I enjoy seeing Isabella at the front desk, she always seems happy. Love Andrea Plauche, she has done wonders for my boys.

This place is a joke. I suffer from anxiety and need a prescription to keep it under control. I recently moved here from Lafayette, LA where I saw someone just like this place. I saw Donna here by the way. After asking if they would proscribe my medicine before wasting my time and theirs they said oh yes. So I see Donna and explain my condition and she does nothing but ask a few questions and starts telling me that I shouldn’t be on this medication blah blah blah. I explained to her all the issues that have happened to me in my life over the past couple years and she finally agrees to proscribe my medicine. Ya well that turned out to be a LIE to get me to shut up. She never called it in to the pharmacy like she said. I have called MULTIPLE times with no call back. So I showed up there today and get nothing but the run around and still no help. Now I’m stuck without my medicine and my anxiety is through the roof. Stay away from this place FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO GO!!! I have never experienced such unprofessionalism from a doctors office!!!

For everyone complaining please go visit Gov't Street for services and then compare. I'll take this any day hands down!

I was referred to the Post Trauma Institute through Veterans Affairs in hopes of getting better, more efficient care than the VA can offer. After waiting nearly 8 weeks for my appointment, I show up and was told that my appointment was never even added to the schedule. If your mental health is important to you, maybe seek help elsewhere because it clearly isn't important to them.

The doctors and staff are the best. They are always very polite and kind.

Caring staff. Patient, understanding, and willing to meet you where you are in your life.

They don't seem to answer their phone to be able to make an appointment. I call during business hours and no one answers.

Aweful!!!!!!!!! Did not want to give any stars but wouldn't let me post until i hit a star button. Went there to get some medicine to help my son get some sleep. Because the medicine that he was currently prescribed by another doctor was keeping him up at night. Almost 5 nights without sleep. . In Her office she had a machine on her floor that was making a very loud noise. So loud that she could not hear most of my son's responses. Tried telling her the reason he was slow to repond and seemed confused was because lack of sleep. She said no that he was psychotic and sent him to the our lady of the lake hospital. Now he is in allen parish hospital. Over 2 and half hours from where we live. So now I'm in a hotel room in allen parish so I can visit him. Spending money that was going to be used for christmas. On an unnecessary hospital stay. The hospital has him on no medicine for psychotic disorders. Why you ask ??? cuz he is not psychotic. He was given medicine to help him sleep. Sometimes doctors need to listen to family cuz they are the ones who spend every day with them. And we know their actions. . Not someone who just seeing them once for about 30 minutes to an hour. Or whatever. Very disappointed. That just cuz a doctor has a degree that they think they know it all. He called me the next morning after getting much needed sleep. And was Talking just fine. And when i finally was able to make it to the hospital. He smiled and gave me a big hug. Christmas is being postponed til he is home. Money will be very tight but still plan on having a merry Christmas. And when he does come home he will not be going back to the Post Trauma Institute. Will find a doctor that is willing to listen.

I've been going to PTI for years now. I'll admit when I first went I did have issues; I originally saw a psychologist AND psychiatrist. The psychologist I had seen did more damage than good, but has since left the place and is no longer a concern to anyone who might visit. Andrea Plauche is a wonderful psychiatrist and has been tending to me for years now. It's been a long road getting my mental health in check medicine wise, but she's always been very patient with me and understanding. She takes genuine interest in me and remembers things about me; even though her job is to just prescribe medicine and monitor that side of things. She goes above and beyond her work and I truly appreciate her. I've seen Dr. Person only once, but it was an extremely positive experience. She is wonderful and I'm glad to have met her. Admittedly it is sometimes hard to get into contact and the phone will ring and ring and ring before someone picks up, but as long as you're persistent it all works out in the end. The staff has also been very understanding of my financial issues and happy to work with me in the form of payment plans. Front desk staff is always very friendly and attentive.

I have been seeing Andrea for several years. She is the best! I LOVE the new telemedicine option! I don't have to leave work early for as many appointments anymore. I literally had an appointment thru the app on my phone while sitting on the beach in Puerto Rico this summer! When I do have to come into the office, I am in and out of there in a matter of minutes. It is nice for a medical office to respect my time. Also, being able to schedule appointments and get reminders via text is great for me! I wish every medical office had these options available. I have seen a lot of great changes at PTI since the new management took over. I am looking forward to many more positive experiences! Good job PTI!!

Don't waste your time here! I spent a year trying to get tested and still no results! I got tested for adhd and add a month ago and still no call back. Not to mention it took 6 months to get an appointment! I've tried calling and nobody answers the phone and when I leave a message no one ever calls you back. I've finally got another dr(one that actually calls people back and answers the phone)and will no longer be going here. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

I have been working with Andrea Plauche' and the PTI for over a year now. They have been nothing short of amazing as well as convenient. Andrea listens well, thoroughly asks questions, takes your opinion into consideration regarding your treatment, and is easy to talk to. General PROS: You are not waiting long after checking in (I waited 1 minute today), staff is always friendly, appointments are easy to make, hours convenient, no unexpected surprises with billing. CON: sometimes they take a while to return your calls but everything else makes up for it. I have not had a time yet where this has been an issue. They also just got a new live chat thing where you can conduct your sessions via a FaceTime-like app in a private manner rather than go in every single month for a 5 minute check-in. I have not yet used it so I cannot fully review that.

I WAS REFEREED HERE AUGUST OF 2018 AND IT IS NOW FEBRUARY 2019 AND THE ONLY ADVISE THE NURSE PRACTITIONER GIVES ME IS TO PUT MY CHILD IN AN INSTITUTION. AS A PARENT THAT IS SEEKING AND SEARCHING ANSWERS FROM A PROFESSIONAL WHO HAS GONE TO SCHOOL TO (SO I THOUGHT) HELP THE MENTALLY ILL HER ONLY ANSWER AND SUGGESTION IS TO PUT HIM IN A FULL TIME MENTAL INSTITUTION. SHE LITERALLY ASKED ME WHY I CAME TO HER OFFICE FOR HELP AND TOLD ME THAT SHE COULD NOT HELP MY SON AND WALKED ME TO THE FRONT DESK TO CANCEL THE UPCOMING APPOINTMENT THAT WE HAD WITH HER AND WASHED HER HANDS OF MY SON AS A PATIENT. THE ONLY THING I COULD SAY WAS "YOU'RE RIGHT, YOU CANNOT HELP HIM.' I'M SURE WE WERE BILLED FOR THE VISIT BUT SHE NEVER SAT IN HER SEAT AND SHE NEVER CLOSED HER OFFICE DOOR SO IT WASN'T NOR SHOULD IT HAVE BEEN CONSIDERED AN OFFICE VISIT NOR AN APPOINTMENT. I'M STILL IN SHOCK BY HER WORDS "WHY ARE YOU HERE? I CAN'T HELP HIM!" I KNOW THAT HE IS NOT HELPLESS HE'S JUST NOT BEING TREATED BY THE RIGHT DOCTOR'S THE CARE ENOUGH TO DIAGNOSIS HIM PROPERLY AND TREAT THE REAL DIAGNOSIS.

PTI has been a lifesaver. They really make me feel cared about. I have made so much progress since I started coming here

I was looking for someplace I could get my medication monitored & get therapy for my depression, in particular how I deal with losses in my life. I saw PTI was on my provider list, so I checked it out online. I saw negative reviews but I chalked them up to personal issues. The good reviews were outstanding. I did notice there really were not any in the middle. There was a place on PTI's website to make an appt as a new patient so I tried to make one there. I didn't think it went through but the next day I got an email with papers to fill out. It took me several days to fill them out due to the extensive history I have. I've been depressed since a child & have had therapy & medication on & off since I was 23/24 years old. Also I was very depressed at the time. I finally got the papers filled out but on the papers about privately paying for tests etc the insurance didn't cover, I didn't sign & put a note that I could not afford it. The girl that sent me the papers said that was fine since I'm a Medicaid patient. Anyway, a few days later I got a phone call from Isabella stating that Dr Person thought it would be better if I got treatment elsewhere & referred me to the place on Gov't St. I asked her why did Dr Person do that & she gave me some BS answer in my opinion. She said that Dr Person said something & put on the papers that I might need help through their mobile unit. That is just pure BS in my opinion. I'm 61 years old & there's nothing wrong with my driving & I'm only about a mile & 1/2 from her office. So the real reason is either that I won't pay for what Medicaid doesn't cover or that I have so much baggage that she doesn't want to deal with me. And she didn't have the guts to say the real reason in my opinion. PTI sounded like just the place I needed to go & a doctor in my PC's office said that Dr Person & PTI were really good. Well...so much for that. I certainly won't be telling anybody to go there, & I only gave 1 star because you have to put something in order to leave a review. My review is that she doesn't tell the truth IN MY OPINION. ALL OF THE ABOVE IS MY PERSONAL OPINION. I WAS NOT PAID IN ANY WAY NOR COERCED BY ANYONE TO LEAVE THIS REVIEW.

Jennifer Lynn Miller

They NEVER answer the phone or call you back. They changed my appointment time without telling me. They kept recharging me for appointments I’d already had. And DR. PERSON told me there was nothing more she could do for me. I went to stay in the hospital after that because I thought my life was over. They should be responsible for my hospital bills!! And Dr Person should not be treating anyone!! Do not go here!!!!

Erin Bear

Staff is always helpful and courteous. The overall environment is professional and clean. I really appreciate the reminder texts. We absolutely love Dr. Zimmerman!

Jana Callier

I am very pleased with the entire staff @ PTI, from the receptionists that know my name every time I go in. My doctor & therapist make me feel like a person not just a number, sometimes they are hard on me but I would not expect anything else, agreeing w/ me would not help me. Keep up the good work.

Dean Hicks

I see negative reviews on here and am scratching my head a bit. In my experience, Dr Person has always been pleasant, professional, and encouraging. I appreciate the telemedicine appointments as it saves time and gas. I've also found the office to be friendly and clean when I've visited. The only complaint I could come up with is that once I didn't get a callback regarding an appointment time, so I had to call them. That's not catastrophic, medical offices are busy places. Also, I'm disabled and on Medicaid waiting for my Medicare to start. I am VERY grateful to have found a caring psychiatrist in this system. If anyone here is on Medicaid and complaining, try making a specialist appointment somewhere else. I'm grateful for PTI and would refer anyone to see Dr. Person. Basically, she listens, is encouraging, friendly, and doesn't over medicate you. I do have to take some meds for anxiety but I don't want a physician that hands it out thoughtlessly. I'm grateful to have found her.

Marc Shiv

I spent a year of my life here , word of advice DONT see (dr) Person!....you would have better luck talking to a dog for help. Between my GP and a psychologist they figured out my meds in less than 2 months of which she couldn’t do in a year!!!!!....save your money and go somewhere else...if being a psychiatrist is this easy then I should have become one. And to top it all off I was labeled as depressed when I wasn’t in anyway!....I guess that 10 minute visit I could have labeled her as depressed!....run people run away from this place until they fire dr(I use that word lightly)Person!!!...other doctors have told me a lot about her ,...how she is nothing more than a glorified social worker who can’t get her meds straight!....nothing more than a scam!!...and I noticed the “‘management “...dosnt respond to the hard questions....why is that?!

These people are what is wrong with American health care and probably a large contribution to the mental health crisis. Dr. Person will not give refills on medication without seeing you no matter what your circumstances are. If I had the money I'd sue her for malpractice. You should not prescribe a medication for someone that has extreme anxiety that causes severe physical withdrawal symptoms if a dose is missed and then in two weeks double the dosage, and then refuse to see the patient because they were 10 minutes late (and there is no one around for an appointment but you) due to a traffic accident when you only prescribe enough medication for the patient to have just enough medicine to make it from appointment to appointment. Then refuse to make allowences after the patient is then in a car totalling wreck the next day and will not be able to get to an appointment for another several months to get a refill for the poison she got the patient sick on to begin with. Be warned, these people are not worth anything and if there was another psychiatrist that would accept Medicaid we would not be doing business with her.

Alan Bishop

They put you on medications that you can't abruptly stop and then when it's refill time they stop answering the phone, or they'll answer and act like they're sending out a refill but they aren't. God have mercy on your soul if you go to this place, you will experience withdrawals from medications they prescribed you. This place is just a money making machine, they don't care one bit about your health.

Laurie Cloessner

Don't go here. Save your money because you are not a priority. If you leave a message, expect no response, if you want anything done you will have to drive to the office and ask in person. I've been with them for several years and it always takes forever to get any thing resolved. But, this last time was the worst. After waiting 3 days just for them to re-send my prescription to a pharmacy that had my medication in stock, I've finally said enough is enough. I know things take time and usually I'm patience, but after leaving a message for the with no response after 24 hours, driving there in person, and trying to getting a hold of them 4 times, and then finally being lied to. Enough is enough. I never make waves, I know things take time, but there is only so much of being put off that someone can take. Plus, they won't refill/resend a prescription on Friday, so you have four business days to stay on them if something goes wrong with your prescription, it's just too much work. If you intend to visit here make your appointments on Monday, you'll need the whole week to get them to do anything that would take another clinic 24 hours.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER going here again! Over a year after having ONE visit here, I am still dealing with having to pay an OUTRAGEOUS lab bill that they sent my urine off to. They said I signed off on the paperwork to have my labs done. I was under the impression that my labs were IN-HOUSE (which they were) and then they sent if off for further confirmation to an outside lab in Texas. Which they sent it OUT OF NETWORK...WTH! Now, I am stuck with a $1,300 bill after ONE APPOINTMENT. Causing me more distress than what I even went to this doctor for! I even talked to the owner (very nice at the time), after speaking with Majorie (also very nice person) the day of my appointment and we agreed I should only be seen there that ONE time because of my insurance and financial situation, but then they send my urine off to an out of network provider. MAKES NO SENSE! No wonder why the mental state of this country is in shambles. You really CANNOT get help these days when you need it. It's all about making a buck. When calling to get help and answers, there is always "nothing we can do". Would give negative stars if I could.

Angela Flowers

I love PTI! Isabella, Jackee, Marliska, Dr. Person are all awesome + give me the feeling that I matter and im not just another check.

Tiffany Brown

I used to enjoy this facility, but not anymore. In fact almost a year ago I gave them 5 stars. However, because it will not allow you to leave multiple reviews I had to change my review to 1 star and update the comments. Everything negative said by previous posters is true and not an exaggeration. I will say quickly, the girls who work in the front are extremely nice and always pleasant to deal with. That is the only good thing about this office. For starters it is impossible to get a hold of anyone here and they do not return your calls, even when they say they will. I have had to drive to the office and speak with someone in person on more then one occasion because of their inability to call you back. Which leads me to the next issue..... the PA and the Doctor do not listen to you at all. You go for your appointment, they tell you everything is going great and then you go to pick up your medicine and find there's an issue. So then you have to try and get a hold of someone to fix it which is impossible, see previous point. The PA will change your medicine without telling you or having a discussion with you. If you question her on this at your next appointment she will become rude and make you feel uncomfortable for asking her why she would change it without so much as a conversation. I thought it was just me she was doing this to, but when I spoke with someone at their office finally I was told they had been getting numerous calls from other people saying the same was happening to them. In all actuality, I could write a book on how disrespectful they are and what's worse how uncomfortable they make you feel. Overall PTI is just not a good experience anymore. It is too bad because they used to be extremely patient focused and wanted to help you. Now it's just about getting you in and out of there for the money. I am disappointed with how much they have changed and where their focus is now. I would not recommend going to this office to anyone. There is a reason why they can always get you in quickly and other doctors take a month. Take the time and wait for another doctor, you'll be better off. You want someone who will listen to you and not treat you disrespectfully. I am posting this personal review in hopes to keep others from going through what I have gone through at this office. I know how hard it is to find a good doctor, I promise you will not find one here. Maybe they can become good again, but at this time they make you feel worse.

April Boykin

Showed up almost an hour before scheduled time because my son had another appt somewhere else. I didn’t mind waiting since it was our choice to show up early.. but being that our appt for my son was for 10:00 and now it’s 10:27 and they tell you to show up 15 minutes early and we have yet to be called back.... not very pleased..

DeAnna Vizinat

I wasted an entire year at this clinic and I completely regret it. During my time at PTI, I didn’t improve or grow. No one was helping me cope with my mental issues or helping me create plans for a better future. The appointments were simply about updating medications and talking to a social worker about how my week was going. That is all we did for an entire year. A year that I could have used at another mental health facility that genuinely looks out for their patients’ well-being. Save yourself some time, If you don’t feel you’re getting the help you need, leave and search for a better place. I wish I would have.

This place is a money maker! I've been on lamictal for 2 years and clonazepam for 7 years I have a mood disorder anxiety restless leg syndrome and insomnia which the clonazepam is for. My primary retired didn't have my meds for 2 weeks no primary wants to prescribe psychotic meds. I was told to go to a psychiatrist to control and prescribe meds that I'm already on. After days and night of being up for over 24 hrs and off meds for 2 weeks my body went in complete shock found a new primary that put me back on the meds. Went to see Dr persons to manage my meds only to be told i have an adjustment disorder and she doesn't treat insomnia and wouldn't manageor prescribe my meds. Im all for therapy for my other issues but to waste the 103.00 out of pocket for the visit and they charge 470.00 for a drug test that they don't tell you. I was talked to for 15 mins and told I have an adjustment disorder. My meds work. Just needed management. Not just therapy. Insurances are paying bank to these people! Nope dropped them and found a great psychiatrist that is managing my meds.

PTI has been a blessing for my family in helping my son. I love that his counsellor and psychiatrist are in the same practice and are able to communicate about my son's care.

Casie McCormick

This has been a wonderful place to help my daughter through a difficult time. She has made tremendous progress. The staff is always exceptional and helpful.

After being a patient here for the past 3+ years, I've never had a single problem with any of them. They have the nicest people to accompany you with all your needs.
