Love the way treat you here.

Ashley Young

In a lot of pain and there was nobody in the waiting room and waited 2 hours. They dont seem to Care about their patient's ridiculous.

Adam Petty

Professional medical service by genuinely caring people.

Juliana Case

I went in for a tonsillectomy and had good, informative service.

Lisa Matheson

I will drive to Murray before I go back to LDS in the Aves. Worst care. I left there feeling worse than when I got there.

flutistgirl2010 .

I walked the three blocks from my house, hyperventilating and passing out, to come to the hospital for help. I have no car, and it was the middle of the night past the times the trax run. I literally had nowhere else to go for my emergency. I begged them to give me somewhere else to go - because I knew they would gouge me for all I was worth - but in my weakness I was coerced into receiving "care". The doctor sat me in a room, yelled at me because I was taking too much of her time (I was in so much pain and having such trouble breathing that I could not speak fast enough for her), and then they balance billed me and are outright refusing to negotiate. I received literally no care. They sat me in a room, yelled at me, and then billed me four times what I should have paid for it. The only time in my life I've been billed for being kicked while I was at the lowest point in my life. I won't go there again even if I'm dying on their doorstep.

Marise Costa

This hospital is less than a 1 star. They couldn't care less about anyone!!! It's funny that the first information they get from you is about your insurance. I supose they are very excited to colect your money for service but there is no service. I have been here for one and a half hour. I haven't seen doctors, I haven't seen care. Maybe it's because I have an accent. But what they don't care is that I am American, I was born in America. They only help those that are rich.

Walker Stagg

My wife had our baby here and we had a wonderful experience and all the nursing staff was knowledgeable and very helpful. I would recommend having a child here any time.

So if it wasn't for the fact that my insurance makes me go here, and almost all of my doctors have privilege here, I wouldn't come back to this place. The bad experiences out way the positive. I had to have a catheter(already not pleasent) the nurse used betadine( allergic to ) told her this. She just left it there for awhile. Pitched a fit, should've kept my mouth SHUT, and then she continued to proceed. Let me tell you, she jabbed that thing in there as hard and ruthless as she could. TWICE. Know I've got a wicked rash and I'm in tons of PAIN. This lady SHOULDN'T be in this job. Not to mention the er doctor wasn't really on the ball. Thank goodness one of my doctors was upstairs and came down and took care of the problem in less then 20 minutes. I had already been there for over 3 hours. Like I said I truly love my doctors and wouldn't change any of them for the world. But LDS really needs to up there game and deal with employees that are just going through the motion. I'm getting really tired of leaving this place with new problems because of nurses!!!!

Amy Boehme

Caring attentive and helpful. Great experience. They took great care of my father in law and kept us informed also.

Justin Ward

bad experience, indeed. was treated poorly, all because i am not mromon. no hospital or church, for that matter, should ever treat anyone as bad, as this hospital has.

Megan L

Went here to get tubes placed in my ears and it was the best experience I’ve had with a hospital ever. Everything was quick and the nurses and doctors were so awesome. The surgery went well and the recovery in my hospital room seemed effortless with all the people helping me and talking with me. Definitely planning on coming here for anything I need from now on.

Shantel Fahrni

My mom fell and hurt herself... They took x-rays and said ohhh your fine... Well turns out she has cracked ribs.. and my mom's doctor could feel it with her hands... Horrible place.. they don't care about people or the health of others all you are is another dollar sign in their eyes... Not to mention the cleaning lady is nuts and will bug you for a hour if you let her and she doesn't go away.. I have tattoos on my arms and they treated me as if I was a drug addict or a thug to.. didn't like the little smerks and dirty looks...

Aaron Stubbs

Called to talk to a doctor about side effects experienced by my wife with medication. Just as the directions said to do. Doctor was a complete jerk. Just give me some friendly advice! That's all I want! IHC is HORRIBLE! And LDS IHC is no exception. Last time I visit this out other IHC hospitals if I can help it. Shortly disappointed in the lack of care that doctor had for a concerned husband and his worried wife.

STEVEN

Had a wonderful safe experience

John Poen

I recently visited the ER at this hospital. I am a retired Registered Nurse, so I tend to scrutinize more than the average patient. I was treated kindly and the staff were professional and had shown competency. The care was very good and expedient, even though it was on a busy Friday evening. I was in and out in a lot less time than I imagined. I was impressed and would go back again.

Sarah Jensen

Haven't delivered yet, but I visited labor and delivery today at the request of my OB who was out of the office. They were very kind and helpful, took the time to hear my concerns and even took extra time to give me advice pre-labor & delivery. Wonderful team here I'm excited to have my baby here! Update: Delivered my baby here, happy and healthy. Had a really great experience!! Everyone was very kind, friendly, and encouraging. I would love to deliver here again in the future Second update: Got the sweetest thank you card from our RN that helped me through labor and delivery and our hospital stay. Holly and Tammy were amazing and the rest of the staff too. We had the best nurses over the 2 days we stayed. Thanks LDS!!!

Bran Lovell

Came in for appendicitis and was taken care of absolutely wonderfully. I’m new to the area and the nurses and Dr Kim explained everything and were constantly checking up on me prior to surgery to reduce pain and ensure my comfort. I can’t say fully how grateful I am for LDS Hospital. After my appendix ruptured they moved my surgery up and took excellent care of me from the nurses and doctors to the great milkshakes. Thank you!

Allison Desler

I was born here 20 years ago. Worked well for me

Valerie Gardner

I went to the ER here tonight. I've usually been very happy. But I really felt like a 2nd thought tonight. I really wouldn't know anything if I didn't ask questions...and I still don't really know much of anything. Cameron, the x-ray tech was very sweet and kind. The nurse was pretty ok and I liked the tech who took my blood. But the doctor was full of himself and really irritated me. If I'm in there with one of my complaints being a sore throat, don't be shocked I'm having trouble with you looking at it. And there was another nurse I'm still confused as to what he was there for....

Elena Guzman

The staff and physicians are awesome food is also great, clean and friendly!

Craig Gordon

Food is terrible

David Mecham

Even after being transitioned from a trauma one center the ER staff is stll top notch. They took the time to properly diagnose and replace a dislodged feeding tube... they have the specialists on hand to provide definitive care instead of just patching you up and sending you off to someone else in a week or so. Their same day surgery is also efficient, professional and human... I have never seen them treat anyone like a slab a meat... If only that culture could be transplated to areas of Utah where such a wonderful facility is hard to find.

Delbert Garrett

Great staff members very professional.

K Money

I wish I could have selected 0 STARS. I hate this hospital! I just had the worst experience at the LDS hospital in the avenues I've ever had! I will never go here again! I will always share this experience with everyone I know and tell them all to stay away from this place. RUN! Not everyone that works at the LDS hospital is racist but there are some that discriminate against non whites in my opinion. If the Doctor that helped me says he is not racist then he participates in unfair practices in my opinion. It's 2018 and I experienced that this year. I came into the emergency room with extreme intestinal pain and was given nausea meds (same meds i have at home and the Dr. was aware of that)then discharged a few minutes later. I was still dizzy. I was still in so much pain and when i told the doctor im still in extreme pain he said " Im not going to prescribe pain meds to you? I looked at him and said "sir, i did not come here for pain meds, i came here in hopes of felling better." He discharged me despite being extremely dizzy and having this unbearable pain. As i left I was throwing up out the door and couldn't believe how I was treated. I drove home despite being in worse condition then when I originally arrived at the hospital earlier. If you are a minority or are non lds I would not recommend this hospital. There are so many good doctors in Salt Lake. Why pick a hospital where people can judge you for your color or religion. God Bless! Naydean, why do act so surprised that this place gets such terrible reviews? Just look down the list, everyone is having terrible experiences. I have called you many times but you don't answer or return my phone calls. You say there is more to the story? U need to stop being bias and stop covering for these people that are treating patients bad. This needs to be addressed and maybe one day you will call me. Stop sticking up for this hospital that is not your job. Your job is to investigate not to downplay negative reviews! To everyone else who has had these terrible experiences at the LDS hospital in the avenues, you are not alone. I will file every complaint possible to make sure this gets addressed. I'm fighting for us all. God bless!

Loopy Loopy

Nice nurses took good Care for my newborn in nursery while I was still healing !!!

Travis Pellum

My wife and I had our first child at LDS hospital last month and it was an AMAZING experience. The staff was so helpful and friendly they felt like family, and the facilities were top-notch! We couldn't have had a more positive experience!!!

isamar chavarria

I like this hospitol ER they are always very helpfull with everything But then there is maternity i was with my cousin in delivery room the nurses kept having all other conversations while she was pushing and telling her to man up becouse it could take a long time .. to me that was the most unkind thing to do . It was like they didnt care about her pain or baby .this was a while back i have not had a visit to the maternity section scince then hooe its better but i will not be having any babies there. Again the ER and all other parts of hospitol are great.

Benjamin I Meszaros

Had a terrible experience. Could not get the time of day from nurses or doctors during my wife's week long visit. One of the most stressful hospital visits of my life. To top it all off she contracted a staff infection at the hospital. We then spent the next year battling with the billing. I will never visit LDS hospital again.

Daniel G

Great hospital with lots of history.

Heather Foltz

They take very good care of you here. Wonderful nurses and doctors.

Lynn Allen

My mom fell ill and we didn't know what was wrong. They admitted her into their ICU department. The nurses,Doctors and staff made sure she received the best care possible.

Mike Potter

Update my Mom has gotten to be an ER regular they give her very good care but she is not good at self care. Second trip in 2 days taking her. Only downside for me is the ER Wifi by CenturyLink is horribly slow. Just watching Gold Cup soccer at 40% tablet screen dropping lots of frames. Is annoying. Going off power saver didn't help so not my tablet. Streams well full screen at home even on network extender so not Xfinity...Much earlier: My aged Mom has been several times past few years always gets good care always admitted through the ER. However seems some people are not getting through to her about post care. One stay was for several weeks bed and wheelchair bound. After she was realeased she thought she didnt need physical therapy. Seems to indicate a hospital social worker if any saw her did not get through to her she might lose her mobility. As a result she has lost her mobility to go outside of the house shopping or her haircare....Now she is somehow convinced a doctor told her to just go to the ER for her chronic conditions is the best treatment. She is hard of hearing so perhaps she misunderstood what someone told her. However her nurse or a hospital social worker should have realized that she is hard of hearing. Is well known waiting until have to go to the ER can have fatal consequences if a tongue is swollen can't breathe. While I try to work at home can't always and not at all from June though September. Of course I have 3 weeks vacation a year too.

David Thomson

Gteat Job, I was so very uptight, and they helped me get past that. Good Job.

Julie Coleman

I love volunteering and being a patient at LDS Hospital. The Volunteer Application I picked up helped save my life. I enjoy getting education and therapy I need every day for the rest of my life. I appreciate everything you are doing to help me recover from everything I went through. I was always getting myself to the hospital emergency department because I desperately needed help with everything. I enjoy helping everyone with everything. Thank you very much Intermountain Healthcare.

Elaine Barrus

Not a safe place for anyone going through mental health issues.

Nancy Workman

Horrible. Nurses there to visit with each other, not to care for patients. Pain was never given. Thought they were giving pain, but was an antibiotic.. That caused nausea which they never addressed. Horrible. Even with family member advocating then cursing then hollering...nurses never moved to take care of patient. Horrible. Does NOT need to be that way.

Jeff Christensen

Waiting in the waiting room enjoying fresh coffee

Patty Stewart

The Hospital generator station on 9th ave and C street makes a loud low rumble that shakes the whole neighborhood. This level of noise pollution is certainly not good for health and wellness.

Aaron Boykin

Staff and security where great a efficient.

Teresa Bustos

They charge for everything! They didn't expect my mothers insurance. Took 5 months to get her FIRST ultrasound. We come here on time for her appointment and waited almost two hours! While other people got here and with 20 mins they'll go in. I expected more from this hospital since its a LDS hospital, but I was wrong.

Bill Entwistle

I recently had outpatient surgery. Everyone I met on the Surgical Services Staff was professional and caring. I especially want to thank my Post-Op RN Louise, for being especially caring, patient and knowledgeable. I had a very positive experience.

Jo O

Love love their delivery, had my baby there and best experience ever. Nurses and doctors were great. So sweet and attentive. Out of my three children LDS was my best experience. So calming, everyone was amazing.

VIcki Kielsmeier

This emergency room is no comparison to IMC. If it wasn't so far down there from where we live I'd be there!!! No compassion for pain!! Took my 82 year old father who fell and hurt his shoulder was made to sit for ever in extreme pain!!!!!! Seriously it's the ER not a clinic!! Still sitting here!!! Ready to make drive!!

Jesus Moreno

LD was awesome. We will have our next baby here

Yanjun Li

Great hospital and Doctor but Worse billing department. Registration tells there will be self paid discount but received huge bills from them after surgery. They give insurance company 50% contract discount. How about people don’t have insurance? Try to contact billing department’s supervisor many times nearly impossible. Rip off.

David Maas

I've seen my SO go to a lot of mental health facilities and this one is by far the worse. It's worth going to really extreme length to go to either of the other two major facilities. The main problem is they just detain people forever without any apparent logic, your loved ones are just stuck. Additionally they have guards that are threatened by people with mental health problems, don't separate out violent patients, seem unequipped for normal health emergencies (like someone who can't breath), show a lack of management and unnecessarily involved my SO in the legal system. They even showed up to pass on some half-assedly collected information. It's been so long since my fiance recovered from her mental health problems that we're probably going to need to hire a lawyer. I suspect they have poor management? It's really worth doing anything you can to go to Salt Lake Behavioral or UofU instead.

Ilona Harden

They get the job done, but don't come here expecting to be treated by professionals. My friend is currently in the leukemia ward and I have never encountered such an unattentive and unresponsive medical staff in my life. The older RN's are good, but most of them are just terrible.

Chantelle Cluff

This place saved my life thank you to the amazing staff and not giving up kept pushing to get me the care i needed

Forrest Webster

LDS hospital rigged the system. They profited by refusing my insurance. They charged me full price and refused my appeals. They cost me tens of thousands of dollars out of pocket. I got no relief and I followed the insurance nightmare rules. Don't go to this hospital unless you fit in their preferred patient programs. They discriminate through insurance contracts to pick and choose their patients to maximize profits. They don''t represent anything LDS. They absolutely failed my family and you could be next. This crooked place is not a good part of this city or this state. They don't care for you unless they can take you for the maximum. I've never been in such a heartless healthcare facility. IHC, Shame on you and your board, you administrators and public representations. You have done more harm to my family than good. The harm of you service farther outweigh any benefits of the health care you provided to my family.

Brianne Bradley

Nobody likes going to the hospital, but this place is really good. I've been here, and I've had family members treated here for various reasons from knee surgery to hospice to a twisted ankle. I feel like they treat us like people here rather than numbers, and the emergency room wait has always been short. (Maybe I'm just lucky though.)

Brianna Smith

Had to go last night to ER. Doctors were all very attentive and kind. Especially the radiologist Josh and Dr. Vogel. thank you!

Christina Maurer

I recently had to get an Endoscopy done at this Hospital and the staff was awesome, professional, respectful, courteous and incredibly detail with what was going to happen...they took care of all my needs... And the best part was that 5 days after the procedure they sent me a note personally singed one by one of the staff.. thanking me for letting them care for me... In ink not, a generic stamp thing... That's why I give them 5 stars!!!

Theresa Montoya

Love my Psychatrist Dr. Nicole Dawis and I love my fiances Psychatrist Dr. Daniel Dawis but the reason why I'm giving a 1 star is because the access center is a JOKE I used to think okay it's a safe place to go to if I can't calm down or they will do a med change. took my fiance here for his psychosis and hopefully do a med change but nope lol. They just send ya home with a safety plan and no help at all. They just waste your time. I'd rather go to an actual ER then the access center again because they would actually calm me down or my fiance. not to mention we wait here for 4 hours with no response. Its a waste of time do not come here if your really seeking help your better off at the freaking ER then the access center. Wasted my time and my fiances. I'm KKKupset too cause I thought this was a safe space for me but it is definitely not anymore.

Jeremy Alvin Turner

I had surgery here and the experience was very successful. Here is a a big thank you to Dr. Hill, Mary (PACU), Amy (Pre-op RN), Stephannie (Pre-op RN) and Amber (PostoP RN). If I need help again I will be back!

Svitlana Okliyevych

Amazing stuff. Received a great care at ER for my mom. Dr. Mckean, Johnatan B. And all the nurses made sure my mom feel better before we went home, and next day we were able to get an appointment set up with cardiologist. Financial Assistance consultant Kathryn Morison was very helpful and very caring for our situation. She helped me to fill out application and answered all the questions . When I was there Kathryn made me feel welcome and she was there for my situation. I would want to say a big thank you to Kathryn for being a such a sencire lady. Her kindnes to people makes a big difference. Thank you LDS hospital for having best employees and patient service ever!

Tyrell Willie

This is a very out standing hospital and the people are the ones that make the hospital. Very awesome doctors, and nurses. If I get sick or any of my family, this is the kind of place I want my family to be taken care of. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU ALL DO.

Kyle Daley

My wife and I were impressed with the level of service provided here. I'm not surprised to hear that some people have had a bad experience, you never know what you're going to get with so many different staff members.

SquishMcDuck

Ridicoulous care. Their religious views impare help with meds.

Andrea Janzen

Great hospital helped with my grandpa.

Otto Castro

Great Hospital!!! No words.. just 10

Chris R

I'll start on a good note. The nurse and tech were great. But the doctor however was condescending, had terrible bedside manner, and was downright rude. Even under the most stressful of shifts, doctors are held to a standard for professional conduct. I may not work in the industry, but I know enough to know when things aren't right. Best believe I'll be filing a grievance against said doctor with IHC administration in the morning. Six hours in the emergency room is ridiculous. Flu season, it may be, but there is ZERO excuse for this.

Ruben Hernandez

Important place

MC Bateman

I had surgery on my abdomen. Just to note a couple things: 1. Anesthesiologist never even warned me he was about to cover my face and did it so sloppy I panicked. 2. My night nurse and aid (first night - 8 hours after surgery) were so difficult to get to my room. I couldn't walk without assistance and was a fall risk. I called the nurses station 6 times over 45 minutes and told them over and over I needed to use the restroom. It took 45 minutes at 2am for anyone to come help me. I was screaming from my bed. Yelling "please help"...nothing! 3. Same night aid had to help me get up to use the restroom and while I was in there she left. Just walked out of my room and shut the door. I waited 10 minutes in the bathroom hoping not to fall when I finally had to call someone to help me back to bed. 4. The day after surgery the nurses wanted to remove all my staples. The DAY after. I finally got in touch with the surgeon who said "No way, they stay in 10 to 14 days. Don't let anyone near you to remove them". There was one night nurse who was amazing....Lorraine. if you are on the 6th floor I'd be very careful of anyone else.

I was born here!

James Shaver

Hospitals suck they are so slow

KC Harris

My every need was handled professionally and with care. I could not be more greatful for the help they gave me in this difficult time of my life. My pain was reduced and my general health was greatly increased by the end of my stay. I will be bringing my family and friends here.

Aaron Smyth

We received excellent care from (almost) every staff member, and we felt included in decisions and throughout our stay. Gotta admit, we were pleasantly surprised at the food you get rough room service. High quality and prompt delivery.

Thao Nguyen

Terrible terrible place. My dad has a Colonoscopy here tomorrow and they didn't even send any proper instructions as to, how to prep for the colonoscopy. I gave them literally 5 calls weeks prior in regards to the prep and they transferred me to different people. When I called in today for instructions and told them about the incident they said "well I'm sorry about that" like in a rude manner. She told me the instructions are all online. She said it as if it was my fault and I should've known about the online intructions. Had they told me that before, there would've been no problem. Turns out my dad has been fasting longer than he needed to, 12 hours to be exact. Terrible customer service.

Matt Johnson

Great ER, Great Staff! I’d take my family here any day!

Abraham Hoffman

Very welcoming and beautiful from the inside and out!!

Linn Gittins

I was prescribed 4 times the recommended dose of medication by Dr. Rapp. Use caution!

Selena Taylor

Love LDS hospital. Having my 3rd natural birth there in August. Excited!

meettherosenfelds 1985

I had willingly checked myself in to get the mental help I needed I was transferred here from Alta view hospital. Well the nurses were sweet and some of the staff. But when I was released I came in with my belongings like my globe skate boarding shoes and my purse. Well they managed to give me my Identification card and social security card which was in my purse. needless to say i left the hospital bare footed and without my purse very unprofessional.

Justin Young

This is the worst hospital in the world. I tether go to a hospital in Africa than this one. The staff does what ever they want and does not care what you have to say. They do what ever is best for them not what is best for the patient. They are rude and ignorant. they all have some thing against you being there but you are they one giving them a job and they expect you to make their life as easy as possible but your the one that is in pain trying to get better.

Mason Henderson

The doctors in the ER couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me so they sent me home with a few pain pills and told me to come back. I’m still in a ton of pain, have nothing for it and have no idea what is wrong. This was a horrible experience and I will never come back here.

Todd Maxwell

Visiting salt lake needed appendix surgery, couldn't ask for any better doctors and nurses , made my stay as good is it could be. Lindsay and samantha in the er were great and dr. Richard's was awesome . Thank you to all who helped .

Pablo Quiroga

Great Staff!!! Thank you all the staff at LDS hospital for your great work!

Joe Knight

They do not take care of there patients

Kit Cat

I went there for medical treatment, I had an amazing experience with the hospital as well as the staff!

Elizabeth Coca

I had an awful experience at Lds hospital. I thought because it has a name Lds i thought the people that works there would be nice to me.. They weren't. Im disappointed of their service at the emergency room#23

Alexis Jasek

Super fast service for a mammogram.

Michael Stenberg

You'll pay for treatment, pay for the deductible and checks after insurance; then they'll come back again years alter 1-2+ or 5 years then claim you owe them 100's to 1000's of dollars in more charges that you already paid for. I would never recommend this location as they obviously are all about profits, are dishonest with costs and all about making up new charges and then recharging on medical care which is above costs for what it should be but they can make anything up then send it to collections and ruin your credit as there is no way to debate these charges (which they can make anything up).

Dan

Was referred here for an mri. Called for cost estimate. Had the procedure. Got a bill for more than the estimate and was told the dr charge is separate. Why would it not all be included in the cost estimate? Also the cost was literally 10x the cost a stand-alone facility charges that only does mri’s. $5,000 vs $500. Shameful. Never, ever, again.

Carie Emerson

Why don't they have better bed-side manner??? I didn't feel like a sick human with medical professionals caring for me. I felt like a bother to them and they were just putting up with me.

Jarlin De leon

It's a great hospital. The only downsides I noticed was that the parking lot is across the street from the hospital and that they don't allow kids under 13 when you're getting a ultrasound. But it's easy to find this place and the staff members are friendly.

Nate Westphal

Poor communication, a waste of my time

Tammy Seegmiller

Amazing doctors, nurses and other employees. The Gift Shop is the best I've ever been in!

Greg Spjute

Great maternity ward. The cafeteria food is above average as well.

Kristina Roberts

My dad was rushed to the hospital and everyone on the staff in Emergency staff was very personable and kept me informed of what was happening. Our nurse was awesome. The medical field is nothing without these selfless nurses! Thank you for taking care of him as if he is a loved one and not just a number! It makes a big difference!

Casandra Melo

Amazing service, amazing staff, amazing food, amazing care, amazing Hospital! If you need Carr make sure you choose the LDS Hospital.

andrea hanson

There was a surgical nurse named Carrie (I think, I asked her probably ten times, poor woman) who was amazing. I told her I needed to be discharged on time to be home when my kids got off school and she got on the phone and started calling everyone who needed to do something before I was disharged and made it happen. Great staff overall. The surgery was a little later than it was scheduled, but that’s just how hospitals seems to operate. Pun intended.

Alan Rindlisbacher

The Wound Care Clinic at LDS Hospital is excellent. The staff is friendly, compassionate, caring and professional in the services they provide. As a family, we are grateful for the relationships we developed with the doctors and staff as they provided weekly care for a family member for several months.

Lanette Perkins

I went in because I could not walk because I dropped a heavy object on my foot. Its swollen and purple. My toes were deformed. They did an xray and sent me home. They asked if I could walk? duh no thats why I got an ambulance ride I could not even drive. They did not wrapped it or tell to put ice on it. Didnt do anything but an xray. They asked me if I wanted crutches. Of course they made me walk out in excruciating pain on crutches. They didnt give me anything for pain. Sat in there for over 4 hours crying in pain. I will never go there again. Im supposed to have surgery there not going to happen now. Im not going to suffer in pain sorry. You will not get 1 penny of my money. I have to go to urgent care to get a boot to walk in cant find that in a dam store. Idiots.

Eva Lietz

Always clean and friendly staff

Ashley Conklin

Amazing hospital. Such caring and professional staff.

Juan Ramirez

Very nice staff . Friendly and helpful at all my needs, . Doctor Jackson is great.

Justin D

Dont know what the other oosts were about...I was admitted into west wing w815 and what great staff jennifer especially went above and beyond expectations

RyanandJannali Ouzounian

Amazing hospital, had one of my babies there, we loved the staff ♥️ everyone was so helpful and caring.

Sarah Livingston

Urges were great to me, but they seemed a little short staffed. But again the crew was wonderful, tender hands, genial and make sure you were comfortable.

Gayle Tippets

I have been to emergency and had two surgeries at LDS hospital and the service was fantastic. Everyone was so caring and professional. I do not have any complaints.

Laura M

If you're an addict whose made the decision to get clean and need a safe environment to detox and withdrawal, nothing will make you feel more sure and validated about it than talking to the women who answered my call. I have never in my life been more uncomfortable simply asking a question, she was so incredibly rude, as if my call was the biggest inconvenience of her day. Absolutely no kindness or life in her voice at all. This phone call was my first impression of not only your detox program but your hospital as a whole, and I am beyond unimpressed. Making the decision to get clean is not an easy one, in fact it's pretty damn scary. I can't help but wonder if the rest of the staff, (especially the care takers) are as warm, compassionate and in love with their jobs as much as she so obviously is. The last thing I need in this experience is feeling worse about myself than i already do by the people who are suppose to help me. It's unfortunate because I love Intermountain, but this 2 min phone call has most definitely given me a very bad taste in my mouth. I'm sorry but you can't act like that if you work in healthcare, it doesn't matter what your position is, in general there's nothing more hurtful and discouraging to a patient than someone who doesn't care. It only takes ONE bad experience. I actually had every intention to schedule an appointment with that phone call but I just couldn't bring myself to inconvenience her more than I already had. If this is an acceptable way for your employees to answer the phone and speak to potential patients than i cannot imagine what the caretakers get away with. Very scary.

AWESOME staff! I'm from out-of-state and I'm telling you, if I could travel from Florida to this hospital every time I needed to go, I would. Those people were absolutely amazing. Quick. Caring. Funny. Knowledgeable. Best healthcare facility I've ever been to! A+++++++

The time it takes to repsond to patients is atrocious and the care is questionable at best. My mother recently had a procedure that required a 3 night stay. They are so understaffed that they changed floors after the 1st night. They failed to set up her phone charger and the hospital line in her room rang for a solid 5 minutes. I gave up and had them transfer me to the nurse desk: She had heard it ringing and done nothing. That same night a piece of equipment was going off in her room for 30 minutes, disturbing her rest and Recovery, she pressed every single button she had for the nurses station but they didn't respond. She had to call me, and I had to call them from home in order to get someone to turn off the piece of equipment. She is completely dependent on their care to reach, move, or do anything as it was a major hip operation. I am not impressed. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. I would give it zero stars but that's not an option **the staff tonight has given me more hope, but my overall impression remains at disapproval.

Older facilities, but we were impressed with the care of the staff after having two children here and two surgeries.

Cheyenne Bolding

I recently delivered my baby here. I gotta say I HATE HOSPITALS but LDS made that feeling of uneasyness go away. Very professional staff in Labor and Delivery and the Post partum care. The nurses and Cnas are great make you feel special and listen to your needs. Also the lactation consultants are super helpful. Very happy I had my baby boy at this hospital will return for other deliveries.

Emily Mathews

I was very impressed with LDS Hospital. The staff are excellent and they really are helpful. When I went to the ER for a severe headache and dizziness they were right there taking the time to help me get feeling better. They deserve 5 stars.

This hospital is a complete joke with their housing unit on the 8th floor they left our mother unattended, unclean, dehidrated and feverish. My family had to take matters in their own hands to clean our mother, change her bedding and also give her water. We ask multiple times for assistance when staff is standing around with nothing to do but say to us they will send assistance only to go 30 to almost a hour with no help! The staff here are very unprofessional they would be joking about patients in other rooms are flirting with one another this is a hospital not a social media website get your people in check Intermountian lds hospital....! On a good note the icu on the 6th floor is on check and is friendly and outstanding they have great service with a unique skill I haven't seen used in other medical facilities that is why it gets one 1 star Dr Pearl is a good doctor and the nurses that helped him always wore a smile and were kind. Please do not house your family or friends here I recommend a different hospital for that service like the University of Utah.

Kim's Experience-I just had my first surgery and a not so lucky one,I heard recovery is quite painful. I was SO nervous i cried and dreaded it for a week! It's been 15 hours and it was not as painful as it said to be. The anesthesiologist, surgeon, and staff were all so supportive and caring. Nothing but good vibes in the rooms, and hallways. I am not in pain. I I'm 24 years old and I gave birth in 2008 and the staffing in the labor and delivery unit were also very sweet and caring. My mother had a brain aneurism in early 2000 and was possible this aneurism would paralyze her, or even cause death. she survived with no problem and is the same person she was before the aneurism. She recovered safely. My dad is 75 who also had open heart surgery 5 years ago. 7 bypass surgery and is still walking strong. This hospital has proved to me that it is the best. Has NEVER let me down. I will always trust them with my life in their hands.

Still here. Got in within 3 minutes.

DO NOT GO TO THEIR EMERGENCY ROOM, If I could give 0 or negative stars I would. If another emergency room is the same distance or a little farther save yourself the poor treatment and go to the other emergency room I was treated beyond poorly from the time I arrived to the time I left. from being cursed at to no medical treatment being done to me this was the worst hospital stay in my life. this applies specifically to the Emergency Room not the rest of the of the hospital.

S. Tsao

I was sent here to detox off of alcohol... Needless to say they stopped my medication(s) bc they thought I was fine. I was going to be released the following day. Apparently I was not fine bc I had a seizure, fell hit my head ended up with a skull fracture, brain bleed and a hematoma. After the seizure and brain injuries I went into the delirium tremens that lasted for several days. Due to this hospital and its lack of ICU I was sent in an ambulance to the Murry IHC ICU. Their negligence almost killed me. Hospital staff and Murry IHC ICU did not think I was going to make it.

Good service

The staff are amazing and caring! There's room service included with an amazing assortment of delicious food! I stayed here for a few days to deliver my first kid and I will definitely be back for future pregnancies. This hospital is awesome! I highly recommend them.

Mat Hussey

My experience was fantastic. The pre-op, post-op, nurses were fantastic. My son was born with a cleft palate, and multiple other problems. We have been to lot's of different hospitals, and the staff at LDS, beat's them all.

Golda Barton

My mom is dying and she can't breath they didn't even tell my mom where the bathroom was or that there was one available. She could die we are in the the emergency room and we have been waiting here for 10 minutes.

Best of the best!

This place is AMAZING great care from the staff from start to finish had my baby here on a walk in they did everything to make sure that we were both happy healthy and taking care of the staff was in here every 2 hours at the most to make sure that me and the baby didn't need anything they also help me with feeding advice do the latching issues so this place is all around amazing

Zachary Peck

The staff is great!

Shad Roundy

They are fixing my wife

Camille Crandall

I loved having my delivery here, twice. The staff was wonderful and respectful of my wishes and how I wanted certain things handled. They were very supportive of skin to skin and exclusively breastfeeding feeding. They were generous with the food they feed you, enough to share with my husband too. I always had a view out my window too. Cheery place to have a baby.

Pamela Hiatt

avoid this hospital if you are transgender. You will not be respected

Bruce Boyes

Friendly local service

Stormy Rodriguez

They've always treated me with great bedside manners. I recommend this hospital. They were the ones who found my heart problems. Great doctor's, nurses and staff all the wat around.

Molly Hickcox

Wow. Their operators are so rude - kept cutting me off every time I called the main line. In your first contact with a hospital you should be greeted with someone who cares what you're asking about!

M Hansing

Nice people

Briene Andrews

I'm sorry but the reason I'm rating this so low is for the fact that it took them 6 to 7 hours just to test and treat my fiance for her cold, also the staff really try to push you to do more tests, stay longer, or even ignore you for an hour or so. I honestly felt like the lds hospital was in a way trying to force it's belief system onto is just like the mormons do.

mwoodwa214 .

We have spent 4 months in the hospital and my hubby has had excellent care... enough said!!! Love the hospital

Tiffany Bass

Worst Patient Care in The World! I would NEVER return or recommend any to this hospital . Over 6 hours in the room. No one came to check on me or give me an update on my case. I was in pain and nothing was given for it. When I asked how much longer I was told that I was wasting Kristina time. Dr. Jolley had ill patients that he had to take care of. I ended up just leaving and making an appointment with my MD.

Taniyah Brickey

The staff here are phenomenal!!! They are so kind & patient it’s almost unnerving

Mom was admitted with very serious problems, being diabetic and in renal failure. We never expected the treatment Mom received. Mom was a large woman, and almost 80 years old. As her condition progressed, she was gaining weight rapidly from fluid retention, and she was having difficulty walking. We walked in as a female physical therapist was berating her, and yelling that she wasn't going to risk injury by helping her. Dad told her to stop it and get more help, but the damage was done. Mom was humiliated and withdrew. The wife of the patient in the next room told us they were verbally abusing Mom, and she would record it if we wanted her to. The quality of care at this facility has really declined. I wish we had taken her anywhere but there.

lestat iero

LDS has the most amazing, caring, attentive nurses I've ever had the pleasure of being treated by. And I've had a lot! Much love to floor 8 nurses!

This place is like an old friend.

Most trustworthy hospital. Angels work here.

Last week, I found myself needing to go to the Emergency Room and chose LDS Hospital. I had gone to an affiliated hospital the week before for the same problem and wouldn't return there if it was the only place left to go! My experience at LDS was night & day from the (affiliated) hospital. I was given extremely kind and professional care from the moment I walked in. The tech showed me to a room very quickly and within minutes, there were Nurses and techs attending to my immediate needs. The atmosphere there was so comforting and I felt like I was in competent hands and that they were going to do everything they could to resolve my issue. The Doctor was very professional but also very personable and I was so impressed with the seamless way my situation was addressed by several people. My Doctor even contacted another specialist who took the time to come & visit my room to set up a treatment plan. The Specialist followed the process through after I was released and I've now had the procedure completed that I needed to move forward. I highly recommend this facility. The staff is amazing - friendly, attentive and competent and the facility is very clean and comfortable. I am very satisfied and hopefully I won't have to return to a hospital, but if I do, I'm quite sure it will be LDS.

They have always been great! Until.... I have been suffering from severe migraines for 20 years and a couple of weeks ago it got so bad that my boyfriend took me to the ER. After a very long wait I was informed that they could only give me one shot to help with the pain and then I had to LEAVE, they could do nothing else. It was very upsetting. Fortunately I did start to feel better.

Aneth Centeno

Less than 1 star for this hospital.!!! The experience today was horrible, my niece was sick and in a lot of pain and Dr. Gilbert, Eric H., just cared about her status in the US, such a rasist. Nurses were very mean. She needed water and they took about 30 minutes to bring it after we told like 3 different people. Hey do we really have to remind them if we are in the ER is not because we want make new friends? it's because we need HELP. Now come on!!!

Zack Adams

Had our baby here and very much enjoyed it. Wasn't very crowded and the peeps took good care of us.

Isis Carrasco

Great hospital had my first son here and looking forward to having my second one here also. Everyone is really attentive and kind. Had all my questions answered really love this hospital and it's the only one I will go to. Hope they always keep up there good work!

Margaret Rijkelijkhuizen

Great medical and admin personnel.

Regina Crump

I have never had such a caring, efficient, professional hospital experience before. As a tourist visiting the city and suddenly faced with acute appendicitis, I couldn't have been in better hands! The entire staff was Wonderful. Many thanks to all of you!

Ana Corina Bancila

Friendly and timely registration for imaging appointment

Tyler Stoker

Excellent facility. Friendly staff.

Deborah Reeves

Nothing this is a horrible place with incompetent staff.

I can only speak to Orthopedic Surgery at LDS Hospital from check in to check out and the food service. Between my wife and me, we have had multiple orthopedic surgeries elsewhere and I have also had multiple heart procedures in 3 states. The care received at LDS Hospital was off the chart outstanding as was the special order restaurant menu. Guys were quickly available throughout day and night to help me in and out of bed (prostate), the recliner and bathroom. The nurses answered all questions as did the entire staff to my satisfaction before leaving my room. The staff seemed to get along great and covered for each other if one was too busy with another patient. The check in process, home health care, physical therapy and discharge meeting were all informative and thorough. Importantly, I did not have to wait for hours to check out once I was cleared and ready. 5 Stars!

Aracely Benitez

I just had surgery here and I couldn’t be more thankful. It was a great choice going there. The Dr and nurses made me feel at home even though I was a bit terrified. They also made my daughters feel more comfortable with the whole experience. Thank you so much.

Bryce and Rachel Perry

I have been pleased with the Labor & Delivery department at LDS. The nurses were friendly and encouraging. The meal services met our needs. I was very pleased with the Endoscopy department. I have chronic conditions that may lead to after-hour medical care needs, so I have been to the ER a couple times. Their ER department is the best ER that I have been to despite one quirky physician that was obviously overwhelmed with my condition. However, the ER department is very willing to contact primary care physicians and make sure that someone that knows the patient best is helping to determine the best course of action.

Kency Noriega

Best place ever!

Helen Beardall

Thank you 6 & 7 North for taking such good care of my husband!

I spent a week in the Psych unit and hoped for more than what I got. I didn’t appreciate the lack of knowledge the techs had, as they were not able to understand my compulsive skin picking behavior and only saw it as self harm with an intent to cause purposeful injury. This was not so. Understanding isn’t their thing I guess. They didn't care about what I had to say (I’m the patient and they were the staff, clearly I’m not worthy of their time) when I tried to explain to them the complexity of skin picking disorder, as my health professionals in the past have to me. The Doctors and the RNs even sometimes were wonderful, but unfortunately we spent the most time with the Techs, which is to be expected. The biggest thing that really got me was the dehumanization and lack of respect. I shouldn’t be able to hear the nurses station from across the unit from them laughing loudly and being obnoxious. It was horrible at night too, and very very disrespectful to the people that came to heal, that are trying to sleep. I came to LDS wanting to end my life and feeling absolutely hopeless and empty; but to be treated like I’m some sub species of human really made me feel like garbage. The techs gave me a new light on how I saw myself and made me ever more ashamed that I had all these illnesses, and it was embarrassing. There were no patients anywhere near my age, so sometimes when I was lonely, I wanted to make little conversation with an available tech that didn’t have things to do. It hurt when I saw that the tech looked at me like she just saw a roach. Guess what, I’m human too, just like you. I came to heal, not to feel like I’m back in high school being rejected from the Cheer club’s lunch table.

I had a colonoscopy done today, TMI I know, but I just wanted to leave a raving review for every part of my experience at LDS Hospital today. The checkin process was easy and quick, when I went to the endoscopy area for my procedure the nurses there were wonderful and very nice. After my procedure I was taken very care of very well, and sent on my way when I was ready. People that have rated this hospital low, I don't understand your ratings.

Traci Franz

If I come for an MRI it's a very long walk for those struggling to walk

I am here for USG .... Professional attitude and latest technology!

Each experience I have had with this hospital has been amazing. From the lab, to the maternity floor, to the classes offered, every person I have interacted with has been amazing. They are very thoughtful and put the needs of you first. They were always concerned about my comfort and health and everyone was so friendly while still maintaining a high level of professionalism. Additionally, the staff took the time to send a card after the arrival of my daughter that was signed by my doctor and all of the nurses that cared for us while we were there. I had a wonderful experience and I plan on having my future children there as well! I would recommend this hospital in a heartbeat!

Lindsay Lamoreaux

Have loved every experience I have with LDS. They have extremely qualified surgeons, and I have nothing but good to say about their staff.

Mindy Wiseman

I had a scheduled C-Section done here and loved it!!! All of the nurses were so nice, they were very helpful in the NICU, and took really good care of us. The rooms were a little small and so was the bathroom, but they cleaned everyday. :)

Clayton Pehrson

The psych. Ward / behavioral Units here are terrible. The staff are Lazy and don't even come get you for groups they announce it on the speakers in the unit, and they do not let you eat enough. The staff are always grump and vengeful and they try to make it as miserable as possible to get help here. They also lock and turn off all TV's and demand if you don't go to group to be put in your room with the door shut. I wanted to go to every group but one time they even told me that I was not allowed to Wich confused me because I I thought it was encouraged. They forced me into a padded room because I didn't want to take Halitol because I have had seizures on it and I was not even prescribed it. I asked for Lorazepam Wich I am prescribed and they refused acting like I was dangerous. They then got 5 security guards to hold me down in an excessive agresive manner and I even told them I was not resisting but they were abusing patient rights to request the proper medication and I told them that I would report that to the patient advocate and any other agency I could. They not only forced me to take Halidol Wich I allowed against my will peacefully without resisting but they also gave me a full needle of Adavan with it Wich was what I requested in the first place. I had more than one sieszure experiences on Halitol prior to this abuse of my patient rights that were DOCUMENTED. I had another one in that padded room. They also refused to treat me on a separate visit to their Emergency room for a psychiatric breakdown and suicidal depression and an Anxiety attack. I had no Medications and they still forced me to leave and I was so broken after that that I left IN the hospital Robe because I refused to be around such discriminant staff who refused to help me when legally they should not have been allowed to do so. I felt like a real Marcus Hopsin brought me back to the song Lusafer effect with Swizz and Hopsin. It was unbelievable how terrible they treated me and it should not have been legal.
