I called this office at 9am when they opened to get a new prescription. It took the office manager and front desk lady Jessica all day until closing time to tell me that I needed to call my insurance. It is now too late and the offices are closed for the weekend. Horrible customer service. They don’t answer their phones when the pharmacy calls during work hours for 3hrs straight. Jessica in the front desk threatened to hang up on me. This office is a joke. Don’t call they won’t answer. Update. It is Monday morning the following week. I went to the office to file a compliant on how I was talked to last week to the office manager. She was very unfriendly with an angry face no smile she said that her staff is allowed to hang up on their customers and that she allows her staff to do that in the office. When I told her that is wrong she said to me you are causing a scene in front of other customers. She told me she was going to call the police on me if I didn’t leave the office and not come back and that she was not going to schedule any other appts with me for the future to see the doctor or to get my medicine. I was so upset at the way they treated and talked to me I filed a compliant with the insurance company and provided their names. I will never put up with this behavior this office is so unprofessional. I was appalled. First time visit and I never will return here. Gladly. Moving on and looking for a different doctor and more professional practice. People that actually care and want to help for there money. Not just there to collect a paycheck

THE VERY BEST DOCTOR YOU WILL EVER FIND!!!! I have been a patient of Dr. Alkhouri's for 7 years now and unfortunately for me I am moving out of state and will have to leave him. I have recommended him to many and I do mean many friends, family and aquantences over the years. I have put full faith and trust in him and his practiceof medicine. In these past 7 years he has helped me to achieve a level of serenity and peace with my disorder and the meds are working well for me and when they are not we work together on the change. He is by no means a pill pusher! He truly cares about each and every one of his patients. He has also brought on a few amazing new staff to help with the over flow.. wonderful Psychiatirst, Therapist, Psychologist, and Nurse Practioner. So if you are looking for an all around Metal Health care office this is the best you will find in Glendora!

Dr. Wadie A. Alkhouri, MD (License #51885) uses his authority at Canyon Ridge Hospital to over prescribe unnecessary drugs, going against the instructions of primary physicians. When people refuse to take his prescriptions, he holds them on a 5250 observation. It's like something out of a horror movie. This guy is clearly more motivated by insurance claims than patient care. A very unethical physician, I am filing a Medical Board Complaint against him.

I was diagnosed as bipolar disorder in 1987. I have had great psychiatrists and night mare ones. Dr Alkhouri is excellentd. I read the negative reviews. I believe those persons had trouble communicating their needs. Dr. Alkhouri knows medications and their side effects. He has worked worked with me in selecting them; recently I turned down one that was too strong. He listens to the part of our lives that is pertinent but he is not a psychologist. You and I need a psychiatrist that can help us lead a “normal” life- he can do this.

10/10 Would not recommend Dr. Alkhouri. He is not interested in his patients' well-being but rather in prescribing meds.

I absolutely love this office! Everyone so friendly and professional. I appreciate the reminder calls as well, not many offices still do that. Dr. Alkhouri and Dr. Garcia have been such a blessing for my family. I highly recommend anyone to see them.

An awful experience. my husband was admitted under Dr Wadie Alkhouri’s care. The Dr prescribed half a pill. It took 25 days to get an appointment after his discharge from the hospital and he started to get symptoms again. I kept calling the office and there was no reply for one week. His symptoms were worse and are still getting worse. The reception doesn’t answer and I’m constantly waiting. I got a call from Adult day healthcare center that the medicine that was prescribed by the doctor was not working and his condition was getting worse.

I've been a patient of Dr. Alkhouri since December 2005. He takes his time with his patients and really listens to what I have to say. In reading some of the reviews on this page, I'm completely baffled! I've never had an issue getting an appointment or getting my necessary prescriptions. I'm always sure to give the office plenty of time to get my prescriptions ready and I do not try to get them filled the day I'm running out although that HAS been the case from time to time and they've always obliged. The office staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, especially Tiffany, Kaitlyn and Jessica. Office visit wait times can run a little long but it's only because Dr. Alkhouri is doing a thorough job going over the questions and concerns of his patients. I HIGHLY recommend this office for your mental health needs.

This practice is a joke. They have a policy in place to never give out more than a month of prescriptions when the law clearly states it is legal to give up to 90 days of a controlled substance. The receptionist flatly told me they refuse to do so because they assume people are going to "take too much and overdose". What these people are actually doing it bilking your insurance company out of a session fee every month and you out of a copay. Oh yeah I forgot to mention their copay is CASH ONLY hmmm wonder if they bother to report that to the IRS.

The staff and doctors are unbelievably professional. They treat you with the highest respect. It is always nice walking into the office to see the receptionist Jessica smiling and greeting me with the best customer service I’ve ever had from the doctor’s office. When I call worried about anything she helps me so much. She is so friendly and helpful. The office manager Tiffany and Kaitlyn who both have helped with insurance benefits and billing questions have always been answered; also, I always get a call back when I leave messages. Dr.Alkhouri is one of the best doctors out there by far. He has helped me in so many ways with my mental health and I’m so grateful to be under his care. Everyone in this office cares 100% and more.

Crazy Math teacher

I came in this office and it was crazy, not recommend to come in late afternoon However This young lady in the front was getting some very rude comments from a patient and she just kept herself so professional and smiled and kept saying she understood as to me, myself would of told this lady to shove it where the sun don’t shine ! I told her she did a very good job and handled the situation great she gave me a patient packet to take home and bring back but she was so sweet with all the craziness and is a great face for this office! Her name escapes me but that’s with age, she had long curls and a beautiful smile and frogs on her top!!! If you see this sweetie keep up the good work !
