On July 9, 2019, joint counseling sessions between my son and his father were ordered. We agreed on LMFT Mitchell Rosen. My very first interaction with Mr. Rosen was nothing short of unprofessional. He was visibly annoyed with me and seemed upset that we were not able to accommodate his desired scheduling times. I explained from the start that my son has a very complex school and sport schedule and that appointments times would need to be flexible. I was asked to speak to him privately in his office where his tone and demeanor became threatening and aggressive. Mr. Rosen made is very clear, that he would not tolerate this and " you have no choice in the matter". At the following week's appointment, Mr. Rosen asked to speak to me following the therapy session. He began to ask about future session times and brought up the relationship between myself and him. This was thoroughly confusing. Mr. Rosen is not my therapist, nor do I have any intention of interactions with him besides weekly updates of my child's session with his father. I began to explain that the sessions have been hard for my son and it was becoming a struggle to get him to participate with therapy. Mr. Rosen cut me off mid sentence and proceeded to scream into my face, "I am not finished talking". My son was witness to the incident and was able to hear the scream through the closed car door. Not only is Mr. Rosen's behavior inappropriate and aggressive, he was using his size and body language to intimidate me. I refuse to allow my son participate in therapy with Mr. Rosen. I have been very compliant with the court order and am willing to find another therapist, however, these recent events are unacceptable and downright unsafe. Please consider removing Mr. Rosen from any court provider list. Not only is he volatile and inappropriate towards clients and their caregivers, he is aggressive and unstable around children. In addition to finding a new therapist, I intend on filing a formal complaint with the licensing board. This behavior is concerning and should be taken very seriously.

Mitchell is bright, humorous, compassionate and effective. I’ve known him for years and he always helps when I get “stuck” and need a tune up. Highly recommend him.

Very interactive with the group, gave each one an honest observation of their issues. He did well keeping the group on track. At age 70 I've been to many therapist, he is by far the best. I believe he can help us move towards our goals quickly.
