Repeated issues with receiving meds, I went into withdrawals without my lexapro. Therapists wouldn’t show up but they’d have us sign into group so our insurance could still bill us. The fbi apparently raided the headquarters. I genuinely loved my therapist though. She worked probably 12 hour days to get to all the patients and she is a beautiful person. I am thankful for Greta but Sovereign was honestly one of my worst fears come true in a treatment.

Never, ever come here...it could cost you, or your loved one's their life. If it is a matter of life and death...go to the ER or the psych unit. Not even kidding. It is like American Horror Story Asylum. If you’re serious about getting help DONT CHOOSE SOVEREIGN! If you thought you needed help and knew what trauma was before you came...believe me you are going to learn what it really means here! Staff is insane, manipulative, dishonest, LAZY, and even emotionally and mentally abusive. Also, understand going in that you won't be receiving any medication, or food, or any type of THERAPY during your stay. You're simply a body taking up space like a prisoner while they milk your benefits for all you're worth. Good luck trying to leave too by the way...you literally are a prisoner because they allow you to leave but refuse to surrender your personal things like WALLET and PHONE. So essentially if you leave you will be on the streets and NO ONE will be able to find, or help you. Photos NOT accurate by the way. Buildings and houses falling apart, filthy from ware and use, lack of cleaning and maintenance, grass and weeds literally several feet tall and HUGE pest control problem. Girls waking up covered in bites from head to toe. Staff “loses” people’s valuables. They have weekly “meetings” where they ask you what they can “improve”. Despite pleading for relief from all these problems (food, medication, lack of clinical care and counseling, housing conditions, abusive staff both clinical and operational, etc.) the true purpose of this meeting is to remind everyone in captivity that it is their fault they are there, that they are wastes of human society because we sought the treatment they advertised, and therefore we deserve EVERYTHING that’s happened AND happening. They tell you we should be grateful for how difficult and horrid the conditions are and that if we are unhappy with ANYTHING we are just weak and not using the “skills” they supposedly teach (which they don’t). Internal and external Complaints about Sovereigns attitude, insurance fraud, and lack of treatment and care are thrown back at patients in the form of gaslighting and victim blaming as "so you're going to play the victim game for the rest of your life? You think the whole world is against you? It's all everyone else's fault and never yours? Etc.” Loved ones are lied to and told everything is fine and or that Sovereign is sorry and resolving problems as requested. They aren’t and they don’t care. This is what "Treatment" is like at Sovereign. Their interest is in your money...not in your life. RESPONSE: I just ran into one of your staff the other day:). Your “World Class Treatment and Staff” LOL

Thank God I never had to be here as the reviews are horrific! However I can relate because as a person who lives in the vicinity, I have had issues with the noise from the lawn people and the debris that falls into my yard which they do not pick up. Tree limbs, leaves etc. I went to speak to them about it and they were very rude and condescending and nothing got resolved. Today the lawn service started their leaf blowers at 6:30am on a Sat. It is now 2 and 1/2 hrs later and they are still going and have been going non stop. I am ready to be admitted to anywhere but here!! So the reviews seem legite to me. Hope someone investigated this place. They seem to have a lot of serious problems. Good luck to everyone, I hope you all will do well in the future! God bless!

Hard time seeking medical attention, medication and therapy were not always available. Had my therapy taken away from me 1/3 of the way through my stay as they kept insisting I was too close to leaving. Safety concerns were met with no results, and general concerns were often met with attitude from higher members of staff, if I could even find them as some members openly admitted to avoiding patients. Not all activities as offered on the website, such as outings were always available despite funding from insurance being paid for the activities.

If you value your loved one, do NOT send her here. I spent 77 days in that circle of hell that Danté forgot to mention in The Inferno, and I am still dealing with the fall out, even though I was medically cleared to leave. Their billing practices are HIGHLY unethical and they violate HIPAA repeatedly, then blame it on you; so, you feel as though you have no recourse. I left early 2016 and mid way through 2017, over a year later, I received a phone call about how I received a check that should have gone to them from the insurance company. Let's forget for a moment that, at this point in 2017, I no longer had the same insurance. I never received a check, which means they are either horrible bookkeepers, or are trying to extort money. I believe the latter is more plausible. Also, months before this exchange happened I told them to never contact me again because of the horrific experience, and informed them that if it were to happen again, I would happily give them my lawyer's phone number. During that latest phone call I began to give them the phone number and they ended the conversation and I have not heard a word since (hence, why I think there are definitely illegal billing procedures and multiple instances of insurance fraud taking place). Also, when you check in, they confirm your insurance and inform you of the process in how they fill your prescriptions. However, they do not give your insurance information to the pharmaceutical company; so, you come home to bills, sometimes, worth thousands of dollars after spending thousands there, already, in the hopes of getting better. Finally, and worst of all, the head psychologist there, referred to as Dr. Pat, is a "former" wife abuser for this ALL WOMEN'S facility. Maybe he stopped abusing his wife, I don't know (I only know what he told me, which was he went to a support group and stopped), but he definitely still needs work in that area of life. He continually makes the women there feel small by his condescending attitude, and takes no responsibility about how his actions affect his patients. Personally, he told me that pursuing my passions would never make me happy because I was doing it for the wrong reasons. He had a) never asked me what it was and b) why I had chosen to pursue a post-graduate degree. Though I am not a psychologist, or LPC, or anywhere close to those things, I would hazard a guess that he is easily intimidated by strong and intelligent women, which is why he struggles at this particular facility. The women who come here are some of the strongest and impressive women I have ever met. I tried to file a complaint about him with the Arizona State Medical Board, but they have no license number listed for him and no one would give out that information. Thus, reporting to the correct departments became an impossibility. I am absolutely STUNNED this place is still open.

I was just there this week Monday the 23rd through Saturday the 28th first I get told it's not the right place for me then second get told oh your insurance doesn't cover you staying here then third get told I have to go back home to out patient treatment because I have a learning disability and an eating disorder and that's not what there facility is for plus someone from staff or whoever told my grandmother that I wasn't going to group therapy or participating which is a big lie because I was I came there for trauma, mental health,a little bit of substance abuse and eating disorder as the days went by I got comfortable and loved it untill I got told oh you have a learning disability and eating disorder sorry don't have the resources for that and discharged me for no reason when I should be there for 90 days and also i kept getting told I was going to see and meet my case manager Lauren s. And never did while there I even kept asking and it was excuse after excuse sincerely Lisette pope

2.5 years later and I have not recovered from the neglect and negative/punishing treatment I received at this horrible place. Believe EVERYTHING negative you read. There are NO activities, ... Do not go...do not send your loved ones. Needs to be SHUT DOWN !
