So I left a voicemail asking for someone to call me back and they did. But when she called me back I told her that I had potentially found a counselor and she immediately hung up on me . I was going to ask if the current counselor doesn't work out what they offer as far as their services go but I guess that went out the window when professionalism went out the window .

First, let me say that the counselor seen here was amazing. No complaints about patient care by the providers. The issue with Bridgepointe Counseling Services is the policy on patient reminders for appointments. As someone that has worked in the medical field for over a decade, sometimes a friendly reminder is needed, as people become busy or there can be miscommunication on appointment times. The use of phone calls, text, email, or even a letter would help with confusion and show individuals a little additional care for their well-being.

I just went to the Anderson location for my first appointment. When I walked inside the small, dark office and gave the receptionist my name, she said that I didn't have an appointment and that she couldn't help me. She told me that I have to make an appointment to be seen and that they don't take walk-ins. I tried to explain that I made an appointment, but she proceeded to treat me like I was stupid. All of my personal information was in the computer system, so it didn't make any sense that they would have that info if I never made an appointment. I called the central office to find out what was going on. Apparently when I called on the 24th of February, they made the appointment for the 22nd of February and then marked it as a no show. How does that even happen?! They also scheduled the appointment at the location that's over 1 hour away from where I live! Why would I go to that location when there's one right down the street from me?! The woman then asked me if I wanted to schedule another appointment. Wow...yes, I would love to make an appointment to go to a psychological service that doesn't even know how the concept of time works. How can I trust a service that's supposed to understand how the human mind works when you can't even get your own s*** figured out?!
