Bellatore went above and beyond my expectations. Not only is it decorated absolutely beautifully (with super comfy chairs and couches), but every single group facilitator was phenomenal. I took away so much from my time here...experiential learning situations, group dynamic lessons, skills and practical ideas, freedom from food challenges, and so many dear new connections. The founders are some of the most empathetic and wise people I have come into contact with in this field. I would highly recommend this treatment center to anyone who wants to be fully seen, truly helped/equipped, and deeply cared for.

It is a beautiful and serene space for therapy to take place, The honest and open group sessions bring so much emotion and bring positive change. There are not enough words of gratitude to the therapists and dieticians here who held our hands and kept us moving forward to get our daughter back to a healthy state. They showed love, warmth, compassion and never once did we feel alone in our families time of crisis. My daughter and family will forever be grateful for the wisdom and empathy these ladies have shown us. Truly, in KC, there is no better place. I have had 2 daughters who have battled this horrible disease called an eating disorder. One has been recovered for about 2 years and one that has just reached the end of her recovery. I can't say enough good things about Bellatore Recovery. I have gotten to know the women who started this and I can tell you they are some of the most knowledgeable women throughout the Kansas City area when it comes to Eating Disorder recovery. Their staff are also top-notch - we have had experience with both counselors and RD's. Bellatore's IOP program was instrumental in helping our daughter who just reached recovery to push past her stage of being 'stuck' (not physically sick to require hospitalization but also not at a healthy weight) into full recovery. She is now weight restored and, more importantly, is back to her healthy, happy self. The spark in her eyes is back and her skin and hair look so much better. I highly recommend Bellatore Recovery to any family who has a loved one who is battling an Eating Disorder.

Bellatore is a safe space offering hope and healing to those affected by eating disorders. I experienced a difficult relapse following completion of IOP and Aftercare. I was met back into Bellatore with compassion and love to begin moving towards health and wholeness. I continue to gain skills surrounding ACT, Creative and Emotional Processing, DBT and Soul Self Development. Meal planning and nutrition topics have been helpful conversations. I appreciate being involved in group knowing there is someone who can relate and listen. Supported meals have been valuable practice. I feel so loved and truly cared for. I will never forget that impact. Amy, Kirsten, Brooke and Angie have developed a beautiful program that is firm, honest and encouraging.

I have had two teenage daughters battle with eating disorders. We are so lucky to have a recovery system like Bellatore in our area. My girls were able to connect with other people going through the same things. They didn't feel so alone. The therapists were able to build their confidence and and their general understanding of the importance of nutrition. My girls are back to normal lives playing soccer, dinner with friends, all of these important life events that used to paralyze them. The staff has been wonderful, taking time on the weekends and evenings to provide additional advice or support. It has been worth all of the time and investment to get the girls back to normal. They are stronger because of it.
