Sybil has been working with my mother for over two years and has not done anything to help her. I went along to one of their "sessions", which basically consists of Sybil talking about herself and her issues for almost the entire hour.

A member of the office staff named Matt called me to reschedule an appointment. When I asked for conformation to be mailed to me he chuckled and said "We don't do that." He then proceeded to act like he asked a coworker for conformation. He even went so far as to suggest that I call back when I am ready to write it down. This is not the first time I have experienced such bullying tactics and a total lack of respect for the patients. Customer service is greatly lacking in the norfolk office and va beach is not that far behind.

Rose Smith is great substance abuse therapist. She has helped me to remain in active recovery.

I am student of psychology at ODU trying to interview someone in the office about how they do things as it is a requirement for my senior year. The lady in the office was incredibly rude and said no one would take the time out of their day to do that! Then hung up in my face and I was just mind blown. Many of these psychotherapist and doctors had to do what I am doing to get where they are at, but of course they must have forgot! The thing that made me was the lady that answered was so rude!

This place is a joke. I read some of these reviews before scheduling my appointment and I should’ve went with my gut instinct and called another practice. My daughter had a therapy appointment with one of the therapist as a process to get her to the right doctor for her ADHD. After meeting with the therapist we were told the psychiatrist Dr. Roberto would be contacting us to schedule an appointment three weeks later never received a call to schedule an appointment with us and I’ve made three calls to the office and they tell me I need to schedule more therapy appointments before the psychiatrist will actually schedule an appointment. The expectation was not set that way during our initial visit and when I called with my concerns it was almost as if how dare you question our practices when they were not setting the expectation to our family from the get-go. It seems like they do not care about their patients and all they care about is double dipping the insurance with therapy/psych visits and running the families in circles to get the proper care they need. With everything happening in the world today I am not surprised that there is another mental health practice dropping the ball And letting their patients fall waist side to their pockets.

There is one super nice receptionist and one receptionist that is a HUGE B*TCH. A couple months ago I had a change in prescription and told the receptionist. She began explaining that this may cause a change in my billing and was really long winded about it. I asked her, can you just take my insurance change and let me worry about the other things later? The bih looked at me, slammed the glass window shut, and grabbed her supervisor who treated me just as coldly. Frustrated, I just kind of tossed my card down. The supervisor loudly insisted I not attack her. EVERYONE in the reception area was looking at me. I was humiliated. I proceeded to have a panic attack during my psychiatrist appointment. My 10 minute appointment turned into about 40 minutes because I had to calm down from the way I was treated. The doctors and therapists are great, as is ONE receptionist. The other ones will lecture you if you are late or don't want to hear them talk. I don't have the time to find other doctors, so I'm stuck here. Overall I don't think the older receptionists are as nice and DON'T REALIZE people are here for psychotherapy and will HUMILIATE YOU in front of EVERYONE IN THE OFFICE. You would have to hold a gun to my head to recommend this place, just because the TWO WOMEN that were INVARIABLY DISRESPECTFUL. I recommend the doctors and therapists here, and as long as you NEVER HAVE ANY CHANGES IN YOUR LIFE EVER and you only have to sign in at the front desk you're fine. Bring something to help you with panic attacks if its a middle aged older woman as a receptionist and you have new insurance informantion. P.S. speaking of medication it was a nightmare trying to orchestrate getting my prescription to the correct pharmacy.

The doctors at Finney Zimmerman have been great for my family. The therapy my daughter receives has helped immensely. They have led us through a difficult time with professionalism and care.

I've been with this practice for over 5yrs. The staff is so friendly & helpful in so many ways. My therapist is honestly my rock. My therapist has helped me get through so much over these years and wish I had the words to express my appreciation for her and all that she does. I'd refer anyone to them!!! Thank you so much for all of your support and guidance you give me and so many others. Dr. Zimmerman and Dr. Roberto you guys are the best!!!!
