When things were looking really bad for my daughter, I decided to get her the help she needed at Centered Health. The program she was put in helped immensely. What a relaxing place! Alot of rehab facilities are not nice at all and the staff are very rude. But this place is beautiful! It looks so relaxing! Of you need to send family or ven friends to a rehab- this is the place to go. It will be relaxing, staff are friendly and you will feel like a million bucks! Their service down here was amazing, my nephew had good things to say about the facility and their care. we had access to him and had Skype sessions so we could regularly check up on his improvement which was so evident. The majority if not all the reviews are fake. They were ordered from Fiverr. I know this because I was the one who ordered them. Read the reviews carefully . Some say the child has been sober for 10 years. The facility hasn’t even been opened for more than 3 years. The owner Nuchie Shapiro pays contractors for clients, very illegal !! This place has been investigated on numerous occasions . Only a matter of time before it gets shut down

The son of a close friend was sent here for treatment after attending multiple facilities that did nothing to help his addiction. I'm happy to report that he is doing much better now. From what he told me, the facility is very welcoming and based in a beautiful location with lots of activities for the teens to do. Although he was there for treatment, he really enjoyed himself and felt like the staff and faculty really wanted to help him get better. Based on this, I would highly recommend this place for troubled teens.

Centered Health is a rehab facility located in California. They specialize in the treatment of mental health, substance abuse for the younger population. This type of facility is so needed in this day and age. We need to reach the young people to get them to open up, not make these issues so taboo.

The bulk of these reviews are not from real people. And there are more being added all over the internet every week...Yelp, Indeed etc..that are clearly written by other people. The center hasn't even had that many clients.... Go to the link for each of the "reviewers" and you will see that somehow they manage to get all around the world and the U.S. and give reviews - and all 5 star! How about that!? All of these use the same bad English and grammar, too - so obvious. Nuchie Schapiro, you really have outdone yourself! Schapiro is also the owner of Mark's House in Agoura Hills, CA. He doesn't want anyone to know that for some reason. In fact, he doesn't want anyone to know he has anything to do with either of his facilities: Bailard House in Malibu, CA, or Mark's House. Incredibly secretive. Lies to parents when they call him and says he has nothing to do with the facility and that they have the wrong number. Freaks out that they've even been able to get his number. Lies to staff and contractors to manipulate them into doing his dirty work such as dealing with state officials when they visit, which is frequently. Multiple citations from the state and violations of safety such as allowing many staff to work there without their background check being complete. Go to the DSS site and search facility number 1 9 8 2 0 9 2 0 5 to see the citations. Tries to get staff to lie to the state as well about the same things he's already been cited for. Thinks he's above the law and the rules don't apply to him but doesn't mind making his staff take the fall for it. Why the State hasn't shut him down yet, I don't know. As you can see, there are good reasons he doesn't want to be associated with his facilities. He just wants to run them but have no one know that he runs them. Do NOT send your loved one here. They will not be in safe or caring hands. There are many other, far better and safer options.

I recommend this treatment center without hesitation because my nephew received treatment at Centered Health in Malibu early in the year 2017. My brother's family and I were extremely impressed with the results achieved within a very short time of treatment and this I guess is due to the lovely location and high quality of service rendered at the Malibu center. Even though We lived out of town, we could easily reach out to my Nephew when we needed to because they had an approved call list which allowed the Staff allowed me or my brother to speak with my nephew several times in order to encourage him and provide the necessary moral support he needed to combat his addiction. They really understood the role family members had to play in aiding recovery from substance addiction, so they allowed him to call me or his father (my brother) from time to time when need be and vice versa, the calls were either through regular voice calls or SKYPE sessions so We felt very much carried along. The physical premises of centered health even looked more beautiful and cleaner than the pictures on their website. A lot of time and effort was put into the planning, design, and construction of the treatment center, the swimming pool, and the views are breathtaking. These contributed towards swaying our mind towards choosing centered health in Malibu over the other treatment centers we came across when researching for a treatment center for my nephew. In Summary, I rate them 5 stars for the quality of service rendered because it was way more than the money paid. Great place!

I'm writing this on behalf of my Sister. She has been battling addiction for years and needed help. So I decided to try and find a place where she could go to get that help. The place that I found was Centered Health and it really was a godsend for her and our family. Her recovery is going good and she seems to be more interested in things and has started taking online classes for an IT degree. So I'm proud of her and proud to say that Centered Health helped my sister become happier and less dependent. I would also like to note that she enjoyed the yoga sessions that they had there and the location is top-notch too!

This is a poorly run facility with a lack of overnight and ethics. We realized this too late and hopefully this saves other parents from making the mistake we did. This facility has very high staff turn over which is hurtful to teens that need stability. Some of the group professionals who contract are good but the bottom line is, the organization is run by someone who wants to hide from his clients. The owner is a Jewish man named Nuchie Schapiro and no matter what kind of dissatisfaction you may express, he will NEVER show his face or assume responsibility for anything. The objective of this organization is to make money at the cost of your teen and a healthy insurance policy. They did not help us at all. It was a waste of time and money. We jumped into this based on recommendations only to find the recommender was on the payroll (99.9% confident). The reviews all over the place about Centered Health have to be fabricated. They all sound the same and trust me, no teenagers would write all those reviews. There are companies who will charge you money to write testimonials and I believe they have done that. They read as if they written by a person in India. Sandy S, Chad B, etc etc, There is simply no one in charge at this place. Staff comes and goes through out the day applying inconsistent rules. Some are professional and some are not. The kids get away with a lot and there are legitimate complaints with the Community Care and Licensing that are published. However that organization has a narrow scope of authority. No matter how competent the person answering the phone sounds, you are not likely speaking to someone at the facility. And I can assure you we were very drawn in by the admissions person, Kristin. Don't make the mistake. What looks beautiful on the surface, with great food prepared by chefs and ocean views, is honestly NOT. The owner is opening another similar facility called Marks House in Agoura and it will be just as lovely but lacking integrity, ethics, and empathy for your son or daughter. Keep looking - this is NOT a place you want to place your child. You will very much regret trusting your teen's future to this organization.

Centered Health is the most incredible treatment center . My 15 year old son was spiraling out of control . He was struggling with mental health issues and substance abuse, his behavior was horrific at home and school . He was extremely defiant and difficult going into the program , the staff handled it with grace and compassion . A therapist called me after a difficult phone call I had from him just to reassure me he’d be ok. She didn’t have to do that but that is the treatment you receive from everyone there. Every single staff member goes above and beyond to make sure your child feels safe and secure. The staff is easily accessible should you have questions or concerns, And returns phone calls and emails ASAP . My 15 year old is like a new kid , he learned so much in his time there. He has a new chance at life because of Centered Health. I would recommend this treatment center 100 times over . You will feel peace knowing your child is in a place with people who treat him/ her like family. Thank you centered health , we are so grateful !

I’ve never seen my sister so happy and healthy looking as she is now. We sent her to Centered Health when she hit complete rock bottom, I hate to say it but I honestly didn’t think there was much hope left after so many failed attempts, but they performed a miracle! What I really like about this program is that it involves helping, healing and teaching the teen how to make better choices and to be a better person. There are so many teens who are on drugs, have behavioral issues and the likes, but it takes a facilitiy like Centered Health to be there when all else fails them. This place is not good at all!! The owner pays for those good reviews the whole place is joke. Management is horrible you never see the owner, and is run by super young staff that have no clue what there doing. My brother needed help with his behavior problem. He had been acting out, he was destructive, and he was angry. So far, none of the help he received was working. In a big step to help him, my parents sent him to Centered Health for treatment. He had really nice counselors and was able to work through some of his problems. It is hard to find the right rehab place that doesn't feel like a rehab, it is hard to be supportive of them when they're doing their thing. Thankful for this place. With a place like this I have comfort knowing that my family/friends will be taken care of, they will feel relaxed, and it won't feel like an actual rehab facility. I stumbled upon Centered Health when I was researching for centers within California that help adolescents struggling with addiction because I have an adolescent son struggling with substance abuse. I made a quick visit to their website and what they ticked all the right boxes. I made a quick check on Google about the facility and I was quite satisfied with what other people had to say about Centered Health, I then decided to give the facility a trial. On my first visit to the facility, I was taken aback by the beauty and serenity of the residential facility at Malibu, the views of the Pacific Ocean from the facility is quite therapeutic itself. The staffs on duty that day were warm and hospitable and my son instantly liked the Centered Health Malibu facility. I think this played an important part in helping him combat his addiction quickly because he was impressed and accepted their help which is key, the mindset of the client determines how fast and how efficient the treatment for substance abuse will be at such facilitates. My son was properly taken care of in terms of accommodation and feeding and I am glad he liked it there because I was quite worried about leaving my son in the care of people who I was not sure about. My son still talks about the individual and group therapy sessions he had in the course of his stay especially the Yoga sessions which he has continued to practice ever since he left the facility. I have observed a great deal of positive change in his attitude and character from his stay at Facility and I am very happy I took the decision to send him to Centered Health, The money I spent on my son’s health at the facility is way lesser than the quality of service I received on my son’s battle with substance addiction, I am so indebted to the management and staff of this wonderful facility who place a premium of the satisfaction of their clients. I am so impressed I have little or no recommendations for them; I only hope they continue to sustain the quality of care delivery because it is already top notch. My son has improved considerably ever since I first took him to this wonderful facility. I am so impressed that I had to come back online to leave my own testimony about their effective and comprehensive program for adolescents dealing with substance addiction.

I was here for a month was cornered in rooms the therapist are wonderful, but other then that the staff are completely disrespectful, selfish, and exaggeritive. The view and most activities such as surfing, equine, yoga, improv ext. but i couldnt feel safe with the treats of long-term and the volger name that they would call the clients

I heard about Centered Health from my colleague at work who has a child dealing with substance abuse when I was researching for centers within California that can help my son with his challenge. I did further research about them online through their website as well as on Google and I was quite impressed with other people’s experience shared online about Centered Health, When I finally made up my mind to try them out, I was quite impressed with the Malibu facility because It was beautiful and well organized and this was quite surprising because the cost of the stay was relatively cheap compared to the quality of service availed my son. The house has some nice views of the Pacific, I also have some nice things to say about the staffs and management who run the Centered Health Malibu facility because they were quite polite and friendly each time I visited the premises or called to speak with my son. My son so far has not given any complaints about the facility or the quality of treatment he is currently receiving so I will encourage the management of the Centered Health to keep up the good work because I have observed a positive change in his attitude and character from his stay at Facility and I am glad I finally made that life-changing decision to send him to Centered Health at Malibu.

i was skeptical about taking my son to a rehab when we realized he had become an addict because i wasn't sure of their modus operandi. A friend told me about this place and i was glad i gave them a shot.They didn't let the distance matter as they made it so seamless. they have the best therapy treatment, the facility is so on point it feels like home. they are accredited so they go with the best practices. my kid was in professional and competent hands, he came out a changed man. thanks to centered health for making us a proud parent

The doctors at Centered Health are great. My brother went there for help with his drug use. My parents have tried everything, but he was not getting better. I have no idea how this place is still open! Staff falls asleep on over nite shifts, one girls was able to AWOL and managed to hop in a strangers car, never to be seen again, 3 patients were able to sneak out and break into a liquor store and bring back ciggs and alcohol, they hire addicts still in out patient recovery, staff would even give the clients cigarettes so they'd "behave", There's so much more that's wrong with this facility it's a joke! If you want your child to get help, send them to a well known treatment facility.

We had a horrible experience with this facility and the staff. While the website looks wonderful and it all seems great on the surface, it's not. My son didn't get the help he needed, there was no arranged after care, he was teased by other patients, and he was bitten by another patient during his stay. The staff turnover is unlike anything I've ever seen. This place is owned by a selfish, uncaring person who would NEVER speak with me directly or return my calls. My son's private medical records were exposed publicy due to poor security or one of the many disgruntled employees this place had. A HIPAA complaint had to be filed. I found the overall processes were lacking and people were extremely unprofessional. You need to be cautious about the reviews out here as FIVERR has a service and you can pay to have positive reviews posted and ask all your staff to post reviews too. Why do you think there are so many? That's a red flag right there. I'm writing this because I believe that has happened and people need to know from real parents who really saw the behind the scenes activity what reality may look like if you send your child here. My recommendation would be to look elsewhere and not be drawn in by the ocean, private chef, etc. None of that matters when you have a drug addicition - what matters is a secure environment with top notch professional help.
