Have to say that this institution is interested in one solitary thing: Money.
That might seem obvious, since we all do what we do to make a living. However, people that offer to help you with complex and sensitive emotional and mental issues need to be doing so for more than just a simple transfer of funds. Someone very close to me had an appointment that I drove them to myself. It was their first appointment at this place and unfortunately we had to head there in the pouring rain and this place is not the easiest to find. Luckily we did reach the office with 15 minutes to spare. We called to find out which entrance to use and how to check in. There was no one to answer the phones. We entered the facility and found it abandoned. No one in the lobby, no one in the offices(we did call out), and no sign of any type of security even. We left after calling several more times to no avail. Days later we received a call informing us that we would indeed be charged for the appointment because we had not shown up. We corrected them and said that we would not be returning to try again as this experience certainly did not instill the slightest bit of confidence. We have since received the same bill attempting to charge for the appointment and it really doesn't matter how many times we explain the actual event to however many people.
Do not make our same mistake and seek counseling elsewhere.
