Nicholas Gray

I have PTSD, bipolar, and BPD and went in as an inpatient. MHMRA said that I could go for less than 24 hours as my family is very hard on money right now and did not want to miss my work hours. They decided to commit me and for two days, I slept on hard plastic benches in a room full of several other people eating food that (my mother says) was worse quality than jail food. No shower. I was finally transferred to Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire at the end of the 48 hours where I received much better treatment. I have had no issue getting my medication from them, however the inpatient experience was absolutely horrible.

I love this place but i can not come here every week

Dayna Pinder

The staff was rude and unhelpful.

had a pretty good experience here. Dr.Flores and Dr. sears are top notch IMO. The CSU unit is very impressive with a very caring staff with the exception of A nurse named Jose. Jose has no compassion and is obviously burnt out. Time for a change.

Worthless. Absolutely worthless. I called this so-called hospital regarding a young woman needing help. I was told to interrogate her to get her psychiatrist's name and number and give them a call. When I asked for a supervisor I was placed on terminal hold and I never got one. Zero is way too high of a number. Pi negative to past infinity is way too high of a number. If you need to save someone, take them out of state.

If you are on a serious budget and think Mental Health service is something that would be very valuable to you, than know that this place will really help you out and will not make you suffer to finance there service. However, I'll give you a heads up, the providers and staff there could occasionally talk to you like you are some serious source of mischief, which for me somewhat bothered me.

My daughter was there from Saturday til Tuesday and they let her out without even telling me. I had just spoken with the Dr earlier that morning. I called and asked why did they let her out without calling me and all she could tell me was that there was a little miscommunication on their part and offered her apology. I have to take my daughter to another facility because she came back with the same behavior! This place sucks!!

The staff seem to be very professional. Amazing doctors and social workers. Moreover the only problem is long waiting line. But other than that everything went really well.

Don't try calling them in the afternoon! They will Not answer the phone after 12pm to try scheduling for an appointment! The best thing is call first thing in the morning, or go in person and ask for a supervisor to physical schedule there! They will say that they were busy.. That is b.s.! They need to find someone willing to work and multitask instead of accepting this lazy person's behavior!

If you or someone you know are trying to help seek emergency psychiatric assistance be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait. My friend suffers from Bipolar disorder, after being off of her medication for several weeks her symptoms worsened and we sought help from NPC. The first visit we were turned away after calling to confirm that they were accepting patients and driving an hour across town. The second time we were informed that it would be at least a 2 hour wait while they changed shifts, and after 4 hours my friends mania worsened to the point of fleeing. The final trip to NPC was in the back of a patrol car after she was arrested for several charges BECAUSE SHE WAS MENTALLY ILL AND WAS UNABLE TO RECEIVE SERVICES FROM ANYWHERE IN HARRIS COUNTY! If you care about someone who is mentally ill, get them out of this retarded, money hungry, backwards ass county and take them to a place where people care about their situation and well being. No place in the Houston area offers it, unless of course you have the money to afford private services or are not in a situation that requires anything from the tax payer funded organizations that fail miserably at what they are created to do.

It's the best place to go when you're feeling a little crazy.

Rude rude staff!!!!

Shannon Erin-Michelle Hilliard

I appreciate the fact that the clinic is there and available to those with mental health needs but simply can't afford it. However, this is a sub-standard clinic. Most staff is rude and unprofessional. Long wait times. Inadequate seating. Some of the doctors seem OK, but then you have those that treat you like a reject. Dr. Moukaddum has horrible manners! I'm not sure if that is acceptable behavior in her country but it is not that way here. She doesn't want any feedback from you. She tells you what you're feeling and what you need. She changed a long time medication I have been on that works well and prescribed another medication stating, "oh no! you don't need to be on that. it's highly abused. You just need to solve your problems yourself without the medications. you need to try harder. I was appalled.

Excellent service. Excellent care with the teens. Many Thank's

Pharmacy tech or whatever she is, was the rudest I've ever seen. I don't understand how hateful people are employed in a hospital.

Roxanne Leon

The nursing techs were very helpful. And so were most of the nurses. However The Doctors were very dismissive. One even shook my hand with a hand full of sanitizer in it. Like I was contagious. They treat u differently if u don't have insurance.

Most of the staff is extremely rude and treat you like a nobody. This is a center made to HELP people and show compaasion and concern for the patients. I habplace e to go to this place, but half the time its just a nightmare. Staff needs some briefing from management on how to better handle patients

Ray Anderson
