Horrible!! I understand is a walk in but over the phone they told me it would be around 2 hours waiting, I’ve been seated here for more than 3 hours and I’m still waiting!! If you don’t want to lose your day go somewhere else, I would if I could, now I’m stock waiting!!!!

This place is great for individuals in crisis. The wait can't be longer than an emergency room. I work for a mental health practice and often refer individuals who call my office for first time to IPAC who need immediate help if my office can't meet their needs. I have even referred friends and have only heard good things. They don't prescribe stimulants or benzo drugs so if that's what you need you're going to wrong place. This is a great resource for Fairfax County residents.

This place is a joke. I went there seeking medication adjustment and psychiatric consultation. Instead, they tried to trap me into being committed to a hospital. They cared less about my care and more about getting a judge to mandate my hospitalization. The nurse practitioner was not skilled in bedside manner and was flippant and uninterested.

This place is extremely helpful if you just moved to the area and need a medication refill before you can get in to see a psychiatrist for ongoing assistance. That's all I needed, and I got that. (One reviewer said they don't prescribe medications -- they do actually prescribe some things, like SSRIs, but they don't prescribe certain controlled medications like Ritalin.) The wait was several hours, but sadly, there is nowhere else to go.

The wait is terrible, make sure you get there early or you won't even get a spot at all,was told there are like only 2 doctors working. besides that, the psychiatrist are very nice, and got me what I needed when I needed my meds

They are horrible. The people at the front desk have no idea what they are doing. The billing department is a hot mess, except for Bertina. She is great. Very helpful and professional. Also, the only doctor that was helpful was a female doctor ... but I forget her name. You should definitely try another place. They don't take appointments, which wastes hours of your day. Ridiculous set up and ignorant people working there. Nobody knows what they are doing.

I came here because I was asked by my GP to get a psychiatric pharmacological evaluation to back up a madication regimen he started me on. I chose INOVA because it was close to me, and they are an in-network provider, which is harder to find for mental health services. If you are not served by an INOVA GP, you have to come to this walk in clinic first. No problem, I thought. I got out of work early and headed over. Proceeded to fill out my paperwork, and was expecting a 1-2 hour wait or so, which is what I was told on the phone. I ended up sitting in the waiting room for 3.5 hours before being seen, and was not particularly comfortable with the psychiatrist I was placed with. He made it very clear that this was an in and out clinic, and that he doesn't plan on seeing any patient more than once. We had a brief discussion of my condition before he sent me out the door with a few prescriptions. INOVA, this is NOT more effective than just allowing people to make appointments with a psychiatrist of their choosing. It is inefficient and puts stress on the patient. I will not return to this clinic, and will likely avoid using INOVA healthcare system again.

This place is a lifesaver, getting my meds refilled without an appointment is awesome. Expect a wait, as with any walk in place.

The wait is terrible. There needs to be more staff on hand for the wait. This place is terrible. Just to get a simple refill on a prescription they make you wait for 2 hours. Also don’t bother calling any of the services cause I always go to voice mail.

Every time I’ve gone the wait has been long, but the service was excellent. The only thing wrong with IPAC is that there aren’t more of them! The psychiatrist I saw very nice, and the front desk team is always very helpful!

Guy who said they’re retarded is right. I thought I would get some help immediately because most psychiatrists have 3-4 month long wait lines but even after sitting in their waiting room for FIVE hours they told me they do not prescribe medications. So I’m not really sure what I got out of the last 5 hours of my life other than being told I have problems I already knew about. Don’t waste your time.
