Dr. Shapiro has been fantastic with my children. He's been understanding, kind, patient, and very thorough. I would recommend him to any and everyone. He's a one man show, so appointments are a wait but they are well worth it. For the gentleman who wrote the bad review, I think you confused your father's psychiatrist with his psychologist. Psychologists can help psychiatrists prescribe medications from their recommendations and observations but they can not prescribe. Also, he doesn't have any staff, it's his waiting room and his office side by side. You only ever speak to him.

Do not go to this doctor! My 70 yr old uncle has been out of his meds for over a week an he just keeps blowing him off!! He will not get you your meds in a timely fashion. He will let u run out an fill it whenever he feels like it. His whole office is rude to all patients. Thay just want your money that don't care about people!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MEDS!!

I've been with Dr Shapiro , concidently, since 9-11. He's a wonderful doctor who listens, understands and has pretty much read my mind n order to help me through life's ups and downs. He's given me 4 neuropsychological evaluations over the years and has consulted back and forth with my psychiatrist to help manage my meds ect. He also did neuropsychological assement exams on my 4 children as mental illness runs in my family. To the gentleman, Dallas Hurt who left the negative review on him, with all due respect sir, perhaps you have mistakenly left a review for a different doctor on Dr Shapiro's reviews without realizing it? Dr Shapiro has never prescribed medications nor does he have a staff. I highly recomend this doctor

Dr. Shapiro was kind and caring dealing with my 78 year old mother. He spent an entire day administering tests, and treated her with great respect. In a later appointment, he spent hours reviewing results and making recommendations for her future care and treatment. He answered all our questions and did not rush to get us out of his office. I see someone a bad review complaining about not being able to get medication. Obviously it is bogus. Everyone knows that psychologists cannot write prescriptions. Also, Dr. Shapiro doesn’t have a staff, so the same negative reviewer’s complaint that staff is rude is false. In short, I found Dr. Schapiro to be kind, thorough, knowledgeable and accessible. I would refer anyone to him without hesitation.
