My experience with Oakland has been nothing short of life changing in a positive way. I went from being so scared and an anxious mess to being more open than I thought possible to my therapist Noel. I have recommended them to family, who now receives care from the center and a friend who will being going to her first session soon. Yes Dr. vora can be straight to the point and it took me the first time to get it as well. He is not there to counsel. He is there to treat your symptoms and help guide with the right treatment(s) to get better and find more quality in life and mental health. I'm a different, more whole person now than the first day I walked in this center. I'm forever grateful and so are the people who have to live and work with me. LOL

I was considering this place for therapy until I researched the reviewer's! If you click on the names of the vast majority of 5 star reviews, you will notice that only Michigan review was for this place. They get paid to leave great reviews for businesses. Recommend that anyone research the person leaving the review. Stay away from companies who pay for great reviews. No reviews are better than fake ones!!!!!!!!!

Let me start by saying everything here is fine so long as you don't ever need to see the doctor. The therapist I had I like very much and the staff wasn't ever the problem. Dr. Vora is not fit for a business that involves helping mentally ill people. I left my appointment with him feeling worse than I have in weeks. I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor before. From the moment I walked through his door all he did was degrade me and twist my words to make me sound like someone just trying to get pills or something. He twisted my words to say I don't take care of my child. He talked down to me the whole time and when I asked him if I was wasting my time he said yes he isn't willing to help me because I use marijuana with a medical card. I asked if he even knows anything about medical marijuana and he said "no I don't and I don't need to" uhh yes you do. How can you claim to be a professional if you don't know ANYTHING about a medicine very commonly used in your state. He would not listen to a word I said because of his completely ignorant predisposition. He was so arrogant and he will not be receiving a single dime for this TRAUMATIZING psychiatrist appointmemt. Dr.vora is the most pompous, condescending so called Doctor I've ever had the extreme displeasure of meeting. Anyone feeling scared to reach out should steer clear of the doctor here. The therapists deserve a better doctor. They get 2 stars because my therapist was great.

I really like the staff and my therapist Danika is awesome, but I absolutely dislike Dr. Vora. Avoid the Doctor at all cost. Google him and read his reviews on Google. Anyway! they are quick and use text messages to remind you. small place but whatever. I like it better than hill side center.

Warning, i do not recommend treatment here. You will get to see the Dr for 5 minutes a month, and lab rat you with medications. He is very quick to make a diagnosis without trying to find and underlying cause .if you are unable to feel better or respond to meds, he will tell you to find a different dr. This Dr refers to patients as "clients" and upon being discharged, he tells his staff to close the case. You will not be helped here, being only seen as a client and a walking money bag.
