Not all prescriptions get sent to the pharmacy and each time we go I have to call the office and tell them something wasn't sent. They will cancel my girls appointments and not have anything available for another month. So far I've been very frustrated. Maybe asking for a different dr will help but after 5 months of being with them I'm not impressed. both of my kids do not like the personality of the person they see and shut down as soon as we hit the parking lot. she seems to know what she's doing though and the new meds have helped but it's frustrating trying to get the meds filled and appointments kept.

I loved the therapist I saw. However, it took a week to get a return phone call to set up that initial appointment. That phone call took a half hour as I gave the young lady all my insurance info. She even asked for my husbands social security number (insurance is through him), and when I told her I didn’t think she needed that info, she told me I couldn’t get an appointment if I didn’t provide it. Okay, I am going through a bad time because of multiple deaths of persons close to me, so I gave it to her. When I showed up for my appointment the following week, I was told I owed $100 since I didn’t have insurance. I informed this young lady that I did indeed have insurance, pulled out my insurance card and pointed out the section regarding behavioral health benefits. I pulled up my insurance web page to show her that this clinic is listed as a provider. She was unimpressed, told me that the only person in the world who could adjust my account was off that day, that she would pass along my info, and if I was correct (?) I would have a credit applied to my future visits. I expected a phone call on the following business day, but no. I called and left a message. Left two messages the next day, and the day after. My next appointment is tomorrow, I will not pay another $100, and there is an $85 late cancellation fee if I don’t give 24 hours notice. So I had to cancel my appointment. I have a refund due, so I intend to follow up with the states attorney.

If there was a way to give a negative five stars I would because the person making the calls for appointments has as much personality as a limp noodle. Not only do you have to explain why you're calling but then because of the subject matter, I am then made to feel like I'm the scum of the earth. Is this how a mental health clinic should treat someone when they don't even know the entire story??? Maybe evaluations and assessments should be done on the administrative staff to make sure they know how to speak with people over the phone and lose the phoniness when leaving messages. Don't use these people for anything because they are hack jobs at best milking money from patients and jacking up insurance rates with default and defunked practices.

I can't begin to tell you how many bad experiences I have had here. It's an EVERY time thing. They have by far the rudest and most incompetent office staff in the world. I went through an ordeal where they confused me with another patient 5-10 times, calling my family and telling them that I was suicidal (which was not true). I'm pretty sure they did something very illegal. On top of that, the women on staff are mean and hostile. And as of recently, they have pretty much stopped answering the phone or returning calls. Though I love my doctor, I will be leaving. I've put up with this for 10 years and it's not worth it.

Sara Prusik

Unprofessional receptionist staff, disorganized, no clue what’s going on, spends no time with patients, not worth the money or time they make you spend in their waiting room.

John Fischbach

Horrible staff and even worse therapists

Would leave 0 stars if I could. I was not listened to and they threw away my past diagnosis. They told me that the medication I took in the past probably did work but I couldn’t see that because of my history with depression. This office is ridiculous and I will never see dr Val again. Also when I told her my job made me unhappy I was told, “well maybe you need to learn that the key to serinity is acceptance.”

I've only seen my private therapist so far and she has helped me break many barriers and its only been 1 month. Thank you! You know who you are. I do agree that the the front desk can be a little more compassionate, in dealing with crisis patients and many people needing tender love and care. If you are the first face we see help us don't gender us. May God bless!

Just to add to this that nothing has improved and they are still terribly rude, unhelpful, and unresponsive. Stay away from this place. As many of people noted below, the front desk staff really does a poor job. I cannot tell you how many times i have called and been unable to reach somebody to set up a simple appointment or refill a prescription. I was charged a no show fee for an appointment set up months in advance. Did not receive email, text or call reminder. Partially my fault of course, but they had my old information on file, even though i filled out a new form for contact information before my missed appointment. Extremely frustrating. The medical staff and doctors are fine, but dealing with the front desk makes it unbearable. Just be ready to never get a hold of anyone at the office and leave many voicemail's. I have called at all times of the day. The whole front desk takes an hour lunch from 12-1 everyday and usually don't start taking calls until after 1 or whenever they feel its time to get back to work. Never seen anything like it!

I take my daughter here for treatment. When we moved away we saw different providers and came right back to clinical associates. The staff is so efficent, caring and so easy to communicate with. My daughter really likes her doctor as well. I wish I could give you more stars!!

Elizabeth Oddo

I loved the therapist I spoke to. It has been very difficult to reach the front desk to rebook so I would definitely book a few weeks out while you can. Someone reached out to me when I was frustrated with scheduling and did it right then which was very nice. Think I’ve found my new office, the doctors here are very nice and welcoming

Michelle Reeves

In a time of absolute crisis within our household the front office staff to Dr Val have been patient, compassionate and have really done their best to try and help us. I am so grateful for your help in making life good again for my son. We appreciate all of you so much.

Lord Pardus

Horrible phone system. Horrible front office staff. Appointments NEVER start on time. There always 20 reasons why doctor can't see you on scheduled time, but your appointments END at scheduled time. So when you come to see a psychologist at 2pm, he is 20 minutes late to start session but he ends session at scheduled time at 2:45, but they sure charge you for full session... AVOID

Joe Kewl

I contacted customer service to set up an appointment, I requested an email confirmation for the appointment time and date. The rep stated that it would happen. A week later I called back requesting that the email be sent, reminding them that I had already requested the email. I was told there email had been down. I was told that the original rep would be spoken to about this. I was told that the rep I was speaking with would send the email when she(Courtney) could. I am set up for an $2000.00 cash only evaluation that takes 4 hrs to complete. That's $500 dollars an hour. Bang vs. Buck I would say this place is a zero. The only thing I could tell they could get right was making sure I knew it was cash only type of place. Sounds more like a 1980's drug house. "What choo need?" Dr. Dees PHD .... You lie, or should I say that you omit the truth and paint a partial picture of what was actually said.. Liar liar pants on fire. Don't trust what was said is going to be reported accurately.

So, I've been taking my daughter here for over 3 years with no improvement. I've always paid my 30.00 co-pay before each visit and never missed an appointment until today. I was told; I need to pay 85.00 before I can even think about scheduling another appointment. Their financial disclosure says in part; a missed or cancelled appointment MAY include a fee UP TO 85.00. I agreed to come in after my appointment time to pay the co-pay but was told; there is a 15 minute cut off time and I would have to pay 85.00. I dont understand why im being charged the max for 1 missed appointment in over 3 years. I have given this company over 3 years of loyalty and all they care about is getting paid. I told them; the company can hide behind their financial disclosure, but that don't make it right for the patient. It's a shame when a medical company cares more about their bottom line then the patient.. lesson learned...

Everyone here is amazing, from the doctors to the billing staff!

Got to the appt at 1:10, paid $50 copay, but didn't get seen until 1:25 to 1:30 pm. The therapist was nice but in his assessment, he decided that he or his clinic could not help citing that my patient needed to be more "stable." He gave us a number for another place and didn't offer anything but "thanks for your money and we will charge your insurance for telling us why you came here. I then called and spoke to someone in the office who kept blaming a third party company to avoid the issues that Clinical Assoc. did not call to remind of the appt., they did not tell us about the paperwork needed, they did not explain that we would be considered "LATE" at 1:10 when our appt was at 1. That right there showed that we were not going to get good treatment while they were MAD about us walking in at 1:10 pm. for a 1:00 appt. Many doctors have a a10 to 15 minute window and had we known the time of the appt, we may have gotten there at 1. Regardless, we presented with several problems related to behavior and mental and I basically paid $50 for a phone number. I'm reporting every experience with mental health providers while helping my patient. I cannot imagine how they can see someone in tears and send them away with a new phone number and a business card. My recommendation is to find another provider if you or someone you know needs treatment. Or, get as many questions answered up front before the appointment and record the phone calls in case you experience something as greedy as we did. They only want your money and insurance.

Jim Starling

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My job changed my insurance so I needed a doctor who would accept my new provider and I thought "hey this is a nice convenient location to continue getting the prescription that's been working for me for years." But these people are awful. The psychiatrists / nurse practitioners here think they know everything. They will call you a liar and insist that you change what's been working for you. Not only that: they will drug screen you before prescribing you medication, because apparently anyone who smokes even the smallest amount of pot must be a stoner or a drug addict.

Elisabeth Corkran

My doctor who I visited was awesome but front stuff sucked This one lady was rude to me and they did not tell me until after I get there and already had past appointment with new insurance that they didn’t accept the insurance was using Than the charged for me the pervious visit and late fee They would not let me see my doctor and was forced to leave because I did not have 70 dollars to pay for the visit and then Came back to pay 50 dollar Money for gas was more important Trying get my medication that I must take for a bad termor and medication for panic disorder was a nightmare they keep sending it wrong I get it faster with my family doctor than with them

Martha Forshey

Couldn't even get a phone call returned or a visit scheduled. Called multiple times and was either put on hold till I eventually had to hang up cause the wait was so long or was told I would get a call back that I never received. Avoid them at all costs.

Leanna Caldwell

Tried for a week to get a new patient appointment, I filled out the form online, I called and left a message, I called throughout the week, no one ever called me back.

Front office doesn't know what they're doing. They are rude and they make you wait an exorbitant amount of time. It's a shame a health practice values money over service. Makes me question their integrity. Of course, it's important for them to be paid for the service they provide, but not at the expense of the patient's time and well-being. They are disastrous with insurances.

Dr Valerie Jansen is very rude and incompetent in my opinion. She talks to you for all of 5 minutes and then declares that you're daughter is faking being sick all the time. I've seen my daughter sick frequently. You can't fake gobs of snot coming out of your nose, a fever and constant deep coughs. Her pediatrician thinks she may have an autoimmune disease bc she's sick so frequently. Which is what I told Dr Jansen, but she still thought my daughter was a faker. Plus, my daughter is an above straight a student. Meaning, she does extra credit homework and gets above all A+'s. She loves school. If she didn't, she wouldn't get such good grades. She has tons of friends at school too. They call us all the time and come over. She doesn't fake being sick to get out of school. Period. The receptionist who answers the phone is absolutely rude, as well. I was sick one time and therefore I couldn't bring my daughter in and so I said that I could have someone else bring my daughter to her appointment. The receptionist said that was against their policy and I told her then I'll need to reschedule my appointment. She said that since I didn't give them a 24hr notice to cancel that I couldn't reschedule my appointment bc that's their policy. I told her it was an unforeseen circumstance, but she still stuck by their policy. I asked to speak to a manager and the receptionist put me on hold and came back to the phone very quickly and told me that it would be ok if someone else brought my daughter to her appointment. I don't feel like they care about their patients. I feel like their staff are in bad moods maybe bc they're treated so poorly. Since the doctor treats her patients like she did with us, then she probably treats her staff even worse. The doctors are the catalyst in that office. I can almost guarantee it.

I came to review the place because I had many great experiences over the years with Dr Varanka and others. The receptionists definitely take a hit almost 90% of the time. I have witnessed those poor ladies be yelled at by patients just for asking for a copay or paperwork to be filled out. If you open your eyes you would see they didn’t have enough people for a while but I think they are all very nice. When I have had questions about my bill, I have always been spoken to nicely. Same with rescheduling my daughter. What I find interesting is that you all are mental patients. Nothing wrong with that but why be mean? I could easily say in response to Kenzy, a “former employee”, I remember speaking with you once and you seemed very incompetent, inattentive and rude. Yet I still came back because I knew you wouldn’t last long and I wasn’t going to stop my daughter from getting help because your attitude was horrible. How embarrassing you for you to put your dirty laundry on here. Then I was curious about what on earth cost $2000.00 like Mr Kewl said, then I remembered I had a booklet with prices and took a look but if you feel entertained can find it on their website as well. Mr Kewl, I don’t think you have any room to talk or complain. The only thing that costs that much there is a SEX OFFENDER test. Shame on you for complaining about anything. Then the people complaining about having to pay their bill. OMG you have to pay your bill? They don’t offer free services? You all are special if you think you can go somewhere and not have to pay. All in all this is a great place. Dr Varanka is top notch. Katie Grier I give 5 stars too. Myself and my daughter has been coming for years and will continue to be a patient here as long as she or myself needs to.

Sorry to be repetitive but if I could give 0 stars I would. I liked the Dr I met with, he was nice but outside of that it was an absolute NIGHTMARE. The front office staff are incompetent, rude, and just utterly unbearably. It takes for ever to get someone to answer the phone and when they do they have terrible attitudes. And the billing department is an absolute nightmare. They are always at lunch or “in a meeting” and collect “an estimate” of what they think your insurance is going to pay before they ever even bill them.... Please just save your time and go somewhere else. They will absolutely rob you and truly don’t care about your mental health.
