I've never even imagined being so comfortable in a mental health setting before; I am so unimaginably thankful! I've been in many different mental health clinics and private practices. It is blessing this group accepts Masshealth patients , many in the area don't! Great healthcare for our community!

My psychiatrist is the best I could have ever imagined having. I feel comfortable and cared about. The receptionists are usually easy to talk to.

Absolutely refused to allow phone or email interviews with potential therapists. They require you to book an appointment and effectively pay to interview. This makes it incredibly costly to shop around other providers for someome who is the best fit and shows complete disregard for patients time and judgement. They are very clear that their money and ability to screen people is more important than yours. It's clear from reading other reviews that even after intake, the Dana Group continues to be inflexible and impersonal when dealing with the people it "serves."

Writing this in hopes that people who read this can STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. By far the worst practice I’ve been to these people are FAR from even being called professionals. Had a therapist for a year there and you think they’d know some of my triggers by now but instead does things by surprise to get me triggered (tried to make me sign a contract that we never discussed even doing before threatening that I could be terminated if I didn’t sign it), and was also surprised that I had gotten so heated. Stupidly, I signed it and eventually left the place to go home where my therapist asks if I’ll be back and I said I would think about it. I sent them an email, no response. Tried to make an appointment, receptionist said I couldn’t make an appointment without certain authorization (never happened in the year I was there making appointments). Little did I know that it was cause they terminated me, but of course the only way that these super smart, 100% professionals could tell me I got terminated as a client was to not tell me at all and just let my mom know! I’m 19 meaning you guys are very capable of talking to me rather than my parents. Not only am I terminated as a client of theirs, but I was also told I can’t return to their practice at all! Jokes on them I can already feel my depression lifting the longer I’m not in the vicinity of their terrible practice. Also had more poor experiences w other therapists there. So yea, I give this place and the people there a solid

Bottom line...don't go here. Poor communication to their own providers and to the patients, providers that don't have a clue, took forever to make a call to appeal an insurance decision, its just been a nightmare "working" with these people from the beginning. They haven't done any of the work, I have to do it for them. Absolute worst place to go!

The receptionist here is the nicest guy I’ve ever spoken to. He’s really helpful.

I am quite astounded thet Dana Group has so many bad reviews, because I never had a bad experience there. Dana Group was recommended to me by my PCP, who has wonderful feedback from other patients she referred to them. Also my 2 kids receive services there , everyone have been nothing but respectful, professional and very attentive when it comes to my care and my kids care. I would highly recommend this practice to everyone .

This place is wonderful!! I’ve always had bad experiences with doctors, so this is a breath of fresh air. I trust them. Everyone I’ve met there so far is incredibly caring and sweet! They all speak softly and genuinely, like every one of them. The receptionist in the main building is very helpful and her smile is contagious. She’s equally as pleasant over the phone as she is in person. I also met with a psychiatrist, who’s name I can’t remember, but she did a great job listening to me and gave me the perfect low-dose medication that has changed my life for the better! Yesterday I met another psychiatrist named Mike who squeezed me in last minute before closing. He might be the nicest guy I’ve ever spoken to! Incredibly understanding and comforting. My therapist is Carolyn O’Connor and I feel like she was meant for me. She actually understands how to help me and is super encouraging and sweet! All of their little rooms are clean, small, and really cozy. The waiting room has lots of relaxing stuff for kids and they’re so cool I always want to play with them myself. I appreciate this place and everything they’ve already done for me, thank you!!

Regardless of my distance from Dana Group I consider it to have a solid reputation. I also consider the care is quite good. The staff seems caring and it is easy to navigate what is offered. Overall all services I have received felt accessible. It is very welcoming environment.

do not like the "professionals" that work here. I was a fairly new patient since im new to the area and i really regret the time i spent with this office. It was impossible to get an appointment with the same person each time and they all had different ways in which they wanted to treat my depression and ADHD. Before moving to this area i was on a very typical medication program but certain people (not even doctors) at this office refused to give me prescriptions longer than 15 days and then refused to provide prescriptions for simple depression meds that i have been on for years as my records show!!!! I had been called a liar by a mental health professional and that is unacceptable. My previous doctor even tried contacting them on my behalf with no success. I then peacefully emailed them my concerns and how dissatisfied i was with them and they removed me as a patient. Again with no way to treat my mental disabilities. i am just an average person with slight disabilities like most people but they treated me like a liar and abuser which is so far from the truth. Now i trying to start a new career in a new place without the meds i need on a daily basis. be smart and avoid these people.they just wanted me to come very 15 days so they could get paid and thought they knew best before even listening to my situation. Avoid them!

*THIS REVIEW IS NOT ON MY THERAPIST BUT THE COMPANY* This would have been a 3.5 star. I will try to keep this short: I started going to Dana Group Associates in April of 2017. Last night my therapist said she had to go over something with me that was between Dana and me (not her) she said I had to sign an attendance sheet and if I were to call same day cancelation my relationship with Dana would be terminated. (I had called same day cancelation twice in a month and a half) I get that business is business but 1. I have state insurance who they bill ahead of time. (They already got paid for 12 sessions) 2. In a year and a half of going to Dana - I've called same day cancelation 4 times total. And the other two were a while ago. 3. I'm a single mother, who works full time and trying to get my life together. 4. My daughter goes to therapy at DGA as well. (Not anymore) I have never in my life EVER felt so unsupported by a company who I've supported for a year and a half. A relationship that is now destroyed because...LIFE HAPPENS.
