I have had issues with a difficult, young dog and I finally took the advice of two different friends and called Dr. Gail Clark at K9 Shrink. I am driving an HOUR and a HALF ONE WAY to each session and I can tell you that it is worth the drive!!!! I have had 5 private sessions thus far with Gail and my English Setter, Cricket and I am thrilled with my dog's progress. Cricket would literally try to pull my arm out of the socket each time I would put her on a leash and now, she will walk calmly and even has learned to heel while walking on a hiking trail. I am absolutely amazed. At our most recent session, we were working on the sit and down stay and Cricket did a stay about 5 feet from Gail's cat and it was like a miracle! She stayed and didn't try to eat Gail's cat!!! Gail teaches you exactly how to work with your dog to get results. She is all business and helps you get what you want out of your dog. She helps you take control and doesn't let you get away with pandering to your dog. She makes sure that you are in charge and the dog knows it. Gail has truly made me a believer and I am happy to give her a 5 star review.

I loved that the classes were accelerated and we covered a lot of material in four weeks! With Dr. Clark and her assistants we got personalized attention that we never would have received in a big pet store class. The behavior of our pooch is completely different from when we started the class. Our doggie has been re-homed a few times and we had trouble getting her to obey commands from women; however, from the first time we met Dr. Clark our doggie knew she had to pay attention to me. She now has model behavior on a leash (unless a rabbit is around, but that's an advanced class!) Looking forward to learning more advanced techniques.

After almost 4 years of trying to control my crazy dog, I finally came to Gail and now we are competing in obedience and rally and often getting high scores and first places. He doesn't pull me around and ignore me anymore! Gail has great, humane methods that work!

Gail is awesome. I would highly recommend her and her team. Very professional and truly cares about the dogs! You can tell she loves what she does and was very knowledgeable and great to work with.

We just finished the basic obedience classes with Dr. Clark. This is the third Miniature Schnauzer that we have trained with her guidance (over 20 years) and we feel so lucky to have her and her assistants near by. Dr. Clark is always willing to help us with any problems that arise. We feel that this training has resulted in our Schnauzers having happier socialized lives knowing what is expected. Most importantly it sets them up to be able to think and solve problems on their own. We are looking forward to the advanced class. Much thanks to Dr. Gail Clark and crew. Gary and Rita Thornton

Gail and her team are amazing!! So fun every week and they really know what they’re doing!

After just a four week Beginning Obedience class, my dog is paying attention to me and obeying commands! What I like about Dr. Clark's training is that you learn 'why' the skill is needed and then teach your dog how to accomplish the skill. I am now back for the next level of training!

I brought our 3 month old black labrador retriever puppy to the puppy kindergarten classes at K9 Shrink. I have attended two other puppy kindergarten classes with the same breed at the same age, at other locations. I found this to be the best class I have taken. The environment is professional, yet relaxed and fun. Not only was I trained in the appropriate way to train my new puppy, but Gail and her crew also shared quite a bit of educational information on how to keep dogs safe, happy and healthy. My puppy was by far the most energetic and crazy. This did not stop Gail from often using him as a training example, quite successfully. This gave me confidence that the puppy was capable of learning when I used appropriate signals and training methods. Another excellent part of the class is that many useful commands for everyday life are included such as a 'settle' command to calm the dog down, rather than a formal 'stay' which is not always useful around the house. I highly recommend this business and I will certainly go on to the advanced dog training. PS. Getting ready for a multiple day camping trip the family told me get the dog under control in the car or he stays home! Yikes! One visit to Gail had the barking under control and her suggested addition of a crate sealed the deal. He happily rode 1400 miles, sometimes up to 10 hours in a day (with breaks) and was happy, comfortable and quiet.

Gail, I was nervous about coming to class for the first time. I had never been to a dog class and just worked with the 2 previous dogs on my own. It has been a HUGE learning experience for me. Coral has improved tremendously, but I think the growth was even more for me as the owner. We felt comfortable immediately in the class and with all the instructors. It was a true commitment to participate each week and well worth the effort. I just wish I could express how much we enjoyed the whole thing! Thank you so much and see you this summer!! Jessica

Small, intimate class sizes with three instructors present provides a sense of individualized help and attention. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. Gail is always willing to answer questions and offers productive solutions. I have seen a noticeable improvement in my dog’s behavior in just four classes; and will be coming back!

Dr Clark is, by far, the best trainer I've had the opportunity to work with. Her ability to see, and then be able to explain to me in terms I can understand, the small (and sometimes large) mistakes I'm making whilst working with my puppy have made all the difference with his attitude and my relationship with him. I've learned more working with her the past couple of months than I have in my lifetime of owning dogs prior to enlisting her help. I can't think of a better person out there to help anyone with a dog, be it a new puppy or an older dog with issues.

Gail has saved our family and sanity! We’re so happy we sought out her expertise in working with our new puppy. She’s provided us great tools that we couldn’t have found online watching dog training videos (as we were using initially) and had built up our confidence is working through stubborn puppy behavior. Thank you, Gail!

We brought our 8 month old golden retriever for the beginning training class. He is a very big, strong dog and I had a difficult time controlling him while walking. After completing the class I am now able to walk him with ease. He is a much better behaved dog and will even obey guests in our home. The class, Gail, and other instructors were all great. I will now have the well-mannered family dog I hoped for.

Gail is fantastic. I have been coming to her for years. My first dog was just to train for basic obedience around the home. I then got a rare breed and she helped me train for conformation and obedience competition. My dogs have titles before and after their names due to Gails patience with me. I have been training on and off for years and recently I allowed my dogs to develop some bad habits. In just 3 lessons Gail has guided me thru correcting those behaviors. This weekend we gained two legs of obedience titles after having corrected those bad behaviors. Gail is the best and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an experienced, straight forward, and compassionate dog trainer.

Gail and her team are top notch. They are so knowledgeable and are happy to answer questions. It is worth the drive from Fort Collins!

My boyfriend and I took our 1 year-old bulldog to Gail's classes for the first time ever this spring, and the immediate change in him was amazing. He had behavior problems and never listened, after the first class he became so much better. The classes were interesting and the atmosphere was friendly. It was worth every penny and the drive there and back every week. I definitely recommend Gail's classes to anyone who owns or plans on owning a dog.

Gail's Beginning Training Group Class is very helpful. While always challenging, the exercises were never beyond what we could handle or control. Gail also has knowledgeable assistants readily available to help if/when you get in a bind!! We signed up for the next class - Advanced Beginners and will continue to take private lessons as well!! One month later - it keeps getting better So Thrilled!!! Tonight - I was working Daisee in the barn off leash on waits, downs, sits, comes…… Daisee on one end of the alley way, I on the other….. the black cat meandered slowly ….. in front of Daisee, slowly walked towards me, she’s a cat so she is sauntering as slowly as she can….. finally makes her way to me and sits upon the chair next to me….. Daisee DID NOT MOVE. The cat is Daisee’s biggest draw...... so this is HUGE!!! We've come a long way!! Thank you Gail!

I have known Gail for a few years now. She is very knowledgeable about her business and the dogs. My good friend Karen has had great things to say of Gail as well. I would recommend the K9 Shrink!

I have a mini schnauzer, Sophie, who has some issues with jumping and aggressive attitudes. Since attending Gail's class, I now have more info and the right technique to get Sophie to stop this bad behavior. I've been to other training classes and did not receive the same results. Gail is very attentive to every pet is her class. I would recommend Gail Clark and K9 Shrink to anyone with a pet.

An excellent hands-on experience with Gail and her 2 assistants! For such a small class, we had individual attention for both dog and owner.

The Best Decision of our Life!! Our dog was scared around other people and dogs, he was aggressive so just from taking these courses and following through we have enjoyed a much calmer dog! We are glad to say that it doesn't get fixed within a matter of a few classes so we will be taking the advance classes they offer! The instructors and owner have been beyond incredible! Dog whisperers for sure! The knowledge, wisdom, and guidance they are all willing to give out, no hesitation has given me such a huge relief! Driving from Greeley to you as been worth it! No offense to other training facilities but there is no comparison! Thank you Thank you Gail so much for all your hard work dedication and kindness you have bestowed upon my family! We are eternally grateful for you and your staff! Blessings from The Burciaga's to you!

Gail is the best.

Our family has had an awesome experience taking the initial training classes, Gail and her team have to offer. My daughter was able to participate in the classes and she has developed quite an interest in the process of training. Gail offers dog training techniques that are user-friendly, applicable, and work. You are easily able to implement what you’ve learned, in class, at home. We’re eager to continue classes.

Morna Mynard

An excellent hands-on experience with Gail and her assistants all of whom are also very knowledgeable. My dog was particularly challenging as he was not properly socialized as a puppy so he can be aggressive with strange dogs. Gail's techniques to help train your dog really work and her no-nonsense style combined with a great sense of humor made the experience enjoyable even though it's a lot of hard work!! I highly recommend it!!

Dana Blanks

I enjoyed Gail's no nonsense style of training. The classes were hands on and very informative. My newly adopted year old Lab/Shepard mix was aggressive toward other dogs and this issue was resolved after 2 classes. The class size was perfect (6 people and 3 trainers), which made for excellent one on one interaction.

I enrolled my four-month Australian Shepherd puppy in Gail Clark's beginner class. Gail is a fountain of knowledge and information. She has a solution for every problem that the class would throw at her. Although I've had dogs before Gail showed me where some of my training techniques were wrong and how to correct them. My puppy is very high spirited and was easily distracted by other dogs during the learning to heel part of the training. Seeing my struggles, Gail jumped in and took over. The change in my pup's behavior was immediate, stunning and dramatic. Suddenly, she was totally attentive and instead of looking at other dogs she only had eyes for Gail. Gail is a true "dog whisperer!" I am now signed up to take private lessons with Gail and am looking forward to even better results!

Kristy Corkle

Gail's class is incredible! She is amazing and no BS! She has vast knowledge about dogs and is willing to share any of it with with you to set both you and your dog up for pure success! She had answers for any questions and has incredible help to conduct her flexible class schedules! I would take her class time and time again! I learned so much as did my dog. Her techniques used to help train your dog really do work! No shock collars, no pinch collars, no yelling out of frustration and dragging your dog around, simply you, positive reinforcement and repetition! That's it! She knows dogs! No joke! Go see her NOW!!!! She......is........AWESOME!!!!

Gail Clark helped me with a dog I adopted decades ago, and now she is helping our family with our high-maintenance puppy. Her knowledge and skills are amazing - she truly helps us understand why our animals are acting and reacting the way they are. Gail has helped us be better, more responsible dog owners and establish a deep, trusting bond with our puppy. We highly recommend her if you are not reaching your dog!

Debra Kessinger

We had our first class with Gail and her K9 Shrink staff last night. Our puppy is a fairly rare breed in this area so we were concerned about finding a trainer that could really help us. Luckily our vet recommended Gail to us and we were thrilled to find that she had experience with this breed. Even though our puppy is young and bouncy, we were able to gain knowledge and skills that will help him become a great member of the family. We saw real progress in just one session. She keeps the class size small enough so you can get the help you need. We can hardly wait for the next class!

Dr. Gail I. Clark, the K9 Shrink, is the real dog whisperer! We contacted her for assistance with an 18 month old collie rescue. He came from a backyard breeder, dealing with a severe case of neglect. We were unable to even approach him, as he had never experienced human contact. Within a week of Dr. Clark's guidance he is now like velcro! Wanting to be petted constantly, smiling, and improving every day. Dr. Clark literally saved this beautiful boy's life. Our only regret is that we are several states away and are unable to attend her obedience classes in person. For anyone looking for help with their canine companion look no further than Dr. Clark's K9 Shrink training, she is wonderful! Thank you, Dr. Clark!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gail Clark and K9 Shrink LLC. We have done classes and individual training and I recommend both highly. We have a challenging dog that we rescued from a difficult situation, and Dr. Clark's guidance and teaching have been invaluable. I only wish I had found K9 Shrink sooner. Other trainers and classes just didn't work for a dog like ours, but we've seen real results with Dr. Clark's methods. If we get another dog, I'll only work with K9 Shrink!

Gail and her staff are absolutely wonderful to work with! I appreciate the hands on training, knowledge, time, trust and care this team takes to make dog training such a success for both the handler and the team. I will always recommend this team to others. Thank you so much for making dog training such a fun and positive experience!!!

I first met Gail 9 years ago, when seeking help with my Kerry Blue terrier, Grace, who had a rabbit problem. Not only did Gail help me manage the rabbit problem, but she introduced us to competition obedience. Grace is now a Utility Dog, but more important, she's a dog that I know I can anywhere and she'll be friendly and a pleasure to have around. But now I have Tibbot! Tibbot is an 18 month, intact male Kerry, who is very headstrong and very terrier. I walk both dogs every day around the 1.5 mile loop in our neighborhood. Tibbot cannot walk past another dog without lunging and barking and I was having a hard time correcting the behavior. Because of his reactions, I didn't trust my skills to let Tibbot be around other dogs. So I asked Gail to join me on a walk in our neighborhood. I made plans with another neighbor and her dog to walk past us during our outing. As the other dog and handler approached, Gail took Tibbot's leash and sure enough, the undesirable behavior began. It only took Gail a few minutes to get Tibbot's focus redirected to her and get him quiet. We then resumed our walk, but this time it was all three dogs walking together. While Tibbots behavior was still not perfect, Gail continued to give him small corrections. I then took over the leash while Gail instructed me on giving useful corrections. About halfway, we paused to introduced the dogs and let them sniff each other. We started walking again and you could see how the body movement of the dogs began to relax. About then, another neighbor drove by, stopped his car, and commented that he was amazed to see Tibbot actually walk with another dog! It was a great learning experience. I'm so thankful that Gail could come to our house and our neighborhood. It's still a work in progress, for both Tibbot and myself. I know through continued training with Gail, that Tibbot will be a dog that I can take out in the public and not be embarrassed by his reactions. Thanks Gail!

As a client with Dr. Clark (I train and show with her) it is the basics in her beginning class that I have learned and continue to use to this day. Her method of properly introducing a fearful co-workers dog to a stranger was just used this morning with great success, and was a positive experience for all. Also having my own 3 dogs of differing age, those commands have easily been integrated into our everyday routine, making for an easy dog friendly life style. The best compliment I get is when company comes over and my dogs are well behaved and my husband brags about it.

Gail’s dog training class offered more than I expected. She uses a combination of positive reinforcement for desired behaviors and negative consequences for behaviors that are not desired. There were 6 or so dogs in our class and there were 2-3 instructors, in addition to Gail, helping us learn and apply the behavioral training techniques that we were using. The facility was large and never felt cramped. There is a comfortable seating area that my wife and I used when the other was working with our dog. While we had a puppy training, this class is not just for puppies. Some people may think that an older dog is a lost cause when it comes to behavior but that is not the case. There were a few older dogs in our class that we could see improvement in behavior over the course of the class. We had a great time and will be taking the next level of training.

My dog, Max, was attacked by an unleashed dog during a walk. After Max healed he was very hesitant to go on walks. After 1 session with Gail, Max completed a walk in the neighborhood.. She demonstrated several techniques and then had me try them. Wow! Her ideas worked. Don’t hesitate to give her a call if you need help!

We brought our Samoyed puppy Koda to K9 Shrink for puppy school. We have been extremely happy with the results. Koda is very high energy for a Samoyed, but the program laid out by K9 shrink really took hold with him. The ratio of trainers to students is excellent, and every one is extremely knowledgeable, and obvious dog lovers to boot. We will be enrolling him in the advanced class and are excited to see him progress even further.
