I recently had an appointment with Dr. Gulasekaram, Bala, better known as Dr. G, associated with Pacific Coast Health Systems, located in Cerritos, California. Unfortunately, my previous physician was no longer available, and I was left to fall into the hands of Dr. G, as the only remaining appointment that was 6 weeks out. My appointment was scheduled at a certain hour, on the hour, and of course I did not want to be late-physician appointments are usually unforgiving if a patient is late! However, in this case it was Dr. G who was 50 minutes late.
I was advised that Dr. G is ALWAYS running late by the secretary, which means all of his appointments get pushed back while the waiting room soon becomes like a bus terminal. When I simply voiced my disapproval to the doctor he simply replied "You can take it or leave it, or simply make another appointment for another day! What do you want to do?" Can you believe that guy??? What nerve! Like we all have that kind of time luxury. Hell, it took 6 weeks to get that appointment!
To make matters worse, he only gave me a very few minutes of his time, and wrote two prescriptions that later turned out to be invalid. Neither prescription would be honored by any licensed pharmacist due to some errors on the prescriptions made by Dr. G himself. What a bonehead! I get the feeling he did so intentionally only because I had the audacity to question him about being punctual for his patients. Yet, he still billed me AND IT WAS NOT CHEAP!!! Go figure? Talk about a lack of quality care not to mention a rip-off.
Well, the best I could do in kind was to file complaints with the Medical Board of California, the Better Business Bureau and formally grieve his bill of service with my health care provider. So, should you ever decide to visit Dr. G, and he is once again is running late, or screws up your superscription, do what I did. Who knows, maybe someday he just might recall his sworn professional oath from his mail-in medical degree that legally allows him to remain in practice.
Respectfully,
