(I can see the negative reviews piling up; starting to notice a pattern). My issue was the outrageous price they charge for visits for those paying with cash (if you have insurance, I am not necessarily speaking for you) plus the quality of care you get. You talk to the psychologist for an hour about your life only for her to then give you a 2 minute discussion on what you can expect from future visits. The price? $165.
For people whose lives are not together, at least at the moment, this is highly unethical; maybe the professionals there who must make six figures don't realize $165 is not pocket change for others. There was a time when doctors would give free care to people who needed it the most. I'm not asking for a handout, but the cost here is absurd. If that's in fact what it costs based on what the cost model of the business dictates, fine. But you need you tell the patient exactly that they should expect to receive when they give $165 of their hard earned cash (harder earned than listening to someone talk for an hour) for what they receive. No, you don't strike me as people who are talented as you'd like to believe.
Do yourself this favor and improve your life watching hours of videos on YouTube of psychologist Jordan Peterson. It's free and I can almost guarantee if you're intelligent and can incorporate knowledge to be used for action as opposed to needing someone else create an exact plan for you, having the information you'll receive there is far more beneficial than this. And Peterson has a plan based system on his website for under $50, the only thing you can expect to pay if you want to go that route. Maybe CBT has a particular niche but I was not that person (was recommended by a shrink) and can not expect to see that money back.
