I went to the Dean Psychology Departments in Sun Prairie and Fish Hatchery and saw 3 different doctors and 2 separate therapists and they were all rude or not helpful (I even filed a formal complaint against the last one), so I finally went out of network and went to Regent Mental Health by a recommendation from my mom. They are super nice, helpful, they don't rush me, they offer constructive advice that works with me, and their schedules are flexible. I'm super glad I found them.

After struggling for several months to find a psychiatrist that had any openings, I was truly blessed to find the doctor I see there. Unlike all of the psychiatrists I've seen in the past, this doctor has kind eyes and good energy. She also really knows her stuff but isn't a know it all (something I have seen with other psychiatrists). The front desk staff are very helpful and compassionate. Thanks RMHG

I have been seeing Dr. Amy Krohn for over two years now, and having seen several psychiatrists in the past, I can confidently say that she is the absolute best yet. From our first session, she was warm, attentive, and immensely caring. She has worked diligently to find the right meds for me, and adjusts them as needed; in addition, she offers non-medicinal treatments, makes sure I am scheduling therapy appointments, and keeps in good contact with my psychologist to assess my disorder. She sees me as often as needed--which was weekly for a long time--and is willing to schedule me outside-of-hours if her schedule is full. If I have a question or simply need to hear her voice, all I need to do is call the office, and I get a call from her that evening to check up on me. She has also been enormously helpful in helping me fill out forms for work, such as FMLA. She is fabulous. Aside from that, the reception staff is friendly, helpful, and discreet, and stays up-to-date on insurance coverage. As long as I live in Madison, I will use the services provided by RMHG.

My therapist is great - caring, compassionate, has been helpful in getting me to move myself forward through difficult times. What would otherwise be a 5 star review is 3 stars because I find the reception staff unfriendly, at times borderline rude, especially when it's necessary to call in. Short, one word answers such as "Nope", when trying to schedule appointments 6 weeks out! It would be nice if they'd at least act like they were trying to be helpful knowing that wait times are long. Really dislike having to deal with them at all.

Friendly staff, short waits to see your provider. Dr. Schaettle is very smart and friendly, but she's booked out at least 6 weeks ahead, so if you're ill and need to reschedule, you'll have to wait ANOTHER 6 weeks for your rescheduled appt.

I feel comfortable reviewing their service, now that I'm no longer under their care. Without going into too much detail, I simply left their care due to an HMO change—no other remarkable reason, and the separation was entirely amicable. With that said, I won't miss their clinic much more than any other I've frequented in the past. Their head Psychiatrist, Dr. Crawford provides fine service; he speaks too quietly and too quickly, and he probably doesn't spend enough time or attention on his patients, but none of the complaints against him are particularly egregious or disproportionate to those you'd have with a typical Psychiatrist of his relative age (very old) or experience (very deep, which is an okay trade-off given the previously stated characteristic). The same general quality and decency found in the back of the house (with the doctors) cannot be found, however, in the front of the house (with the remainder of the staff). With very few exceptions, the rest of the staff I encountered there were either disinterested, seemingly unprepared, or some combination of the two. They neglected to tell me of a cost increase during several appointments (for which I paid in cash, at the front desk, to the individual who billed the appointment), and then subsequently asked me to pay a large retroactive payment for the previously unrequested funds. They double-booked one of my appointments and bumped me from the schedule after a 45-minute commute. They neglected to fill-out and submit my FMLA paperwork by it's due date, forcing it to initially be denied, despite several reminders via phone call from both myself and the FMLA servicer. Generally, they were a headache to deal with, and seemed very disorganized and disinterested in providing quality care to their patients. I would caution you to think twice before you decide seek this clinic's care.
