I have had used North Shore twice for neuropsychological testsing, once when my boy was 7, and just recently this month at age 10. They data they provide has made figuring out my boy's education plan very simple. It has also been a big help in getting a soild IEP for my child. North Shore is very proficient, timley, and very helpful. The other nice thing is they are very helpful with insurance and getting claims in. I highly recommend this place and thier staff.

Our family has had an excellent experience with North Shore Pediatric Therapy. All of the staff that I've interacted with are remarkably caring, attentive, and professional. Dr. Kane conducted a thorough neuro-psychological evaluation on our seven year old daughter and provided our family with very insightful feedback. We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Kane's expertise and feel that she has been instrumental in helping our family understand and best support our daughter's holistic development. We have been through many different types of testing and different locations (Illinois Masonic, U of Chicago, DePaul) and North Shore Pediatric Therapy is on the same professional level as any of them. We chose North Shore to have our daughter's testing updated rather than returning to U of Chicago based on a professional recommendation (and that fact the commute for us to get to Hyde Park was long). Dr. Staci and is his staff were knowledgeable, professional and patient with our daughter. The testing process was difficult for her and they were amazing in providing the support and guidance needed for her to get through it. The evaluation (results) meeting was very in depth and explained to us in terms we could understand. They gladly welcoming questions (even when we interrupted them) and took the time to break things down that we didn't understand. They made thought out, professional recommendations and gave us all the necessarty insight as to why they were making them without pressuring us to do everything they recommend. We plan to follow-up on their recommendations and further her therapy at a location they suggested. The have assured us they will help support us throughout the process and I have no doubt that they will. If you have a child that may be in need of help and support, you will be very pleased if you decide to set up an appointment with North Shore Pediatric Therapy. Good Luck!

I highly recommend this place. Appointments and sick visits were easily obtained and I didn't have to deal with issues with insurance. The staff is military friendly and educated on Tri-Care. I also love that the staff is kind and treats my children like their own.

We have been searching for someone to test our son for Dyslexia, and we are grateful that our pediatrician referred us to North Shore Pediatric Therapy. The speed of which they could get us in and tested was something I didnt expect. The office has a calm and soothing effect which is so necessary for us when we are finally at the point of asking for help for our child.

We receive in home ABA therapy from North Shore and it has been an unbelievable smooth transaction with my son. The therapist are so kind and positive that energy is needed in a two hour session. Our family has been working with Shari Meserve for over a year. We came to her in a state of crisis, because our son has been struggling in school for years and we just couldn't get the school to agree to an IEP. Shari quickly calmed our fears and frustrations with her extensive knowledge about how schools work, as well as her experience working with kids who have special needs. She was efficient, confident, and so knowledgeable in all the areas that were confusing to us. Shari talked me through countless worries and questions, and did so quickly! She understood our son and our goal of helping him. She sat by me during stressful meetings, and I finally felt like we weren't alone in our quest for helping our son. We ended up having Shari help us with two of our other boys also, because Shari was able to assist us in getting all the help we needed for our first son! If I could give her a million stars, I would. No amount of stars can show the gratitude we have for Shari's amazing dedication and incredible knowledge of the school system. Our sons' lives have been completely changed for the better because of Shari. Thank you!!!

Excellent advocacy services. We hired Shari after having many problems with our school. Having her at the meetings changed the whole tone. The staff was more professional, listened to us and we got things accomplished. Because of Shari's involvement we got our daughter into a therapeutic school, something we had been trying to get for over a year. Shari is easy to work with, has a quick response time and has a wonderful presence at meetings. She has a good combination of staying in control in a non-threatening way and uses the right balance of humor and assertiveness to get the job done. She helped us stay calm and lessened our anxiety. Never will we go to a meeting without Shari by our side. Highly recommend her services.

Having her on our team has provided great peace of mind and ensured that we had the right plans in place for our son. She is the one to have in your corner!

The staff and professionals that we were in contact with at NSPT were all very easy to work with and communicate with. They explained the process of testing that we and our son would encounter and made the whole experience go smoothly. Our son was welcomed into the clinic on testing day by Dr. Stasi and the gentleman who would be completing the testing in a very child friendly way. He felt comfortable and was able to successfully complete each part of the testing within the time allotted that day. Just 2 weeks later we reviewed the results with Dr. Stasi and were provided with helpful information on how to help our son be successful in his early academic years. Overall our experience with NSPT was great and we would reccomend this clinic to other families looking for neuropsychology testing for their child(ren).

My name is Shanna McDonald and my son is Carter. When Carter was born, I thought I brought home a normal child. When he was 6 months we started a different journey as he was not meeting his normal developmental goals. It has been a long journey and when he aged out of the birth to three program, I knew he need continued therapy. Well the year before my other son had a neuro-psychological exam done and after looking at other therapy places, I referred back to see what other service were offered at NSPT. After being unable to secure therapy at any other therapy place because of scheduling and the like and always being offered a spot on the waiting list, I received an email with the announcement of the opening of the Lincolnwood location and they had Saturday's available. I called right away. At the initial appointment they thoroughly completed the evaluation and explained the other services. When the service of IEP review was offered, again, I jumped at the opportunity because I knew Carter was not getting what he needed in school. Shari Meserve has been a force to be reckoned with. Her knowledge and grit to fight for kids that can't fight for themselves has been life altering for Carter. Her only focus in the child best interest and she did not leave the fight until she won. She made sure Carter got everything he needed and some of what I wanted. To date, not only has his placement been changed but a kid for whom it was uncertain whether he would walk or not is doing far more be cause of the proper placement gained through CPS negotiation and NSPT therapist.

Our experience there was great. When we arrive we never had to really wait. The whole process was explained to us prior to the evaluation so no surprises. Overall, my experience there has been good everyone there is super helpful.

Our family only has good things to say about NSPT Des Plaines! Everyone is very friendly and they are flexible with scheduling. Kate does a great job welcoming us every time. My son has been through neuropsych testing a couple of times. We really appreciate the in depth testing and the quick turnover for the detailed report. His doctor is also impressed with the report. We currently continue to come for social work visits and Brett is great with my son. My daughter loves to color and read books as we wait for big brother.
