I normally give a place a few chances before leaving a bad review. Lazy staff couldn't look up who my coverage was through WITH my card... then had the audacity to call back and disregard I was driving on Nelson road to try to get my info again. New Horizons was able to look up my info with my card (lost my wallet that day).
I'm sure there are good counselors there... but the one I saw (Lisa Brune), I saw due to autism and social issues causing depression. To begin with, while don't don't bother me, she doesn't tell you she has some in there, until you're already in there. She keeps them covered, but if the IDEA of dogs scares you, or you have allergies....
She spent most of HER time talking about the depression itself, and "how do I know you won't kill yourself", rather than giving me answers or counseling for what I was seeking. When I asked, or tried to bring the topic BACK to what I needed help with, I got a condescending "you interrupted me again", instead of understanding that I knew we had limited time and needed help to PREVENT me from being suicidal.
I ended up leaving empty-handed, except with another condescending remark: "We can give it one more time, but you have to be willing for me to teach you. You shot my 3 ideas out the window already" - For suggestions that I spend 15 years already trying.
I may try this place again in the future, but was put off by the disregard for my safety when driving... over the fact they didn't want to look up the carrier for my card.
