REVIEWS OF Mountain Vista Psychology, PLLC IN Colorado

Chris Edwards

I hve know Dr. Stecker for many years. I know her to be one of the most diligent professionals in the field. Her quest for running a cutting edge business that takes care of both her clients and staff is rare in this business climate. I have referred many patients to her. I have only received enthusiastic positive feedback from my referrals. She’s also one of the most ethical professionals I have ever known, keeping her prices reasonable in a community that charges much more while delivering much less. I also know her educational background and the people she has trained under. Dr. Stecker has been trained by the very best. She offers an upper tier service for a reasonable price. Her compassion is beyond compare. She screens and interviews her staff with meticulous care. She trains them with the upmost attention to detail. For those who are interested, she offers business consulting services as well.

I've been a professional colleague of Dr. Stecker (the owner of Mountain Vista Psychology) for several years, and she and her team are the best! I often refer people to them, knowing they will have a great experience.

Steffanie has put together a great practice of therapists who care about their clients. I’d recommend Mountain Vista Psychology.

I absolutely love this place. If you are looking for an absolutely wonderful experience and a knowledgeable group, this is a great place, especially for neurofeedback. As a cutting edge approach, I love the experience and knowledge Steffanie brings to the table. I have known and worked with her for a long time now in a multitude of capacities and can say that she is one of the most open and caring people I have had the privilege to know.

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing, working with, and learning from Dr. Steffanie Stecker. As a former employee of Mountain Vista Psychology, PLLC I can speak to Steffanie’s tremendous integrity and professionalism. She has extensive clinical knowledge and experience in providing assessment and testing, and in treating children, teenagers, adults, and families experiencing a variety of life’s struggles. Her love for lifelong learning and professional development, specialized training to provide evidence-based, empirically validated interventions including EMDR and Neurofeedback, and her genuinely caring, warm, and down-to-earth nature make her a one-of-a-kind provider and educator. She is a gifted therapist and powerful in the way that she supports her clients and colleagues in finding peace and leading meaningful, healthy lives. She is dedicated to offering excellent, effective clinical services to the communities that she serves and is equally as dedicated to assisting professional colleagues in their growth and development. To professional counselors, social workers, physcologists, and Neurofeedback practitioners, I highly recommend Steffanie’s consulting services as she is incredibly knowledgeable of empirical research and it’s application to the field of clinical psychology. -Kathleen Korndoerfer, LPC, BCN

I have known the Clinical Director of Mountain Vista Psychology, Dr. Stecker, for 8 years. She is a dedicated clinician using state of the art tools and techniques to help individuals and families create more stable, healthy, functional lives. By using methods such as EMDR, Neurofeedback and comprehensive evaluations, Dr. Stecker's team can provide expert help with a wide variety of issues affecting children and families. Highly recommended for anyone looking for help with issues such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma and eating disorders.

Seems like Dr. Stecker is the rock star. Unfortunately I had to deal with Tanja Gorenc and the experience was in stark contrast of all of these stellar reviews. I was pressured to participate in neurofeedback for additional costs and felt like I was talking to a salesman instead of a therapist. Then due the rotating cycle of receptionists- cancelling or rescheduling an appointment is an absolute nightmare, and you may still get charge even if you follow their guidelines. Dr. Stecker stepped in and resolved the issues, but there are practices that are much better managed and with more than one rock star therapist. Don’t waste the time at Rocky Mountain Vista.

Tanja is a very effective therapist who takes the time and consideration required to provide positive results. She is straight forward, approachable and a very supportive therapist who has made counseling a little bit easier.

I was lucky enough to have Danielle Wahl, who works at Mountain Vista Psychology, as a classmate in grad school of professional psychology. As I was an international student, I had difficulty to keep up the level of classes at the beginning. Danielle was the one who gave me support and made me think “I can ask her for help any time”, which was huge relief to me. Knowing such personality of her, I am sure she is the right person to consult with as she would always thrive for best arrangement for clients.

Cindy Ninneman

I worked here, assessing individuals primarily for learning disabilities and ADHD. It was a nice place to work - consistent, predictable, ethical. I left when my personal schedule meant I would no longer be able to be a consistent practitioner. My goal was always to give families the information they needed, to provide sound recommendations for intervention/accommodation, and to be a useful and knowledgeable resource.
