Left after waiting 30 minutes. No acknowledgment even though workers walking about. Decided to leave. If this place is supposed to help with organizing skills, I think I don’t want my child learning their techniques.

United Psychological Services Experience: I was "discharged" from the practice and not allowed back for non- compliance or not maintaining regular appointments. First of all I inquired about counseling. I have insurance but the deductibles are 5k meaning I have to pay 5k out of pocket until I hit that. Therapy and regular meetings would of cost me hundreds of dollars per session. Like I have 200 every time I come in!? who has that kind of money. They do not accept payment plans or a sliding scale. They do not work with you AT ALL. Its a sad day when you cant get help due to inability to pay. So AFTER signing all paperwork stating Id come for regular visits I found all this out. I was honest and told the receptionist to shred my contracts as I cannot afford what it would cost to come here. I was told "there are credit cards you know, we accept those" oh okay lets get hundreds in credit card debt at your facility... I think not. What happened was I found someone who cared about me and works on a sliding scale. I found someone who is affordable and money isn't the #1 concern. But its nice to know I'm not welcome back, I will have to let my friends know so they don't go here and waste their time.

The entire staff has been amazing to work with and really went above and beyond with scheduling and especially being mindful of insurance ! Dr. Fisher is brilliant and has built an amazing team. I can’t wait to see what the future brings!

If their office tells you they will not release copies of your own medical records because you have a balance due on your account, they are breaking the law! The department of health and human services can help put a stop to this unlawful practice that dr. Fisher seems to think is just fine. Its not you are untitled to all medical records no matter if you owe them money or not!

I had my children here for a few sessions I was not impressed at all. They were completely unorganized and my children didn't like the woman they were meeting with. I found out after the fact that she actually only had a certificate and was not able to speak to children without supervision. The older guy that works there who I believe is also supposed to be a counselor of some kind is way out of line. I'm not sure what generation he's from but his thoughts and philosophies belong back in the 1970's with his attire. I would make appointments and then they would be cancelled or I would call to speak to someone and they would never call me back. Very unprofessional and unorganized. When my children first started there I originally spoke to Barbara and she seemed fine but my opinion certainly changed after meeting the remainder of the crew. Too many options to settle...

I cannot highly enough recommend United Psychological Services, and I consider myself to be forever indebted to the care and support that I have received by their entire staff. The UPS Team is zealous in their multi-faceted approach to improving your whole well-being. They have helped me understand the mental complexes that have been ingrained in my psyche and are committed to seeing their patients break free of them. Truly understanding the mind-body connection, they have provided practical guidance to the proper disciplines and habits needed to grow physically, mentally, and emotionally. They offer modern scientific techniques and programs to create higher attention and memory skills, such as Interactive Metronome Therapy. Without a doubt, I am a more mature, healthier, and confident man because of UPS. They are not only inspiring, passionate professionals in their own right but help you see the best version of yourself and work with you in your journey to become that person. I implore you to have the courage to walk through their door and begin seeking the mental health and well-being that you hope for within yourself. You will not regret it!

The staff here are completely unprofessional and unorganized. The front desk girls were rude and couldn't seem to figure out what was going on around them. There are way to many options available out there to put up with what's going on in this facility.

One star is too much for this place. Rudest staff I’ve ever seen. They make mistakes and don’t admit it and don’t fix it. Waste of time and resources. Did nothing but make my situation worse for me. If you want to get better DO NOT go anywhere near this place!

Best doctors around. Leigh, Lisa and Dr. Fischer are amazing and caring. If you feel like Your current doctor isn't cutting it I highly recommend UPS. They really are the best around.

United Psychological Services is such an incredible wealth of information on everything from ADD / ADHD, to Autism Spectrum, Asperger's, Traumatic Brain Injury, Pediatric Brain Injury, Sports Related Brain Injury there's a great section on Learning and Reading Problems/Kindergarten Readiness for parents. You also do a wonderful job covering Dementia and Alzheimer's, basic Memory Loss, Post traumatic Stress Disorder including Insomnia and other Sleep Disorders. Total waste of time and money. Diagnosed me as bi-polar based on what they called "mood swings"... Read the DSM-V ladies... That's not what bi-polar is (((mania and depressive episodes last at least 4 days...and for that I should be the one charging YOU))) I'm not a doctor but I'm pretty sure you can't make a mental illness diagnosis from my interpretations of ink blots. This place is a SCAM!!

This facility actually frightened me. They have one "Dr." in particular an older man that claims to be a family/divorce counselor. He's very chauvinistic, most likely because of his age and the fact that he has been divorced at least twice and sued all within the last ten years, public knowledge you can look it up on the Macomb county website. These events may have put him on the defense with woman. If you are a man go for it but it you are a woman I would suggest choosing another facility.

I completed adult AD/HD testing here and was very impressed with both the thoroughness of the test and Dr. Fischer’s discussion of results. I gained a lot of insights about how the AD/HD brain functions, and I’m very interested in learning more about non-medication based therapies available here. It was nice to understand the way the brain works instead of just being told—“you’re ADD. Take your pills.” The office staff was very friendly and seemed organized to me. I’m looking forward to trying out the non-medication based treatments to increase attention/focus and decrease fatigue. If you have adult ADD, then you know all about the fatigue that comes with this stuff. I left my test results discussion feeling very hopeful. I will report back as I continue the program. After numerous discussions about my medication not being reliable enough my psychiatrist still did not change my dosage. I have chosen to switch psychiatrists. Best of luck in your mental health care if you are a patient at UPS.

This place is horrible! A good doctor should be able to catch on to someone who is trying to get medication for ADD. If a patient gets all the answers right on the a ADD test, the doctor should put the pieces together that this person is lying about the symptoms. Anyone could walk in there and get prescribed for anything.

Everyone has been very helpful and professional. My son really likes his therapist and she is wonderful about keeping me up to date. They are also great about letting you know when there is a cancellation in case you want to come in early.
