I came here after a year and a half at another doctor who didn’t really make any effort to help me and charged me 10x as much. If your struggling to find someone give Dr. zedek a try, I’m feeling optimistic for the first time in a long time. The Dr is also very respectful of your time and his staff is the so friendly and welcoming. They are always smiling, helpful and kind.

While I was trepidatious for specifically seeking a chemical solution for my troubles, I found Dr. Zedek tremendously helpful in determining the best way to handle it and monitoring it. While the appointments were quick, my situation was unique to me, just like anyone else. I'm in a much better place and in my impression, Dr. Zedek does good work, though aside from my specific condition which is a speciality of his, I can see his expertise with children. I coulda used him when I was a kid.

This Dr. is a joke! If he can't get you on controlled drugs he doesn't want you. Made an appointment weeks before I ran out of meds, was ask over the phone about my past med history. Everything was fine. Day of appointment down to last pill! He looks at my diagnosis and Med history and sent his receptionist to let me know he is not comfortable seeing me! I have been one one pill to control my Bipolar type 1 for over ten years without the use of anything different and have been doing just fine! This man is an insult to psychiatry. He just wants to have you walking around like a zombie. And the only reason I went was because I met him once when I had to have my son seen few years ago and thought I would give him a shot again. Should have stuck to my first mind about him when I took my son he is dumb as a duck.

If I could give them no stars, I would. I had JUST been diagnosed, had a week's worth of meds to "try it out" when my insurance changed. Instead of giving me a few more weeks worth of medicine to tie me over, they left me with nothing ! I'm pretty sure that's illegal. This doctor is nothing more than a pill pusher. He will do everything to get that money from your insurance company. I recently was a patient of his and I was preparing to move out of state. I informed him the date that would be my last appointment, but in order to get a 3 month supply of my meds from him he insisted that I come on for another visit the week I was leaving (as if I needed the extra stress of making time to get in to see him) which was only 2 weeks after my last appointment just so he could squeeze one more visit out to collect from my Medicare/ Medicaid. He gave me a note so I could have an emotional support animal at one point but now will not fill out a document that my new landlord needs to go with what he already gave me. I guess once the money stops coming in he is completely done with you, even if its for follow up document's. Let me just add that he comes into work wearing sweatpants and tshirt like a real professional.

Dr. Zedek, with compassion and unbelievable accuracy diagnosed my condition and started me on a treatment plan, including medication AND comprehensive counseling with Amy. Okay, so I never write reviews. But I felt obligated to do so in this case. IF YOU REALLY NEED HELP like I did, please read this. When I first saw Dr. Zedek he diagnosed me with Bipolar within 10 minutes of talking to me. Honestly, I was in such a bad place that I didn't question his diagnosis. As the months went by I continued to excuse his blatant apathy and rudeness. I drove over an hour for every appointment and he spent, at most, 5 minutes with me. Seriously. He basically prescribes meds like candy, knowing that people will come back for more (and maybe that's why so many people go to him). He isn't concerned about really trying to help you. His answer to everything is more medication. People go back to his office for a few minutes and come out with their little prescription slips like clockwork. I knew something was off, but I just kept going. When you are hurting and just trying to survive each day, it's easy to ignore what's happening around you. What I didn't realize at the time was that Dr. Zedek was slowly making things worse for me. He kept prescribing Xanax. Every month I got 30 pills. For 6 or 7 months. He even mentioned at one point that "technically" he wasn't supposed to prescribe so many for so long, but he did it anyway, and because the pills made everything better and easier, and because he kept prescribing them, I thought it was okay to take the pills on a daily basis. I became dependent on them. Now I'm trying to come off this med and it's hell. The first thing my new psychiatrist said was I needed to get off Xanax. It's not a long term solution. Most of the time, people are only given enough for 1 or 2 weeks. Some people might say it's my fault for taking the pills. Afterall, he didn't force my hand. But it's like pain meds - you take them to stop the pain. So why wouldn't you take them if they make you feel better and are readily available? When you're in the middle of a full-on panic attack, more than likely you're going to want to reach for those pills. At least I did. Anyway, if none of what I said is enough to keep you away from this doctor, please listen to this: On one of my last visits Dr. Zedek asked me to write a review...like right there in his office. Of course, I didn't have to, but I felt almost pressured to do it. It was an awkward moment and very inappropriate, and everyone in that room knew it (Dr. Zedek, his nurse, and myself). He had his nurse take me to another room and I overheard him tell her to "write it up as vitals". Once I was in the room the nurse instructed me on how to leave a review and at which site to do so (I wish I remembered the site, it wasn't Yelp, but like I said I don't ever write reviews). Before she left the room she said I could write anything I wanted, but we all knew why I was in that room AND now I know why Dr. Zedek has so many great reviews. Look, I could have put my foot down at any point and said this was wrong. And I regret writing a positive review for him, and I'll keep looking until I find that review so that I can correct my mistake, but I was vulnerable at the time. And it's easy to be manipulated when you're in a fragile state-of-mind. On my last visit, when I finally realized this guy could care less about me, he reprimanded me for rescheduling an appointment, which I did weeks in advance. It was the only time in all the months I'd been seeing him that I had to come in a little over the 30 day time frame he likes to see you in (and I had extra pills to last me so I didn't think it was a problem). He flat out told me if I did it again he would stop seeing me... just like that. I felt so insignificant in that moment... I went to Zedek because he had all these great reviews. I was wrong. Now I know I can't always trust reviews, and it was a hard lesson to learn. There are other great doctors out there. They might not have 200 reviews, most of which questionably positive, but they are out there and they actually care and want to help you reach a healthy place in your life without being dopped up all the time. P.S. I'm not Bipolar :)
