If I could give zero stars I would. They have been incredibly unprofessional, unreliable, unethical, and unhelpful in management of my accounts and relationship and I would suggest anyone in need of the treatment(s) they claim to offer, to not even chance the level of service you will receive and seek care elsewhere. They should honestly lose their licensing in my opinion and minimally should have their procedures and practices investigated. I am honestly appalled with my experience. Seek care elsewhere.

Worst office staff experience. Often overbook appointments and call last minute to reschedule or cancel. Office staff leaves at five but continue to have appointments past that time. Rude and act like you are troubling them. Can't seem to hold on to their staff. Made an appointment six weeks in advance and was told a week before appointment that it was being cancelled due to that psychiatrist leaving the practice. Had to argue to see someone else. Now this one is leaving too!

me and my wife just moved to Arizona from Texas 5 months ago. Were young and had just started seeing psychiatrists a year ago. We knew finding a doctor here ASAP was first priority. This place blows chunks though. Dr. Hindin is rude, judgemental, a know-it-all and will invalidate your concerns about your current medications or mood reactions. She wouldn't let me in the room with her and my wife to ease my wife's anxiety during the appointment. She said that that wasnt how she was "trained" and that it wasnt her comfort zone. Like what? My wife stuggles with bipolar and Dr. Hindin straight up told her that the moods my wife feels whenever they change are not indicative of bipolar at all and asked if my wife was really sure that she was bipolar. As if bipolar has a strict outline of the exact emotions you NEED to feel with your mood swings in order to qualify. This was at the central Phoenix location. I however had to make my appointment in Chandler as they told me was the location that handled pediatrics and depression and I HAD to go there instead of the central Phoenix location where we live. It was as if not all of their doctors had a universal education on psychiatric conditions and disorders, as if some were comfortable with one or the other. Stupid. The provider I saw there said she had no problem with my wife sitting in with me for my appointment, and I saw a nurse practitioner, not a PhD!! But even THEN the NP I saw apparently works for Dr. Z, and after "evaluating" me the NP brought in Dr. Z and had a conversation about me in FRONT of me about what I had just told the NP. Why not let me explain it to the doctor? Why wasnt he in the room in the first place, or furthermore, why does the NP have to have you in the room after shes talked to me? She already had a plan for me so I didnt understand why she had to repeat it all to him while I was in the room. Even SHE was shocked and weirded out by the fact that I told her my anxiety was still bad despite the meds I'm on. She said "well that shouldn't happen on that medication, are you sure that's how you're feeling?" Oh no excuse me I'm making all this stuff up so I can get on these super cool antidepressants. I made the whole thing up about my tragic past and anxiety disorder! Silly me. I guess every drug should make everything disappear and I cant have any adverse reactions to these meds, as they are perfect in every way. This practice in general has no atmosphere either, no music, no art, just plain and grey with staff who really wish they were anywhere but there. The staff isnt even rude, you can just tell they all hate their job. That should tell you a lot about a place.

Great place. Good people. Great service

After being a patient at the Chandler location for almost a year, i missed 2 appointments and they DROPPED me as a client. I am probably one of their easiest and most polite clients, and they didnt even bother to return my voicemail when I called in asking to reschedule. I had to call 3 times before reaching someone to let me know they would no longer see me at ANY of their locations. Even if I paid the late charges! That really makes me feel like a valued client. The psychiatrist i was seeing has an extensive record of my med changes and the last time i called I actually needed help with filling out paperwork for my sleep disorder for work! Now i have to find a brand new doctor who doesnt know anything about my history to fill out paperwork in a week. Thanks so much redemption chandler. I'll be turning away everyone I know from your practice.

It took alot for me to decide I needed some help. So I finally made an appointment. The website told what address to go to and what time. I show up and the staff tells me my appointment is at a different location. I had to drive to the chandler location and when I got there they told me my appointment would be 20 minutes shorter since I was late? It's their damn website that screwed me over. I just wanted some damn help.

The people here are very good at listening and helping to find solutions. And the environment is nice and chill.

We loved Dr. Z! He is no longer there. Got stuck with Dr. Browder. Poor choice. Bad bedside manner. One appointment with my son and decided she didn't want to be his provider anymore.

Where do I begin. I was "ORIGINALLY" scheduled for an 11:30 am appt. Then i received an email reminder stating it was for :11am at Gilbert location. I show up to Gilbert office then they tell me i was at wrong clinic and I was going to need to reschedule because I would be "late". I show up.to Chandler office and the receptionist says I can still see dr but it wont be an hr visit but it would be billed like one. So I said never mind. I leave. Then I get a call back stating they had a cancellation of I wanted to take the 3pm. I said "of course". I canceled my hair and nail appts to show up to this appt. I show up at 230pm. 30 MINUTES EARLY!!!! 30 min go by and nothing. So at 315pm I go and ask the receptionist "how much longer" and she said "I had already told him u were here. I'll send him another message. Another 5 min go by and still NO DOCTOR. By this time I'm effen upset so what's the use. So I go back to receptionist. Ask for my money back. Ask for managers card. And of course same phone number to EVERYONE. I can't stress enough if DOCTORS here don't like their job. CHANGE IT!!! and in case you are wondering what UNPROFESSIONAL doctor I was scheduled to see was JOHN ZAHAROPOULOS. I wouldn't recommend this place for new patients.

I was under the care of two specialists at Redemption Psychiatry. I would not recommend anyone to go see any type of treatment here. The front office staff is ill equipped for the volume of patients and though friendly they are incompetence with billing I am still, two years later paying off a $3,000 bill from Cigna because the front office staff did not collect the correct co payment amount due to the front office staff member being uncomfortable asking for that large of a co pay. The nursing staff is poor at communicating especially when, as a patient with mental disabilities often happens, crises arise.

During my first visit, Kara decided she was not going to allow me to have my firearm. She called the police on me, and had me surrounded by officers. I asked if could leave my firearm with my wife, but she would not allow that either. She lied to the police saying I made statements that I wanted to hurt myself, and that I was going to use my gun to hurt myself. Please know that she will lie to your face while she's calling and waiting for the police, and then she will say what ever she needs to to get them to do what she wants.

I’ve been coming to Redemption Psychiatry with my family for several years now, and the help they’ve given me in that time has been invaluable. They’ve helped me restore my quality of life and I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Suzanne Economon

I have been battling anxiety and PTSD for years. The doctors at Redemption understand my conditions more than any doctors that I have seen in the past. They offer services that provide more than just medication for treatment which after all of this time is a relief. I would not consider going anywhere else.

They're imposible to get ahold of! I've been calling for the past few weeks and leaving messages, but no one has called me back. I've been off my meds for over two weeks now.

Worst experience with any doctor's office ever. If you need a timely response to an issue do not go here. There was an issue with a prescription they wrote. The pharmacy tried to contact them for 2 weeks and got no response. I left 3 voicemails and didn't hear back, and after finally getting a live person to answer the phone was told it would be fixed within the hour. 3 hours later, nothing. When I called again (again multiple tries before reaching a live person) they said it hadn't been signed off on, so couldn't be sent out. And the doctor had already left for the day. She just couldn't have been bothered to actually complete her duties for the day and actually help her patients. This is by far the worst office I have EVER been to. On top of all that, they completely lost my original appointment. I regret giving them a second chance at this point. If you're looking for a terrible, 2-week long experience of unreturned calls, stress, and having to stop psychiatric medications cold turkey because they can't do their jobs, this is the place for you. If you want to feel like the staff actually cares about you and have any confidence in your doctor, DO NOT GO HERE.

I was seeing someone on Dr. Friday's team. Promptly after meeting me, with no psych evaluation, she told me I'm not Bipolar. I have been diagnosed Bipolar on multiple different occasions. I told her my current psychologist also thought I might have BPD, she told me every woman has BPD and it doesn't really exist. Okay, so a condition in the DSM-5 apparently doesnt't exist. Gotcha. Not planning on going back after that. I liked Dr. Friday, but not enough to put up with that.

Made an appointment a month away for a specific testing, go in for 15 min. Just so she could tell me that she recommends that I do the testing that I originally scheduled to do that would again be a month away, so I do that then the next time I took the testing she tells me that she is moving offices that doesn't take my insurance & prescribes meds that took a week for them to call into the pharmacy, if i would have never kept calling in to ask where is my prescription, I would have never gotten it, overall I do not recommend them to anyone.

Dr. Bermudez is PHENOMENAL!! He has treated my son for the past year and is now treating my other son. This has been the best experience I’ve ever had with my children and I owe it all to Redemption Psychiatry and Dr. Bermudez especially! Trust me, when I state Dr. Bermudez has vast knowledge and expertise in medicine. I’ve run the gamet of poor providers in my lifetime from personal experience as well as working in psychiatric nursing and will recommend Dr. Bermudez and Redemption Psychiatry to all I encounter. The staff is friendly, kind, compassionate and empathetic. Thank you to all of you for being so amazing!! Gina C

I personally want to thank everybody at Redemption Psychiatry for changing my life and my son's life. If it wasn't for everybody at Redemption Psychiatry I dont believe we would be here today. I want to personally thank Dr Ryan Dr Friday Jeremy Jeremy Jeremy Stephanie Tracy Nick Jolene everyone of you have touched my life in a way that you can never imagine. I have suffered with depression my entire life and today I can say I finally love myself thanks to TMS and ketamine treatments. If I could give them ten thousand stars I would. I see a lot of negative comments on here but that's not the case not the case in any way. When my son was hospitalized Dr Ryan called me everyday to check up on my son and myself to make sure that we were both okay tell me what doctor does that. I've had 13 psychiatrist during my 51 years and these guys are top notch don't believe all the bad reviews because I'm telling you that they are amazing. They have thousands and thousands of patients so you can't please everybody but let me tell you they sure did change our lives and to them I give them 1 million thank yous and I'm going to continue to go there because that's the only place I want to go for my psychiatric needs ever again. Thank you Redemption Psychiatry. Thank you thank you a million times thank you and for all you haters out there haters going to hate hate hate hate hate. Maybe you should quit being so impatient and whiny. And for all you happy Redemption psychiatric fans post something good about these hard-working loving caring individuals because they deserve the love because they love their patients and they love and care for us and we feel it every time we walk through those doors. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.

After waiting three months to get a follow up appointment, being cancelled on multiple times and switching locations I was finally able to get into the office the other day. When I started going here I specifically stated that I would, for reasons of my health, only like female practitioners. I had an appointment with a female I had met with and was comfortable with before. However, when I got to my appointment without warning I was led into a tiny room with two men I had never met before. I was only in to get a sign off on refills but Dr. Friday tried to force multiple medications and treatments, including one that wasn’t yet coved by insurance companies for its experimental nature, on me after I said no repeatedly. I almost had a panic attack when I left the office because he made me so uncomfortable.

Colleen Astalos

DO NOT GO HERE!!! BEWARE!!! Waited 10 minutes on hold to be told they couldn't find the submission requesting a appointment. I had received a call back. So they lose personal information and chalk it up to new staff or something. Unprofessional and now I will be signing up a minor for credit monitoring. Looking into legal action. Miss handing of personal information is a HIPPA violation if I remember right.

Not only are the doctors the best I've found in 25+ years of seeing these types of specialists all over The Metro Phoenix area, but the front and back office staff are professional and friendly at the same time. I truly feel welcome whenever I visit. All three of us in our family are getting care from this excellent healthcare team.

Lill B

I give full 100% credit of my positive ketamine treatment experience to the nurse Jeanee McDaniel. She goes out of her way to make you feel as comfortable as possible, never judges you, and really cares how you are feeling. When she isn't there, my experience just isn't the same. If you are on the fence about coming here, request Jeanne. She'll take good care of you. I had another nurse take care of me once, and I just didn't get the positive vibes that Jeanne has to offer.

Mark Platt

The Chandler location has probably the worst front office organization I have ever seen. The billing is the worst ever!! I have receipts from them for paid invoices, yet they still send me overdue notices. A phone call to billing (if you can even get to talk to someone) results in total confusion and uncertain answers on their end, nobody can give me straight answers and has no clue to what is going on. Being billed for a "no-show" appointment, even after I had called the day prior, no follow through, seems like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. You literally must show up at the counter with all your paperwork to get it all straight. Needs huge improvement!!

Linda

The staff are amazing. They helped me after hours and when they had to fax me something they got a hold of my psychiatrist immediately and returned my form back right away. My psychologist is knowledgeable and takes a more holistic approach, and the meds she prescribed are working. She also listens and is empathic. I will be seeing a counselor soon and will write about that as well.

This place meets its purpose for diagnosing and medicating but definitely do not take a child here for a first visit about their mental health. The bedside manner is terrible. Very harsh, matter of fact, and cold. Basically "Here's the problem. Here's some pills." I would expect a little more warmth and tender wording when there is a 6 year old in the room. Nope.

Bradlee Clark

Appointments are no good here. You show up only to hear them say, "Oh... An emergency came up." Well, thanks for the phone call before I drove 25 miles to get here.

K S

Made me feel worse. My first 2 visits were with Mia Abdouni, FNP. I have no idea why she chose this profession. She is rude and makes you feel worse. She is condescending and has zero beside manner for people who are fragile. I seriously couldn't believe how I was treated, she should not be in this field of medicine. I complained and then got scheduled with Dr. Friday who was the opposite. Caring and friendly and willing to listen. If I ever need help again I would ONLY see Dr. Friday.

Declan Fulton

I came on here to give the address to my friend but decided to leave a review, the staff are really nice and caring. Great clinic!

I love my Dr. Dr Ryan is the best!

Called 3 times to set up a new patient appointment, waited on hold for 6 minutes and was sent to a voice mail to leave a message. I did receive a call back while I was at work and not able to answer the call, the rep didn't leave an extension so I had to call and leave another message. If this is how it is to set up an appointment for a new patient, I am going somewhere else.

jeff tetzloff

DON'T make an appointment here, they know how to make the appointment just not how to keep it. Made appointment over a month ago and a few days before it they call and cancel!! Thanks for nothing, except wasting time!!

C.D. Cromartie

The staff here do an excellent job of making you feel violated. The doctor seems okay, but the staff are just plain horrible. Don't put yourself or a loved one through the experience of an appointment here.

Kimpossible55

My initial experience was a bit disappointing because I had an appt with one of the doctors in advance but then received a call later telling me I needed to reschedule because that doc was no longer accepting new patients. The gal who called me was very apologetic about it but I feel the doc should have honored the appt. I rescheduled with Dr Zarapolous who was wonderful. Front office staff was also wonderful and Jay (Clinic Mgr) went above and beyond to assist me with some add’l resources after my visit. UPDATE: unfortunately I had to downgrade my review. As much as I liked doctor Z and the Clinic Mgr they made it impossible to maintain a working dr-patient relationship. The prescribed medication didn’t work for my son and I was unable to get in touch with my doctor despite a number of calls. That simply doesn’t work. Always got voice mail during business hours and left msgs for his nurse. At one point I did hear back from that nurse who assured me she’d speak with him about an alternative dose or some other solution but I never did hear back. Now I have to start the process over elsewhere.

M Williams

I don’t usually write reviews, but this needs to be addressed. Mia is great, but the office staff is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. First they don’t return phone calls, I called for two weeks and got through to nobody. They always blame on the phone system, the phones have been having problems for over a year? Multiple others have complained. I was off my meds for almost 2 weeks because they didn’t get back to me or CVS pharmacy. Second, don’t pay with cash, they don’t have change and want to just add a credit to your account. Any business should have change on hand for cash paying clients. The office manager should be fired and the company needs to get it together. I ask to see the office manager and guess what? She’s not in!!! Wow! Does this person ever work?! Go to the Gilbert office and stay away from chandler. I wish Mia worked there, not so lucky.
