I can't speak about all the offices and clinicians in this business, but I can speak of my Psychiatrist, Dr. Tamas, and Psychologist Dr. Zachary Dietrich, both in the Louisville, St. Matthew's office. Dr. Tamas is amazing and was willing to spend the extra time to listen to me vent during our visits even though I was only there for med checks. And unlike others, she didn't give up trying to find me a medicine to help treat my bipolar that didn't cause a severe negative side effect, even though we tried a lot. And when a new medication caused me to have an allergic reaction, I called the next business day and was able to get a prescription for a different medication electronically sent to my pharmacy. She is also very honest and told me that we could keep throwing pills at the problem all day, but until we address the environmental influences, while addressing the chemical issues of the bipolar, things weren't going to get better. Dr. Zachary Dietrich is absolutely an AMAZING therapist. He makes sure I feel completely comfortable and is very laid back. His schedule is open, making make appointments extremely easy. When I walk in his office I immediately feel a sense of weight lifted because he makes me feel so comfortable that I no longer have to wear my friendly, smiling, public "mask", I can be just my honest self and don't feel like I'm being negatively judged for it. He tells his patients that if they ever need to talk during business hours, for them to call his line, and he means it. If he's busy, he really will call you back at his earliest convenience. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because they don't tell you that as a new patient they have you take a mandatory test, and that you will be billed separately for this test, my insurance covered 80% of the cost, but some insurance may not cover it at all. Also, every time I've called, except for once, I've had to wait at least 5-10 minutes on hold waiting to speak to the receptionist. But I have to say that the receptionist at the St. Matthew's office is always very polite and sweet.

My Alternate Reality

Frontend staff is awkwardly unfriendly - I walked in with a smile on my face and approached the reception desk. The woman at the front desk did not even acknowledge me and continued a conversation with another staff member. I just walked away and sat down. This is after I called at the beginning of June requesting a meeting with a psychiatrist. I was made an appointment a month out and was hanging in there. I show up for my initial appointment and it is just a 30 minutes introductory appointment with a therapist. After the brief meeting, I am told now I may make my appointment with a psychiatrist - another month out. I have tried calling multiple times for a cancellation. When you call, you are sent to a call center as if you were to call Amazon customer service. One lady who answered the phone in the undisclosed call center flat out told me "we just answer the phones." When I called to say I'm really struggling and don't know what to do. For me, this just validated that I'm alone in everything I do and things will never improve. You all are in the business of supposedly helping people with mental health issues, so why not have your call center employees book the services the caller asks for? It takes a lot to admit you need help and to ask to wait two months to receive it.... I can't even put into words how much of a decline this has caused in my life.

I believe that this office of PsychBC is truly professional and caring. All attempts are made to keep private information just that, private, even at check in on scheduling another appointment. I felt like Dr. Tamas wanted to help me and see me get better. I would 100% recommend this office and in fact did so for a close acquaintance.

Bad place to go. I know there's not much options here in Louisville , but please try and find a different place to go. 5/1/17 I asked for help with medication only( before I walked into the hallway for my appointment)and the doctor they set me up with did not care to even help me with resources to obtain my RX today. I told him that "he could not help me" , and I will continue my search for a comfortable fit between doctor and patient compatibility. I gave them a 1 star rating on the fact that I could get through to customer service pretty quickly . *PLEASE BE AWARE THEY HAVE A "F" RATING WITH THE BBB! ( A dozen complaints , which only 2 are still ongoing) (Something I could easily locate on a Google search while waiting in the waiting room) I hope that someone will see this and bypass this company all together, and save time , resources and money to help with any of their medical needs .

My doctor (Ren Shurman) was rude. I was constantly being asked if I was smoking something. Even though I continued to tell him that Im tired because I work swing shift, and I usually transition back to day shift the day that I see him. Instead of drug testing me he continued to harass me. Also I am still paying the remainder of my bill, because just a year after I was done with psych BC they added another hundred dollars to my bill. They are deliberately trying to take my money. They could care less about the mental care of their patients. DONT BOTHER!!!!!

I have been going here for almost two years to see Katherine McCurry, and I have always been treated well. She is an awesome therapist, and I can honestly say my life has changed in so many positive ways thanks to her help. She is always warm and friendly, and she genuinely cares about her clients. She also happens to be a great interior decorator, and her office is cozy, welcoming, and adorable. I’m shocked about the negative reviews because I have never had anything but positive experiences here, and out of all of the offices I have been to, this is the only one I would ever recommend to my friends and family.

It’s taken me a long time to find good help. I am blessed to have found a great therapist and an amazing group of ladies. Thank you for being a glimpse of hope in my journey of healing.

BEWARE hidden fees! I had ONE appointment-filled out a questionnaire (which is apparently mandatory, yet they don't tell you you are being charged) and was charged $60 not covered by insurance. They also wanted me have ADHD testing done and to come in every month for ADHD med management which I have been on the same meds for past 7 years. Only reason I was looking for a new dr. Was mine was moving out of state. Definitely do not recommend. They will fee you to death : (

Love Dr. Tamas. She has helped me with my medication in a way that no other doctor ever has. I trust her completely and know that she is keeping my wants and needs together to get me where I should be.
