Seeking endlessly for counselors that I feel would understand me, my story, I came across Thrive Counseling. I remember calling and wanting to schedule an appointment. I was told I would get a call back, and immediately did. Erin took me on as one of patients, and I struggled at first to trust, not because of her though, but because finding someone that understood me was hard. After a few appointments with her, I have never trusted the way I did her. She knew exactly how to help me and speak to me. For years on end, I always felt trapped, living with high anxiety, PTSD & depression, I thought I'd never really understand why. Most of my traumas occurred throughout my childhood years and it made it difficult to understand myself as for who I am today as an adult. After months and months of sessions, I was finally able to understand that I may never really understand why things occurred the way they did. I was able to learn that I do, however have control of my present moment, and what occurs from here on out. That being said I highly recommend Thrive Conseling as a go to place where you'll always be welcomed with love and acceptance. You're able to be raw and vulnerable, and are taught methods to better cope with anxiety/panic attacks and self-centering.
